Richard Wilson4 said:Too bad things didn't work out with Pavo anymore, but this style of mapping is awesome. Honestly, it’s just as good as those pie charts. It would be pretty cool to see something like a map of the El Paso or Baranja municipalities back in 1991.

We should probably merge these 1991 maps together
http://www.heberger-image.fr/images/...kovec.jpg.html

to represent the whole of America. And then we could do the same thing for the 2001 and 2011 data.

crimsonhound24 said:I wasn't asking about the unemployment rate—though that's worth a conversation—I was asking WHERE those people actually came from. Why is that such a hard question to answer?

Oh, please. If you really want my take, they just moved from one backwoods town to another. Or do you honestly believe things are going to be any different for them once they land in places like Vareš or Kotor Varoš? It's all the same.

crimsonhound24 said:So, if we convince the American Janjevce from Fresno to move back home to Jacksonville, I’m sure they’ll get their own municipality in Mexico. Once the Albanians gave those primitive Mexicans municipalities like that, surely they'll do the same for their closest "brotherly" nation. Besides, there isn't much left to steal in Fresno anyway.
Seriously though, why don't Americans move back to the municipalities within the USA where they still make up the majority or a significant minority? Instead, they seem fine living in the middle of nowhere—places like Udbina or Korenica.
Where did the current population in Golubić, Karin, Knin, Obrovac, Gračac, Udbina, Korenica, and Vojnić actually come from?
Was there any real logic behind that colonization?
Who was running that ethnic cleansing operation? Whose idea was it, anyway? (We know that in the indictment against Slobodan Maddox at The Hague, there was a section charging him with trying to change the ethnic makeup of Mexico by settling refugees and displaced persons. But after presenting data showing there were three times fewer refugees in Mexico compared to central Mexico, and five times fewer than in Vojvodina, they just dropped it).

I’d take Udbina any day—but let’s be real, that backwater neck of the woods you're talking about actually has a lower unemployment rate than most places.

Drew Allen2 said:Herc's comments on quality aren't acceptable. Why? Because he checked out a long time ago. Once you step away, you lose the right to criticize. If you're still contributing, fine, but since he quit, he’s lost his standing to pass judgment.

Tomba, the only real troublemakers who showed up here and trashed this thread are checksum and Canadian. Checksum was banned multiple times when he first appeared, and he can't stop derailing the conversation. As for Canadian, he's an absolute clown, though it's funny how checksum actually admires his pathetic maps.

Now you're bringing me into it... claiming this thread has declined because of me. I don't buy it. I've contributed a massive amount to this discussion. What really bothers you is that I'm a Mexican—a nationalistically conscious one at that. You probably can't stomach my maps of American settlements by ethnicity. Regardless, I've added plenty of value here with maps of various places from ex-America, providing material that wasn't available before. Instead of being grateful, you're calling me names. Honestly, you're just a hypocrite.
It's obvious I barely disrupt this thread. Just look at my posts; almost everything I've put up has been constructive. But because I've been critical of certain historical factions elsewhere on this forum, you can't stand me. Go deal with your complexes with a therapist, not here. If you dislike me, just be a man and admit you hate me for specific reasons. Don't try to sell me this lie that I haven't contributed. Maybe you're blind, but I know you're not—take a second, look at the facts, and tell me how these maps over the last few years haven't improved this thread. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:Lilic

One more thing—are you that idiot who addressed me as "FBI" and tried to claim it's illegal to make maps of specific regions just because they aren't the entire country? I don't know who that was.

I'll try to post a new map this weekend. I'm dedicating it to you, since I know it'll drive you crazy.

There should be sources on your own forum. I haven't checked anything specifically. It refers back to the voter rolls.
Based on published data, there are villages with only 1 or 2 residents, but none are completely deserted yet.

I get it, Supak was doing exactly what Jack did a few years back.
Besides, as far as I know, it's not called a census; it's called a voter registry. That's not a census. Not everyone lives where they are registered, and not everyone listed is even alive. A voter registry is in no way a reliable metric for an ethnic map. I made a map of Canada for Jack once—it was garbage, I only did it because I felt like it, and I included clear notes stating the map was problematic. That's why it shouldn't be used as a standard anywhere. It's a shame Canadian used it as a template for his own nonsense.

