So I grabbed this web rip off a torrent, but the whole thing was only 66 minutes long before the credits just rolled out of nowhere. I checked some other versions and they're listed at 70 minutes, which probably includes the credits, but then I look online and everyone says the runtime is actually 86 minutes... I guess I'm just totally lost, but there's no way I'd drop cash on a movie theater ticket for a 66-minute flick, that would be such a disaster.
So I went ahead and installed Windows 7 on my six-year-old PC yesterday, but honestly, maybe I shouldn't have... it's just not running great on 512MB of RAM, it feels pretty sluggish and keeps freezing up on me... kind of a nightmare, really... and I was actually looking forward to it too, haha
I was honestly dying for the DVD rip and subtitles to drop, so I finally sat down and binged Paranormal Activity 4 tonight... And honestly, I couldn't care less about all those comments from people saying the movie totally sucks.. After reading so much hate online about this one, it didn't really feel that bad to me at all.. So, basically, that crazy girl who was killing everyone in the second movie moved away, and after she probably ended up in some hospital, her neighbors are watching her son, and that's when the weird stuff starts happening... first to the oldest daughter and then to the parents... I guess my only gripes are that it's a bit short, the scares aren't quite as intense as they were in the third one, and the ending feels kind of unfinished—sort of similar to how the third one wrapped up, where you're just left wondering what happened to everyone... but hey, maybe once the unrated DVD rip comes out there will be some extra footage or something..., though I am pretty curious to see where they take it in the fifth one.
Ronald Anderson37 said:I guess the first one is my favorite just because it felt so original, though the second one was pretty great since it really built on what came before it. The third was just okay, I suppose... and honestly, the bad reviews for the fourth one aren't really surprising...
Personally, I think the first movie is just decent, nothing too crazy... after that, I went to see the third one in theaters and brought a friend along, telling her that even though it’s a horror flick, it's more of a laugh than anything scary... but, man, she ended up totally freaking out and screaming the whole time in the theater, which actually kind of surprised me because the third one was actually pretty good. After that, I watched the second one and I thought it was better and way more intense than the first... now I'm just waiting for some decent quality version of the fourth one to drop online so I can finally check it out, unless I happen to catch it in a theater or something.
The first one was great, but I honestly think the sequel is even better... it feels a bit more grounded, though I still found myself cracking up the whole time, haha. Bean is just classic Bean, he never misses, and man, I really hope we get a third one eventually.
