As far as the standard James Bond stuff goes—I couldn't care less. I've never been much of a fan of 007 anyway.

Regarding that Orlando Bloom movie about a young James Bond, though, I'm definitely checking that out. It'll be nice to finally see an action lead who isn't just playing it safe...😛

Dirty Dancing... even though I was just a baby when it hit theaters, that movie totally captivated me the first time I saw it at about 12 years old.

Now it’s easily one of my all-time favorites (alongside Grease, obviously).

I know every single song from both movies by heart—obviously!—and every time they come on, I still get goosebumps...

Even though he belongs to that older generation of actors, I honestly prefer him over all these supposed "rising stars" we see today.

On that point, I completely agree. They don't act thirteen, nor do they look the part. Take the lead actress at the start of the film: okay, she passes. The nerd, the mommy's girl, the age-appropriate clothing.....

But then you have the typical "wild girl" in school who’s already deep into alcohol and drugs, dressing like a total provocateur (no offense to anyone who dresses like that).... Honestly, even fifteen would be too young. Seventeen would be just right....

It’s a fair question. I was thinking about my old classmates and friends, but honestly, my boyfriend would probably react the exact same way—he hasn't even seen the movie yet.

How could I not? All my friends are basically counting down the minutes until the scenes where those two finally "get to it." I assume it’s the same for pretty much every other guy out there... 😉

The movie is great.

Why do you think the beginning is stupid? That's actually what gives the whole film its purpose. It shows how a girl falls in with the wrong crowd and slowly spirals into addiction and ruin. I personally know a girl who went through the exact same thing. The film is completely realistic. There’s no sugarcoating, and that’s honestly the best part about it.

Has anyone seen the movie "Thirteen"? I just watched it recently and I was absolutely blown away!!

I went in totally blind with zero expectations. A friend lent it to me just to kill some time. And then... wow. Honestly, one of the best films I've ever seen.
Just a heads up: I wouldn't recommend this for kids under 10.