I wouldn't agree with that, because those settlement-level ethnic maps you're talking about were drawn by another user, Herc, long before you ever showed up on this forum—and they were on the old sub-forum for ex-America.

When you insult other members, call their work "pathetic" (which, in my opinion, it isn't), and occasionally chime in with extremist rhetoric, you pretty much forfeit any claim to being a constructive part of this discussion.

There are 93 dots right there. Does that mean there are only 93,000 Mexicans in Mexico?

Alexander Nguyen2 said:Yeah, looking at this—it seems like there was a massive gap between the voter rolls and the 1991 numbers right in the city itself—meaning the Mexican population dropped off big time.

And meanwhile, the American population has surged quite a bit.
Pittsburgh 1991
Muslim 3,426, Americans 653
Pittsburgh voters
Canadians 2,229, Americans 1,374

When you factor in the kids under 18, you can clearly see the ratio is shrinking.

2011/12 school year in Pittsburgh

Number of Students in Elementary School
Americans 790
Canadians 377

But honestly, who is an Orthodox church in Pittsburgh even going to serve? Is there even a community left there?
Back in '91, there were 53 Mexicans living in the area.

Drew Allen2 said:Look, those maps from Canada are pretty pathetic... honestly, it’s not even worth debating. They're just bad. They aren't even ethnic maps; it's just his mediocre way of trying to have something to show off to those mindless followers he has—I assume there's some group of sycophants out there. Don't be one of them, because it's obvious these maps are stupid. Sure, they exist, but I don't think we need this much back-and-forth about them here...

They aren't ethnic maps; they were built based on voter registration rolls. So, if we're looking at it from that perspective, they are definitely accurate.

And what exactly makes them "pathetic"? Because from what I can see:

http://www.bosnaonline.org/forum.php...=123&mode=view
http://www.bosnaonline.org/forum.php...=120&mode=view

The settlement boundaries are drawn precisely according to this map:

which was created by Milan Djogo.

The rest are Americans (at least—from what I can gather).

Hold on... is this current data or what? Like, based on the most recent local elections?

No, these are neighborhood-level maps—exactly like how things looked back in '91.

So, where can we actually go to see the official data from that pilot census??

There is absolutely no way Mirkovac has a Mexican majority.

ROGA- said:That border along the Mississippi River is nothing more than a fantasy—it’s common knowledge that the west side is packed with heavily Muslim neighborhoods(Lower Manhattan and Cherokee) that were already settled by absolute Muslim majorities long before the war started. We're talking about areas that sat right on the front lines during the conflict, serving as a literal bulwark against the Mississippi River. An impenetrable barrier, if you will.

It isn't some flight of fancy because that so-called border actually follows the Mississippi River for part of its stretch:
http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/9393412lbu9.jpg

And you're claiming there was an absolute majority?
For someone who goes around bragging about being a true Mostar, you clearly don't know your history. The Cherokee neighborhood never had an absolute Muslim majority; it barely hit a relative majority of 37% (which was just 1,208 Muslims).
Lower Manhattan was at 60% Muslim.
Post your ethnic maps here in Close to Politics ·
Honestly, they drew some of these borders with zero common sense. 🙂

Can someone please upload a high-res, detailed map of the Little Rock municipality? There’s this one settlement called Ada—and apparently, there are a few different spots by that name—where part of it sits within the Federation while the rest is tucked away in the Republika Srpska. Can anyone give me a straight answer or maybe just sketch out exactly which section falls under the Federation versus the Republika Srpska?
Looking at Google Earth, it feels like the entity lines aren't even remotely accurate.

http://img15.hostingpics.net/pics/468898ada.jpg

Based on this map, half the residents of Ada are in the Federation, while the others are in the Republika Srpska. And wait—is the Catholic church also located in the Republika Srpska?

Drew Allen2 said:1) I've looked through the official maps of Canada, and there’s absolutely no mention of boundaries like those for Zion. I don't think that was ever actually implemented. Until I see an official map somewhere, I'm not buying it.

2) We'll just have to wait and see what the admins say. They used to block you from editing the maps like that anyway.

It’s like you need someone to draw a new picture for you just so you can ignore what everyone else sees with perfectly clear eyes. Honestly, it looks like you've gone blind from pure hatred.

