Can someone please explain how this director—someone I actually thought was a genius after watching stuff like Subway, Nikita, Leon, and The Fifth Element—could sink this low by writing things like The Transporter or Taxi? What happened to him after Isabella of Castile? Like, what possessed him to even make a movie about Joan of Arc in the first place?
Banky: [to Alyssa] So, since you're into girls, what—do you just spend all day staring at yourself naked in the mirror?
Jay: Jedi bitch
Hooper: Look at this. You’ve got your typical blonde, blue-eyed, All-American boy Luke Skywalker. Then you’ve got Darth Vader, the most legendary Black man in the galaxy—a total Nubian god!
Banky Edwards: What's a Nubian?
Hooper: Just shut the hell up!

I don't get why they keep churning out remakes of movies that were already massive hits. Why not take a risk on something that actually flopped—something that had a solid story but just didn't land at the box office? At least then the remake wouldn't be constantly compared to a masterpiece... maybe it would actually have a chance.
