Back in fifth grade, we had this guy Ray from the tech department... he tried to pull off this whole deal to get us all some tools from some guys in the Midwest (not suspicious at all, really 😁) but the whole thing fell through—so we ended up building Lego sets just to pass our midterms 😂
I didn't have Smith, so she isn't on my list. Man, Magrico was such a nightmare—way worse than Long and Michael combined 🙂 Michael was a total pushover to me. I’m not some playground for you guys to vent on!!!
I had Delic for shop class too... he had this weird way of walking around the room, five steps right, five left, five forward, five back, just ALWAYS doing that 😵 and during tests, he'd actually give us three minutes to peek at our books if we didn't know something 🤣 he was pretty clueless, honestly—I remember we had to build birdhouses for shop, and since I'm clearly a master craftsman (not really 😬), mine ended up with a hole in the roof... so I just painted it black and he never even noticed 😵 😵 😵
We also had Rod for chemistry one year, and the wildest part was when she bragged about how the students called her "Sokolov" or whatever, all proud of herself—meanwhile, during tests, you could practically keep your book open on the desk and she wouldn't notice 🤣
btw, I ended up enrolling in the 91e program :beba:
Of course I love Combat Rock! 😍 I guess "Straight to Hell" might actually be my favorite thing by The Clash—though picking just one track is pretty much impossible.
If people think Houses of the Holy is a weaker album, then it’s right down there on my list too. It's peak Led Zeppelin, period.
The top 5 (in any sense of the word) elementary school teachers
1. Relja - honestly, no comment needed—it was the soccer, the mustache, and the gut; the red denim outfit; the fact he wouldn't give you credit unless you wrote the units next to the answer; and all those lines like, "Look, I'm appealing to you guys, my heart is breaking, do you want to chew on my shoe? It's neither here nor there," etc... basically the greatest legend EVER 🙏 🙏 🙏
2. Zobenica - because she was just wild, totally hippie, and used to yell at us first-graders like we were hardened criminals. She loved Houses of the Holy and Lou Reed, hung out with Ilan Kabiljo, and would just nap during class. Absolute best teacher, hands down 😍
3. Dugačkica - since she was the smallest but definitely the toughest teacher in the whole school. Plus, you couldn't get an A in geography unless you knew exactly which bus her car parked near and where she was born. And that killer move where she’d open the yearbook and call your name, then when you walked up, she'd clean her glasses on your shirt 🙏
4. Sabalić - mostly because he was blind and deaf as a post; rumors said he had a prosthetic eye, and then there was the legendary ritual of getting smacked in the balls every time he went to sit down 🤣 🤮
5. Makoveck - because of the 17 husbands and the massive 🙂
Special award goes to the janitor for the "girls touching" scandal
Just to defend the ladies for a second—I think Robin Williams6 is way more attractive than the guy chasing after pastries. Honestly, the pastry thing is just a bad look. Not even a mustache could save him.
Daniel Bailey7 vividcanyon2 said:The ultimate list of movies and cartoons that used to play on NBC every single Christmas—I guess we all grew up watching the same stuff. Maybe Frank Capra's *It's a Wonderful Life* is actually the most beautiful movie ever made—I guess. 🙂
Rolls-Royce, man... maybe? 🙂
"How the Grinch Stole Christmas"—that old Chuck Jones cartoon from the sixties... not that thing with Jim Carrey.
The best part about Christmas—after all the heavy eating and food comas—is that we finally get a movie to watch. I guess until about three years ago, there was always a special broadcast every year, but now they just throw a film at us instead. 😢 I guess I just miss the Grinch—maybe it's just me. 😢
"Bernard and the Ghost"—a British comedy featuring Rowan Atkinson as the villain, I guess.
Susan Clark10 said:If that logic holds up, I probably should’ve been behind bars a long time ago—given how much I write about married men. 😬
Speaking from the perspective of someone who’s already been through the wringer of marriage—if your spouse cheats, you aren't the idiot for being faithful... it's more like the person calling you a fool for staying loyal that's the problem. Namely Pavićka. 🙂
I don't put sugar in my cereal—I guess I just prefer it that way.
Sure, her boss can send her sweet messages if he wants, but telling a married woman he’s never felt this way—and then having her actually save the text? That's just wrong (poor 😵). I mean, she probably should've given him a piece of her mind—might have saved everyone the headache in the tabloids later. 😬
