Nicole Baker said:The free passes were supposedly available through February 14th—intended for students who had cleared their exams within the last five days. I assume that window has closed by now. Unfortunately. I made the mistake of waiting until the end of some presentation, and missed my chance.😬

I was too lazy to sit for any exams this month. 😁

I couldn't find any ticket pricing listed on their official site—at least, not on my first pass😁
so if anyone has the scoop... 😕
thanks 😉

Actually, disregard that. As soon as I posted this, the info popped up on their website😁

Honestly, I don't care if the food is bitter or spicy—it’s clearly your scent that's the problem for me.
I tried eating while dealing with a stuffed nose... but swallowing is a struggle. 😁

you get used to it.

I'll give you that on the flavor.
You suggested that pumpkin concoction in another thread—tried it, but I only lasted four days before quitting... I'm going to force myself to stick with it this time. My skin isn't terrible, but there's definitely room for improvement... I'll report back with the results.
And hey, you might actually make some money off that recipe of yours. 😉

Is there any guarantee it actually starts at 9 PM?

Hard to say—at the last few screenings I attended, they stayed on schedule.👋
See you there.👋

If you’re a fan of Kieslowski—and if you happen to be living in Washington, D.C.—you should know the Film Society is screening The Decalogue this month. They're running five sets of two episodes every Thursday at 9:00 PM. Entry is free.

I honestly don't know how you get so lucky—I spend years hunting down certain films, yet for you, it’s like they just fall right into your lap...

Quite the coincidence. He hit the nail on the head with that question, so I'm bumping this thread while Eisenstein's cycle is still playing at the local arthouse cinema. 👋

Hyposensitization in Health ·
So, I just had my first experience with Chase
It doesn't seem quite as bad as people say
Hopefully, it actually turns out to be useful
Thanks for the input

Hyposensitization in Health ·
Starting early next year, I’m scheduled to begin desensitization therapy for ragweed (roughly 7-9 months)
The doctor claims there aren't any significant side effects—but frankly, I’d rather hear about actual experiences from people who have been through this.
Did anyone run into issues? Did it actually work for you? And how did you deal with the hassle of heading in twice a week for shots?
If there’s anything else I should know, please share...
Thanks.

I’d almost forgotten all about it—until I stumbled upon that letter in my mailbox
somewhere between a month and a half to two months ago. 😕

That was my thought too

I haven't checked out "Love Letters..." yet—but I did watch "Rondo" and it was excellent

Tomorrow works better for me.
I thought about going today, but I can't make it work. Honestly, the schedule change is a relief.
Hopefully, it won't be too crowded.😁
Nasal spray recommendations? in Health ·
quietharbor2, thanks for the breakdown and the advice on how to "wean off"
Nasal spray recommendations? in Health ·
Kevin White5 said:First off—the woman at the pharmacy is a pharmacist, not a doctor. She isn't qualified to give medical advice regarding side effects or how to manage specific conditions like allergies or viral infections. That’s a job for a physician.

I get that—but they always tell you how to take the medication anyway. She just told me two or three drops a few times a day, for no more than 10 days.

Kevin White5 said:Second—the whole mechanism of nasal drops is that they constrict the blood vessels in the nasal mucosa—since when your nose is running, those vessels are dilated.

So... it depends on which nasal drops you actually bought. If you tell us that, we can tell you what's going on.

Sudafed?

I was struggling with ragweed allergies, so I used drops (Sudafed) for about 15 or 20 days. Everything seemed fine for about 10 days after that, but then I caught a cold during a trip, and now I haven't been able to function without nasal drops (twice a day) for five days straight.

It's a bit worrying—I feel like I'm just stuck in this endless loop.

Scott Allen10's explanation makes sense now—it's likely the epithelium was damaged by the allergy and the constant use of drops, making me susceptible to catching this cold.

😕

Thanks for the input.

👍

What's the next move?😕
Nasal spray recommendations? in Health ·
Can someone explain why using nasal drops for an extended period is actually harmful?

The woman at the pharmacy told me not to go over 10 days.

I get the part about becoming "addicted"—where your nose stays stuffed up unless you use them—but I’m curious about what else long-term use does to you specifically.

Thanks for the input.
