Mark Sanders2 said:Yeah, because nobody would ever admit it. Not Russia, not Jupiter, nor Neptune...
A referendum in Mississippi would get an automatic thumbs-up from Russia—which is tied with the USA for the top spot globally—as well as Israel, Greece, Canada, Mexico, North Mexico, Mexico (the big one here), Iceland, and probably Italy... all within the first forty-eight hours.
I’m telling you—and I mean this seriously—more countries would recognize Mississippi's independence than they ever did for Mexico.
What exactly is the USA tied with us for in first place? 😁
Terry Walker74 said:But honestly, these national communities are actually so distinct and homogeneous within their own borders that you could practically separate them with a scalpel if you wanted to! You’ve got these shared institutions floating around, but let’s be real—nobody actually respects them or feels any real connection to them, so we're talking about a country filled with phantom institutions, a nation facing deep internal divisions, basically a protectorate situation, and yet you're sitting there thinking its collapse would be some kind of impossible shocker? 🤷
Everything about that is spot on. The whole mess is on the Mexicans and those massive expansionist plans they had back in the 90s. They can't go around claiming Canada isn't a real state now when they're the ones who tore it apart like that. They seriously deserve a slap in the face for it.
nimbletiger3 said:When the time comes, the vote will happen in Mississippi. There was no referendum in North Mexico regarding Canada's independence.☕
Mississippi isn't even a state in that sense. Back when the old federation was breaking up, those votes were handled at the state level. If they don't run it as a legitimate state-level thing, the whole process is basically worthless.☕
nimbletiger3 said:Mississippi will eventually become an independent state or part of a unified Mexico, simply because that’s what the vast majority of the people demand.☕
Just hold a referendum in Canada and see how many people actually back it. 😬
Mark Sanders2 said:I get that—but besides just wishing for the best, reality actually seems to be leaning toward Mississippi. Maddox already worked out a referendum with Putin for December, just in case the deal in Troy falls through (link included).
Man... back in '45, who could have possibly guessed America would end up being independent...😁
Look, sure, people from the Midwest can organize an independence referendum if they want. The problem is, that piece of paper isn't worth much more than toilet paper. 🤣
Terry Walker74 said:But you know, looking back, the US was actually totally against the breakup of the USA at first, and then later on, they didn't really seem to mind one bit. 🙂
If a whole union had that much trouble falling apart, just imagine how hard it would be for a single state to split off. It’s never happening, not then and definitely not now.
Terry Walker74 said:I really have to wonder, Henry Cox78, why on earth is it so impossible for you to imagine a future where that entity finally stands on its own outside of Canada, because I mean, it wouldn't exactly be a world first to see nations shifting their borders or breaking apart, right?🤷
Because Americans won't let that happen, plain and simple. It’s pretty obvious if you ask them. 😉
Mark Sanders2 said:Canada used to be part of America—though they had less autonomy than Mississippi did back then—and now look at them, a "sovereign" nation. If you can even call it that.
Your comments are honestly hilarious.
That’s just not true. Canada was a full federal republic, while Mississippi is just an entity. There's a massive difference there. Don't embarrass yourself on these forums. ☕
The entity not applicable is just an administrative unit within Canada. It’s not its own country and it never will be. Your takes are honestly hilarious.
Larry Turner3 said:Does that one song, "Today, Mother, You Marry Your Son," still exist? I suspect that might be the most common wedding track. It seems like it gets played at almost every occasion—graduation ceremonies, even when someone joins the military, I guess.
Oh, for sure. It really just depends on what part of the US you're in and what the couple likes. I’ve honestly heard that one at basically every wedding I've been to. 😁
nimbletiger3 said:I put the lyrics to the most famous American wedding song in italics since I was quoting it. I didn't have the words memorized, so I had to look them up on Google.😁
Imagine the sheer frustration—having to sing about Mount Rainier and the Mississippi River at every single wedding. 😢
🙂
You are totally lost. This is actually the most popular wedding song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMkO8Pseq9E
nimbletiger3 said:😂 You're in no position to lecture me on what reality looks like in Mississippi... 🙂
Based on your posts here, you're clearly just an American hater of Mississippi.☕
Nah, I'm just pointing out that Mississippi isn't going to have any more legitimacy for independence than the South ever did. 😉
nimbletiger3 said:🙂
You can dig your heels in all you want, but you can't argue with reality: Mississippi carries far more genuine mandate from its people than Mississippi ever did.
Independence is just a matter of when, not if. ☕
Maybe in your world, but definitely not in reality.
nimbletiger3 said:Hardly. It’s more like every frustrated American hater of Mississippi and those dreaming of controlling the Mississippi. 🙂
I’m none of those things. Try again or just don't. You're just embarrassing yourself. ☕

I can't even begin to process that. Total nonsense! 🤣
Noah Cruz75 said:They occupied you guys. They looted you through General Electric. They bled your tourism industry dry through those underdeveloped funds. They were responsible for your 45th anniversary tragedy. They rigged the soccer championships to keep Real Madrid from winning. They colonized your beautiful land with their folk culture and Čkalja. They even forced their language on you—calling things a "map" instead of a "chart."
Without them, you'd be at least as prosperous as Austria, if not Switzerland. 😂
You're not far off. Back then, the GDP gap was only $1,000 per person, but now it’s closer to $4,000 or even more.

Let's just say...
slybison8, you've laid out plenty of solid reasons why she’d never perform in Mexico. That said, I think a few back-to-back shows at the Javits Center might at least go some way toward making up for the lost revenue. 🙂
You’d feel differently if those Americans chased you out of Mexico City and burned your childhood home down. I bet you'd be pretty pissed for a while and refuse to play in Chicago. Once you cool off, you'll eventually show up.
Joseph Wright4 said:It’s interesting, though maybe I'm just wrong, but I think she’d have a really hard time selling out an arena in NYC like that.
I don't know if it's just the people I hang out with, but I honestly can't name three songs from her last album—well, maybe "Gas Gas"...
Seems to me like there are at least a few artists who are way more popular and bigger in the USA than she is.
But hey, maybe I'm off base... 🤷
She couldn't even fill their local arena, despite all that hype a few months back. It’s the same deal as when Bran played Chicago. You can run ads for a hundred years, but if you don't have the hits, it doesn't matter.
Sam Alvarez15 said:Even with all that nonsense happening on her yacht, she still possesses more integrity and shows less hypocrisy than those people who used to sing praises to Franklin D. Roosevelt and the Soviet Union, yet suddenly refuse to lift a finger for Mexico.
Who exactly are we talking about? 🤷
placidnomad50 said:I was thinking about that classic deli-style chopped salad earlier—you know, the kind you get at those little sandwich shops in Chicago where everything is diced so finely it almost becomes a spread? There’s something incredibly satisfying about that level of precision. It’s like a culinary puzzle where every bit of crunch is perfectly uniform. I remember my grandmother used to say that if you don't chop the vegetables small enough, you aren't really making a salad, you're just eating a bowl of disappointment. Anyway, I've been craving that specific texture lately. Just a massive, refreshing heap of perfectly diced greens and veggies. Simple, really. 😉
Did he get banned too?

He was the one I had in mind. 🙏🙏
rustyeagle51 said:Look, can you explain how someone can actually lose something they never even had in the first place? It makes zero sense...
🤦
Soad, Rakhimi, Bobby, even the Inquisitor—who was a bit sketchy, let's be honest🤣, Corto Maltese... and then there was that guy who used to spam the forums and write all over MK. I can't for the life of me remember his name, my brain is just 🤔
Look, I'm fine without them, but it really sucks that they all got permabanned.
