Knee injuries and sports in Health ·
So, why are you even waiting? You should probably just head to the doctor already. I mean, honestly, without an MRI, I don't think you or your physician are going to get any real answers. Once you get that sorted, you can deal with whatever else needs doing. Recovery periods tend to be pretty long, so maybe prepare yourself for that and just hope for the best. My knees used to act up too, though I'm not exactly an athlete or anything, and then I'd go play some casual pickup soccer, make one wrong move, and—boom—torn ligament. Anyway, I'm currently exactly three weeks out from my own surgery.☕

If anyone is out there claiming they’re just some mediocre pop band, I really think they should sit down and listen to >, >, >! I wrote that third one in all caps because, honestly, I’d be pretty bold to say it isn't just their best work—it might actually be the greatest hard rock album ever released. They’ve put out quite a few DVDs too, so you can easily find them on YouTube, like >! I actually caught them live three different times after they reunited, and I honestly don't have the words to describe those shows. It was just pure energy—real hard/heavy stuff with those nice little blues undertones. About a year ago, I was out in Vienna during the > tour, and I guess those memories are still playing like a movie in my head!

Oh, and hey, is anyone planning on heading to Vienna for the concert!? Or maybe even making a trip out to Italy!?

They aren't nearly famous enough here in the States, I guess. People just suffocate them with The Final countdown, since everyone associates them with nothing else! Personally, they're my favorite band. They actually released four albums after their reunion—start fra The dark, Secret society, Last look AT Eden i Bag of Bones—and they're currently touring Europe for the latter! I'm seeing them in Vienna on October 23rd. I already grabbed my tickets, and man, they weren't cheap—about $45—but for a band like this, it’s worth every last cent. You just don't see stuff like this very often. It doesn't really fit that 80s vibe or style at all. This is modern Hard rock with some blues influences, and I'd even go so far as to say they feel like a completely different band; honestly, I like this version better than the old one. The reviews are great, the critics love them, and the fact that they're still relatively unknown in America says a lot about American tastes! I suppose we just prefer our country music!
Nescafé or Turkish coffee? in Miscellaneous ·
It feels like we’ve all turned into robots lately, just rushing through life to get everything over with... Honestly, I think I prefer the aroma of freshly brewed coffee more than the drink itself! You just can't replicate that scent with some instant Nescafe or whatever else is sitting on the shelf. There was this one time my wife actually tried to switch me over to Nescafe, but (forgive me if I say this), I had to deal with a bit of a situation at work first—turns out there was a major issue with the restroom facilities!🙈
Nescafé or Turkish coffee? in Miscellaneous ·
I don't think filtered coffee can ever quite measure up to a good cup of Turkish Coffee. To me, it just doesn't have that same richness; it feels more like a Nescafe than actual coffee!🤷

Honestly, there’s really only one kind of coffee worth drinking, and that’s Turkish Coffee. Everything else just feels a bit off to me!☕
😠I was hoping for something a bit more digestible, honestly. I’ve come across these exact same terms and passages while browsing the web myself. I really do appreciate the effort, though—it’s just that this feels a little too much like a copy/paste job!
Does anyone happen to know anything about this rare skin condition? It’s honestly pretty tough to find decent info online that isn't buried under medical jargon, especially when you're looking for clear explanations in plain English. So, if anyone here has any insight or even just a little bit of knowledge to share, I’d really appreciate it! Thanks so much!🤷
hollowdrifter11 said:Hey, Pearl Jam isn't exactly the kind of straight-up rock you're hunting for; they're grunge, pretty much the quintessential sound of that Seattle grunge scene.
If you're looking for a solid rock band, maybe check out Gotthard.

I completely agree!

Is Jurica Pađen an artist? in Music ·
In my opinion, they’re definitely more talented than a lot of those "artists" currently making waves on the American music scene... like Rundeka, for instance.
Those shows were seriously intense! I guess I’m just dreaming of seeing my holy trinity live in New York City: Megadeth, Europe, and King Diamond!
So, I’ve been dealing with some nagging abdominal pains lately, which led my doctor to order some blood work and liver function tests. My enzyme and bilirubin levels were a bit high, so I went ahead and checked for hepatitis markers, mono, allergies, and all that good stuff... Everything came back negative, thankfully. Then I had an ultrasound, and that’s when things got interesting. It turns out I have a fatty liver, but they also spotted some nephroangiosclerotic changes in my kidneys. Honestly, seeing that at just 27 feels pretty unusual. Neither my primary physician nor the specialist seemed thrilled about the news, though nobody has pointed me toward specific follow-up testing yet. I guess I’m spiraling a little bit here—how serious is this really? Is there a way to fix it, or should I be genuinely worried? I’ve already been on a strict diet for a week to help my liver, and I’m definitely committed to a total lifestyle overhaul from here on out. It’s one of those situations where you don't realize how important health is until life gives you a bit of a wake-up call, I suppose!😕
High AST and ALT levels: What should I do? in Health ·
Thanks for the advice! I try to keep myself busy and stay occupied, but then that pain just flares right back up, which is honestly pretty lousy. My blood work and urine tests all came back totally normal, though! I’m headed in tomorrow to get those specific markers checked out, and then I'll see what my doctor says. Hopefully, it isn't anything too worrisome!
High AST and ALT levels: What should I do? in Health ·
Well, I wouldn't say it happens all the time. I might have a beer every now and then, but I definitely wouldn't call that excessive!
High AST and ALT levels: What should I do? in Health ·
So, I’ve been dealing with this weird discomfort in my abdomen for about ten days now. It isn't exactly a sharp pain, more just a nagging, uneasy feeling mostly on my left side, right under the ribs. To make matters worse, my left kidney was absolutely killing me yesterday. I actually went in to get some blood and urine work done today, and everything came back looking pretty normal, except for a few things. My bilirubin is sitting at 31.6, and my AST and ALT enzymes are at 40 and 108, respectively. I have to head back tomorrow for hepatitis screening markers. Honestly, I'm already a bit of a nervous wreck and can't wait for those results to come in. I guess I was wondering if anyone else here has dealt with anything similar? Does this left-sided pain have any connection to the liver, and how worrying should I be about these specific numbers? Thanks so much in advance!🤷
