I was thinking about this today while watching some old clips of classic tournaments. There used to be this sense of "sacred ground" with certain traditions—you knew exactly what the vibe was going to be, the atmosphere was specific, and it felt almost untouched by the outside world.

Lately, it feels like every major institution is undergoing this massive pivot to stay relevant to different demographics. I get the business logic behind it, obviously. You have to grow, and you have to follow the money. But sometimes I can't help but feel like the "flavor" of these events gets diluted in the process. When you start blending everything together to appeal to a global audience, do you lose that unique, localized charm that made people fall in love with the event in the first place?

It’s a weird balancing act between evolution and identity. If you change everything to make sure everyone feels included, does the original thing even exist anymore?

Do you think modernizing traditions is a necessary evil for survival, or is it just corporate pandering?

Budget mouse recommendations around $15? in Computer Peripherals ·
Thanks, but look, I’m not hunting for some high-end gaming mouse with a dozen programmable buttons. I just want a decent, reliable mouse that isn't one of those overpriced pieces of junk retailing for $30$13. I only hop on World of Tanks once or twice a week if I feel like it—I don't need anything fancy, just something that actually works without stuttering or cutting out. I ended up swapping my old mouse back in and picked up this one instead:http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Mouse-Optical-USB-Receiver/dp/B0046Z54S6
The only catch was that it ran a bit pricier than what I saw listed here😳. It looks solid enough, so we'll see if it actually holds up during a session.

What mouse should I get for $33??? My middle scroll wheel finally gave up the ghost on my current one (it was some cheap junk from 🤣🤣, but it did its job for a while...) so now I’m hunting for something in the $33 range. I previously picked up a Logitech at Best Buy for about $37, but honestly, it’s been a total disaster... it stutters and lags constantly—like it just dies for a few seconds at a time—and to top it all off, it finally kicked the bucket and won't turn back on!
Feel free to drop some eBay links if you have them. I mainly need it for browsing, playing a bit of World of Tanks, maybe some strategy games here and there; basically, just looking for a reliable mouse that won't flake out on me.
