Steven Spielberg?!

Can someone please explain how this director—someone I actually thought was a genius after watching stuff like Subway, Nikita, Leon, and The Fifth Element—could sink this low by writing things like The Transporter or Taxi? What happened to him after Isabella of Castile? Like, what possessed him to even make a movie about Joan of Arc in the first place?

Look, I get it—he was a total pushover and everyone was obsessed with Milla Jovovich. But that doesn't excuse anything. She was his muse, so he just tosses her into some pathetic movie... Honestly, I think that's where his career went downhill after that.

What’s wrong with Taxia? Aside from that, I don't think he was even cutting anyone off... personally, I found the movie pretty fun. Honestly, a lot of the jokes just get lost in translation when you move them to American English... Joan of Arc... damn... we all have our weaknesses...
btw, I watched his Atlantis a few years back—pretty sure the original title is Atlantis: Le Creature Del Mare. Anyone know where I could track down a copy?

I honestly find his entire filmography to be stellar, and I’d absolutely count The Transporter among his finest works...
A truly great director proves their worth by showcasing versatility across different genres, rather than just constantly leaning on the same old tropes.

He had already essentially mastered the premise for The Fifth Element by the time he was sixteen.
P.S. He basically just penned the story for Taxi at that point.

Exactly my point about them not sharing the same energy; Steven Spielberg proved his versatility across a massive range of genres...
