Should R. Čačić just step down from politics already? in Close to Politics ·
bluerider63 said:Of course he’s calculating his moves; anyone in his shoes would be doing the exact same thing. After seeing all this vitriol thrown at Kennedy, I’m just waiting for someone to start screaming about how he should have just walked straight into a cell and asked for a ten-year stretch.
Nobody actually wants to sit behind bars, and everyone fights for the lightest sentence possible; honestly, with the amount of hate being spewed, it wouldn't surprise me if someone started complaining that he didn't even hire a high-priced lawyer to defend him.

Still, there's enough humanity left in him that I doubt he'll be making a run for Canada like some ☕
coward.

No, he isn't going to run to Canada.

It's not quite right to say everyone would be "calculating"... I assume what you mean is that everyone would likely hope for a lighter sentence. If you know you're facing three to eight years, anyone would hope for three or four rather than the full eight.
But I don't believe everyone would calculate this way, or even timidly suggest that he's actually quite good at what he does—in politics, that is, not driving. Perhaps the penalty could involve community service... since he knows where his true talents lie. Personally, I feel for him. It's a massive tragedy, and honestly, any driver could face something similar. A terrible accident. But make no mistake, he should have resigned from his leadership position in the Republican Party. He could have stayed involved and contributed through his expertise and work...

He kills two people and then actually hopes his "punishment" will just let him keep doing exactly what he’s been doing. Might as well have said his dream sentence would be picking up seashells on some exotic beach in the Caribbean or the Bahamas.
It’s pure hypocrisy, plain old rudeness, arrogance, and ego... honestly, the guy is just trash.☕

Actually, yes. As much as it was obvious he was shaken up (there were even ticks he hadn't shown before, and it was clear he was experiencing painful flashbacks during the conversation)—underneath all that, that arrogance and selfishness still bled through. An ego like that doesn't just change overnight...

He could have stayed on as a volunteer within the party, but he really should have stepped down from the chairmanship. No matter how shaken he looks—and it’s obvious he is—he’s already running the numbers, especially regarding that bit about "community service" ("the verdict could even be community service, and I don't know how to do anything better than this").

Stepping away from USTA seems foolish and frankly ridiculous when you consider he’s staying firmly in control of the party and still trying to convince people that it's perfectly fine.
Looks like a pretty standard fungal infection, Michelle Bailey30.

Go see your GP or a dermatologist; they'll prescribe an ointment so it doesn't spread or get any worse.

And always make sure you dry your skin thoroughly with a towel after washing.

I'll misplace things constantly, walk into a CVS, forget the exact name of the medication I need, and just grab something else to avoid looking foolish. And don't even get me started on names. I work with people, and when my doctor tells me not to worry about it, I still find it deeply concerning...

Exactly. Stress or burnout does this. Or you're just preoccupied—your mind is somewhere else entirely because you're worried about something else... it makes you scattered.
