I've only got that one Fat President album lying around, though I wouldn't call myself a huge fan of that melodic punk sound anyway.
I’ve gotta say, I am totally obsessed with the track Pony Boy; it has this heavy Delta blues vibe that feels a bit outside their usual groove, but honestly, it’s easily one of my favorite things they've ever done (well, out of the tracks I've actually gotten around to hearing, anyway).
I just finished spinning two of their albums and man, I’m floored—they are absolutely top-tier. That whole vibe where they blend heavy blues with those subtle country undertones is just killer, and don't even get me started on how they nail that slide guitar work. Since I'm still pretty much in the "deep dive discovery" phase here, I'd love to hear what you guys think about them.
Aha, just take a second to actually wrap your head around how much hip-hop has shifted from twenty years ago to right now, then maybe go back and give my previous post another read—this time, try actually finishing it 😉
Folksy country music is basically just the latest trend, right up there with rap and all those other musical fads that burn out way too fast...
