The start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (Part 1) in War in Ukraine ·
Laura Scott7 said:Man, this is just the tip of the iceberg; they’ve only been doing recon for like two days now https://www.reddit.com/r/CombatFoota...he_tos1_heavy/
And if you haven't got a clue what kind of hardware we're actually looking at here, check this out

If this turns out to be true, then this guy is planning to pull the exact same stunt in Kyiv that he did in Grozny.

They’re probably busy debating if they should send another 500 helmets.

Yeah, right. And people call them the backbone of the European Union.

The guy’s been leading one of the three biggest powers on the planet for 22 years, but hey, you forum experts clearly know way more than he does.

Russia’s been under sanctions for years now. They’re completely self-sufficient in every sense of the word. Period.

Honestly? The world needs Russia, not Russia needing the world.

Yeah? And?

You really think that would do anything to Russia?

Infrastructure-wise? Russia has everything built with total redundancy. They've got backups for their backups. Always.

Oh, so you actually know what Swift is then?

If they get kicked out, it means those foreign exchange reserves—at least the part Russia holds in dollars and euros—become useless, plus banks won't be able to trade internationally... and so on.

He’s bound to be absolutely livid about it.
The sanctions are hitting hard, the oil taps are being shut off, and yet—against all the "expert" predictions—the Ukrainians still haven't surrendered. How long was that supposed to take again? 96 hours?
And considering the Russian Army hasn't even made a serious dent anywhere outside of Kyiv...
it's clear that Ukraine is much more than just its capital.
I'm hearing reports that Ukrainians have seized a hydroelectric plant and that Western weaponry is already flowing in.
There's really no telling how long the Ukrainian people can hold out against this madman's onslaught.
May God watch over them.

I mean, I'd probably say the Americans intentionally leaked disinformation about Kyiv falling in 72 or 96 hours just to bait Putin 😁

I mean, I guess France and Italy are totally fine with kicking Russia out of SWIFT, if you ask me.

I honestly think this could escalate way further than any of us realize

Rachel Allen55 can't even point to Ukraine on a map, let alone list a single city down south

Whoa, okay, didn't see that one coming.

I wonder if they'll end up on the list for "denazification" too?

Why not just send 200 Leopard 2 tanks and be done with it?

The axis of evil back in World War II was Nazi Germany and fascist Italy...

Fast forward to 2022, and now Germany and Italy are refusing to kick Russia out of SWIFT.

Man... 🧐I don't even know.

By the way, what's the current situation over in Ukraine?

Knowing a few Ukrainians, I’d say the more accurate version of the story is that Ukraine was just with that first guy out of pure necessity, mostly because there wasn't anyone else around. Plus, back when she was young and still finding her footing, he showed these aggressive streaks that really scared her, so she probably felt like she couldn't say no. But honestly, as soon as some other guy came along, she finally started feeling free enough to move on.

I honestly don't get why, say, the EU countries haven't just agreed to offer asylum to any Russian soldiers who decide to lay down their arms.

Maybe even give all the commanders who do it some real estate somewhere...

Money's moving, I guess.

I just don't understand why I can't seem to meet someone for something serious. I don't even have a psychiatric diagnosis; my neurological condition is in full remission and has completely receded. I'm attractive, financially stable, mentally resilient, and highly educated—yet I keep running into idiots. It feels like despite everything, I’m destined to be alone, unable to find anyone so I won't be lonely and can actually start a family one day.

Just show up to some US-based meetups, maybe a hiking group or a local social gathering, and you'll expand your circle pretty fast. Then, eventually, you might actually find someone.

With all the fake news flying around regarding the pandemic, he’s actually one of the better sources out there

It's probably everywhere by now... I mean, if the standard PCR tests haven't been catching it, then it's likely already spread through the whole country.

I don't care what kind of side hustles the hotel owners or airline execs are running... if someone tried to talk me into a trip to Africa—and I don't even care about whatever new trend is popping up—I wouldn't go. I just know I’d end up stranded somewhere.

I honestly find it mind-blowing how people are just out here booking international flights like nothing happened. Look, I get it, they’ve had their shots, but seriously? Just chill on the travel frenzy for a year or so. You’ll have plenty of time to make up for lost trips later...
Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
Christian Torres3 said:Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is part of the opposition, isn't she?

And what about these supposed "heavyweights" of the opposition? Griffin? The folks from the Green Party? The group out of Boise?

I mean, if a party holds more than 20% of the seats in Congress but stays dead silent when someone like Elon Musk does something crazy, they don't even deserve to be there...
But sure, let them talk about migrants, minorities, and those rainbow-colored family picture books instead...
Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
Kenneth Perez15 said:Everything she said is spot on. The only catch is that nobody actually gives a damn.

And honestly? No court ruling is ever going to change that reality. Not even massive trials, huge scandals, cabinet shakeups, or the way the headquarters bends every single policy to suit whoever happens to be in power.

It helps when the opposition is basically useless. I mean, look—Musk is pulling in massive amounts of cash and getting extensions on deadlines he already blew through, and the opposition does... nothing. They're too busy fighting amongst themselves, reorganizing their committees for the tenth time, or obsessing over some ideological nonsense that nobody cares about.

The Republican Party is only this terrible because they just give the people exactly what they want, and honestly, who cares how they do it?
Did we get streamlined travel agreements with the USA? Yeah...
Did we get that major infrastructure project approved? Yeah.
Are we joining the global trade zone? Yes.

That's what people want—just give them a better future instead of all this fighting over minority rights...
And the leftists, excuse my French, are so clueless that if you actually told them to focus on important stuff—like stop pushing for migrant rights or LGBT agendas (I'm talking about actual interests here, not the rights they truly deserve)—they'd probably reject it with a sneer.

That's why rulings like this just pass through without much of a fuss...
