@Laura Ramirez61/">@@Laura Ramirez61, I totally get where you're coming from, but maybe try not to be too hard on her? It’s not like she’s doing this on purpose. Honestly, she probably has one more thing to worry about knowing that her anxiety might have caused you all to drift away from her lately. When she tells you she can't come over, could it just be that she doesn't want to weigh you down? I'm not quite sure what the best move is here, but what if you asked her to take some time to think about what might actually help her? Then, you could try to make that happen—even if it means putting your own needs on the back burner for a bit. If it truly helps her feel better, wouldn't that be worth it in the end?

Is ReNu actually dangerous for your eyes?
in Health ·
I caught a segment on ABC tonight. Apparently, they’re claiming our ReNu isn't actually linked to the American version since it's manufactured over in Italy. Does it really matter though? At the end of the day, I'm sticking with the Complete formula regardless.
Allergies to cat and dog hair
in Health ·
Andrew Wells44 said:A few years back, I had a cat. After a while, I started dealing with stuff like a runny nose, coughing, and trouble breathing. Standard allergy tests and blood work to see if I was actually allergic came back negative. Once my cat passed away—she jumped out a window—everything settled down.
About 2-3 months ago, I adopted two adorable kittens from a local shelter. Everything was fine at first, but lately, it's the same old story. Itchy nose, itchy eyes, but the worst part is that for the last few days, I haven't been able to breathe properly when I wake up in the morning. It feels like asthma or bronchitis. After I finish coughing (which sometimes takes up to 45 minutes!), my breathing gets easier and levels out. Then, the next morning, it starts all over again. Right now, I'm taking Zyrtec, but it isn't helping much.
I really don't want to get rid of the kittens because they bring me so much joy and happiness, but on the other hand, how can I live like this?
Is there any way to deal with this allergy without having to give up my cats?😢
If anyone knows anything about this—literally anything—I would be so grateful for an answer. I am open to homeopathy or any other alternative remedies.
Thanks.🙂
I'm not quite sure why those tests came back negative, because everything points to you definitely being allergic to cats.
The same thing happened to me, but it wasn't with regular cats, just specifically with Persian cats (the fluffier ones). One time I stayed with some relatives who had a Persian, and I immediately developed symptoms of severe bronchitis, especially in the mornings and evenings; I’d be coughing until I practically threw up. Honestly, I felt like I couldn't catch my breath the whole time. My mom immediately suspected it was the cat, but I didn't think so since I hadn't had those kinds of symptoms with "normal" cats before. When I got home, all the symptoms vanished, and I remained
convinced that I had just caught a bad case of bronchitis. A few years later, I went to visit a friend whose sister had just bought a Persian cat. As soon as I walked through the door, I started choking and sneezing uncontrollably, so there was no more doubt. Once the cat was taken out of the house and I took some Zyrtec, everything stopped.
I read recently that we aren't actually allergic to cat hair, but rather to their saliva. Since they groom themselves, the saliva stays on the fur, and those particles end up in the air we breathe.
Zyrtec works okay for me, but a friend of mine uses a natural nasal spray that helps her. It basically creates a barrier in the nose against allergens. Still, though, I honestly think it might be best for you to find these kittens a new home.
Daniel Craig is just way too intense. When I saw him on the news being picked, my mom, my sister, my best friend, and I were all totally caught off guard.
I’m not even sure about his acting style, but for this role? It feels like total overkill. They aren't exactly looking for an Oscar-caliber performance here; they want someone who looks like women would be tripping over themselves just to get his attention. Instead, he looks like someone you'd actually want to run away from... he's got this almost monstrous vibe that just doesn't work for me. He looks far too rugged. A guy can definitely be a macho man and still be handsome—just look at Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan, they nailed that balance perfectly.
The actor Višnjić really has that classic James Bond look, it's just a shame about the accent...

Dealing with depression?
in Health ·
It’s been a long time since I’ve run into someone so narrow-minded and genuinely unkind. It’s obvious you just don't get it—and honestly, nobody ever truly does except the person living through it—but seeing this kind of judgment makes me feel like🙂 🙂 🙂.
I know a girl struggling with depression, and I used to wonder why she didn't want to travel or go out and do things (not that I was judging her or thinking she was trash), until I experienced it firsthand. And let me tell you, you can't describe THAT feeling with words; terms like "sadness" or "suffering" are way too weak to capture it. Like someone else mentioned earlier, even though I’m quite bright, I haven't had the strength to finish my degree at State University. And there is absolutely zero connection to being lazy. As for physical symptoms, depression shows up in the body in huge ways—lethargy, insomnia, terrible digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, hair loss, sudden weight changes, heart palpitations... I’d love to see you try digging trenches in a ditch while feeling like this.
"If hell exists on earth, you will find it in the heart of a melancholic soul"—I can't recall the author, but it’s the perfect description.
And by your logic, plenty of legendary figures would be considered "human garbage," like Michelangelo, Honoré de Balzac, Émile Zola, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, or even Abraham Lincoln. But then again, you're probably such a caveman you've never even heard of them...
Moderators, if this guy doesn't deserve a ban, I don't know who does!
