I live out in the woods. It’s a tiny little town where all the surrounding roads are basically just gravel and dirt tracks. Because of that, there’s really no point in buying a dedicated road bike. I can manage on what I have since my current setup is built for forest trails, and I'm used to the terrain. This one has rear suspension, which makes it a bit more of a handful to handle sometimes, but I’ve taken it everywhere, so it shouldn't be an issue.
This Avalanche doesn't have disc brakes because I prefer to steer clear of them; standard rim brakes work just fine for me. It cost $1333, and the components will eventually need .

I’ve been riding this thing for about seven years now and it hasn't given me any trouble. Aside from a few other riders crashing into the gears and bending them—which caused some wonky shifting—it's been solid.
My tent weighs about 11 pounds, and I’m planning to set up right by the ocean. I can get it pitched in total darkness without breaking a sweat🙂—I've done it plenty of times, so I know my way around the gear. I don’t have any issues breathing through my mouth or any throat problems, but it’s incredibly frustrating that I can't breathe through my nose. It feels like my nose is constantly running straight down the back of my throat, which triggers this nonstop coughing because of all that congestion settling in.
I’ve recently taken up hiking, and I know how vital it is to breathe through your nose so the air gets filtered and warmed before it hits your lungs. The problem is, my nose is giving me constant trouble. When it gets congested, trying to inhale through my nostrils is painful—it actually stings—and even then, I can't seem to get enough air in. On top of that, one side of my nose always feels blocked, almost like my sinuses are perpetually swollen, though I couldn't say for sure. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this?
I wasn't quite sure how to title this, but I’m dealing with some discomfort in a vein on my right arm. It’s painful, and the area feels strangely lumpy and hard to the touch. About two weeks ago, I had an IV catheter inserted in that exact spot—you know, the plastic tubing with the valves😬! It’s been tender to the touch for about three or four days now. I’m 6'3", and I just had surgery for a pilonidal sinus. Honestly, I’m feeling great today, though sitting for long stretches is still a bit of a struggle. I’ve been getting out for walks in the woods and keeping up with chores around the house—everything feels pretty much back to normal! The stitches came out after eight days, and it didn't hurt a bit. I’ll try to track down the recipe for a specific cream that several people I know have found helpful after surgery, as soon as I can get my mom to give me the details!
I was thinking about how every single time I sit down to browse and launch Mozilla, I get hit with this pop-up trying to find me a soulmate first :kill :kill, and only then does the actual program load. Everything is running painfully slow and it’s driving me crazy, but honestly, I just don't have the heart to wipe Windows and start fresh because my computer is already packed with so much stuff.
