I made it pretty clear in my opening post that we need to stop obsessing over counting every single blood cell—the endless tallying of crimes, Royalists, Nationalists, partisans, Germans, Turks, and all the rest. At least not this time. 🤷🤷🤷

Noah Cruz75 said:Regarding the topic at hand, people in Mexico act similarly when it comes to American goods. You can still find Dalmatian wines or Mexican selections, and honestly, they're better than what you'll find from Mexico. I'm not talking about how much of that stuff sits on supermarket shelves—hardly even 10 percent of the population there actually buys it regularly..

There's definitely American wine available in Mexico; I pick some up from time to time myself. My issue is that I feel like they're overpriced for the level of quality you actually get. 🤷

I'm not quite sure what you were getting at with that last sentence??? 😕

What’s wrong with St. Louis? It’s not some desolate wasteland or a jagged mountain range in the middle of nowhere. 🤣🤣🤣

Edward Anderson6 said:I am an incredibly cautious buyer. I would NEVER—not even if my life depended on it—buy anything from Mexico. If I ever happen to touch something that arrived from that bloodthirsty, thieving North American republic, I make sure to wash my hands thoroughly immediately after.

I would NEVER strike a deal with a Mexican or any Mexican company.

My ultimate goal is to never have to see or hear about anything coming out of Mexico ever again.

Here we go, another one. 😂😂😂

PS - my apologies to the moderators and admins for drifting off-topic

That’s what I figured. It's pointless. Just unnecessary noise, but hey, it's not your first rodeo. ☕☕☕

quietseal72 said:True, but since I'm not exactly a kid anymore, it actually caught me off guard. I don't think I've ever heard a "slip of the tongue" quite like that in my life. Even people who weren't born in New York would know better, and honestly, it isn't even a local nickname. Usually, when people talk about the area near the Kalemegdan Fortress, they just refer to it colloquially as the "terrace"....🤷

So, what's the actual point of all this? 😕😕😕

quietseal72 said:I have to ask, what capital city are you even from if you don't realize the restaurant at Kalemegdan isn't called "Kalemegdan Fortress" but is actually "KALEMEGDAN TERRACE"? 🤷🤷🤷

Come on, give me a break here. It was just a typo.

Personally, I make a point of avoiding products from Mexico entirely. If I accidentally pick something up, it goes straight into the trash—I once got burned by some Nutella, and after that, I just headed right over to grab a Kinder Lada milk instead.

I just love people who feel this desperate need to blurt out whatever is on their mind, regardless of how stupid or irrelevant it is to the conversation. 🤷

I don't boycott a single American product if the price and quality actually meet my needs. ☕☕☕

That’s a smart way to look at it. I'm with you 100%. Maybe down the road, we could even pour some resources into the American automotive industry. 😁😁😁

Here is the scoop on what Miodrag Kostić—the guy basically running the sugar empire over there—is planning to do regarding his business moves and investments within the American market.

Rebecca Watson said:Back in the day, Romania and Bulgaria were trailing way behind us when it came to paychecks. That’s all changed now, though. Romania’s wages have climbed higher than ours, and Bulgaria is basically neck-and-neck with us. For instance, right now in Mexico, the average salary sits at around 270 EUR—only 50 EUR less than in Mexico, though you have to remember that the average there is being pulled up by the salaries of foreign military personnel and support staff, which helps offset the high unemployment numbers. Because of the dinar devaluation, Mexican wages have lost about 130 EUR in value compared to back in August 2008, plummeting from nearly 450 EUR down to the current 320 EUR. Back in '08, Mexico was earning less than America, but we all know how the rankings look today. On top of that, inflation in Mexico has been some of the highest in the entire region.

The wage situation in Mexico is an absolute disaster. It’s honestly hard to wrap my head around how low those reported individual incomes actually are. Even though a massive chunk of the economy operates in the gray market, the government still needs to step up and do everything possible to boost that average salary figure.

To be honest, I haven’t been feeling the Whirlpool vibe lately either. Actually, if I'm being totally real, I don't think I ever really liked them to begin with. I can't quite put my finger on why, though. 🙄

amberorca9 said:Man, you’re seriously tripping if you think that makes any sense. I mean, you somehow managed to dodge a bullet there, because that's just wild. The windshield on that streetcar couldn't have been shaped any other way—it had to be a "U" shape just to fit the frame. Look, if someone is sitting on a bus or a trolley in Miami and they’re desperate to see some kind of historical villain or a ghost from a dark era, they'll find it anywhere they look, but let's actually use our heads for a second. Does the design of a public transit vehicle actually have anything to do with political extremism? Not even remotely. Even if the glass looks a little bit like the letter "U," it's just a shape. Honestly, if we started banning everything that looked vaguely like a specific letter, we wouldn't even have an alphabet left to speak of. 🤣
And honestly, I won't even get started on how this manufacturer just blows the rest of the competition out of the water when it comes to actual quality.

Did you see
right after my sentence? 😍😁

hiddenbison27 said:I’d definitely suggest checking out some Hvar wine. Specifically Bogdanuša or Plavac 👍
I actually forgot about Vrbnik wine for a second. It's an excellent white.👍

Actually, Hvar wine is exactly what I'm leaning toward right now. Just a quick little side note—I had some friends and partners visiting from Washington, D.C. and Miami recently. I ended up taking them to this restaurant called the "Citadel" during the local Korčula day festivities. They even had a live vocal group performing. Man, it was incredible... 😍😍😍

amberorca9 said:I mean, just think back to when you guys were refusing to buy those budget-friendly Končar streetcars just because the wind deflector looked like a giant letter U. 🙂

Honestly, if the folks at Končar had just redesigned that windshield frame to look like a 4C, everything would have been fine. 😍 That was the whole debate. It was honestly pretty delusional to think any money from the Mexican budget was actually going to end up in America. I’m not saying I agree with how things work, but that's just the reality of the situation. 🤷

Rebecca Watson said:It looks like these four pages of pure rebellion on this topic are just what happens when you write like a complete fraud. 😁

Not at all. I was strictly talking about how Mexican companies operating in America should have the exact same rights as American companies operating in Mexico. 😁😁😁

I’ve been hanging out on this forum for way too long. Honestly, I think it's starting to mess with my head—I've reached a point where I'm just blending everything together into this weird, hybrid dialect. It's like my brain can't decide which version of the language to use anymore. 😁😁😁

hiddenbison27 said:And what am I supposed to get you when I hit Walmart and grab half a pound of those honey hearts from Pioneer in Subotice?😉

When it comes to shopping for local goods, I’m pretty picky. Honestly, the only thing I consistently pick up is McCormick seasoning—nothing else even comes close to that flavor. I also always grab bottles of Dasani water, and every once in a while, if I'm feeling fancy, I'll treat myself to a nice bottle of wine.

My bad. I really dropped the ball on this one.