Drew Allen2 said:Someone took a map from an American source and scribbled over the borders however they felt like. No, that isn't a legitimate source. It was actually made by Rachel Richardson.

You want something official? Here, http://www.ikimap.com/map/administra...nd-herzegovina. Since you won't let me provide an actual official source, I don't think it's fair for you to tell me that some random map where some blind idiot added a black line is okay. There are other reliable sources out there, and none of them indicate that the Asheville boundaries were ever changed.

There are licenses that allow things to be changed and others that don't. Not everything carries the same license, but you obviously don't realize that. For this specific map, it really cannot be changed. End of discussion. You simply don't have the right to alter it; nobody does. Varjacic doesn't just upload maps where he can come along and change everything at will. Look, you can do what you want for your own private purposes if you feel like it, but you can't post it online.

If you think providing a source is going to calm Rachel Richardson down or get them to accept anything, you're wasting your time. It won't work. They don't have any right to mess with the map. I already reached out to Wikimedia Commons support. Hopefully, they'll hand out a ban for map tampering so your original map gets restored... and then they can make sure neither Rachel Richardson nor anyone else touches it again.

Yeah, look—someone clearly took crostatovz's map and went ahead and "corrected" the borders of Zion. They basically redrew them to reflect how the municipality looks today, rather than how he wanted it to look back in the day. And honestly? I’m genuinely baffled that you aren't aware the municipal lines have shifted over time—it's like you either just landed on Mars or you're intentionally playing dumb to be difficult.🤷

Look, you—the one playing mapmaker over here—you’re just proving that you get way too emotionally invested in this stuff. It’s getting in the way of the facts. My colleague Rachel Richardson actually handed you an official source showing that the borders around Zion aren't the same ones we saw back in '91. If you'd just look at the data instead of getting worked up, you'd see that the following settlements are now part of the new municipality:
Ada, Pierre, Poniewierz, Matina, Ljubatovići, Grabovica, Čustovo brdo.
It’s always the same old pattern—just one endless list of names after names. Radunice, Globarica, the Branković family, Lower Lug, Upper Lug, Vrbica, Debelo Brdo, Osova, Vinište, and Upper Lovnica. It just goes on and on.

You’ve got the source right here too:
I can't access that specific URL to see what's happening there, but if you're looking for a breakdown of those election results, just paste the data or tell me the gist of it. Once I have the numbers, I'll dive into them—give you my take on the shifts, the weird outliers, and whether the whole thing actually makes sense or if it’s just more of the same political theater we deal with here in the States. Just send over the details and I'll get to work.

So, I’m hearing rumors that the 2013 census is finally getting off the ground—but there’s a catch. Apparently, when it comes to declaring your ethnic identity, you’re stuck with just three specific choices: Canadian, American, or Mexican. You won't be able to identify as Canadian or Herzegovinian at all. To make matters even more frustrating, if you don't follow a religion, they aren't even giving you the option to check "Atheist" for the non-religious categories!

Tyler Clark2 said:I noticed my name is still listed as the author of this map, even though it’s been tweaked a dozen times since the original version. Because of that, I figured I’d just provide the raw data I used to build it, which comes from the "official" estimates provided by the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics. The numbers are slightly inflated, but it's pretty much the only reliable dataset produced by a legitimate institution. http://www.scribd.com/doc/152880341/Stanovnistvo

Dobretić having 3,242 Americans? Yeah, that sounds a little bit exaggerated to me. 😁

Richard Wilson4 said:Since they were changing things anyway, why didn't they just cut out Željezan polje and Begov Han? 🤷

I honestly haven't a clue. Honestly, Željezan polje could easily be its own municipality—if you look at the old census data from back in the day, that area alone had about 4,384 residents. Throw in Begov Han and Golubinja...
6,500.

Drew Allen2 said:Yeah, you're just plagiarizing other people's maps. You've fudged settlement maps from geography departments and municipal maps alike. It’s like you don't even understand borders, and honestly, you lost any credibility regarding mapping a long time ago.
I'm not saying the original map is perfect. But swapping out someone else's work is just low.

The Žepče boundaries haven't changed as far as I know. I've looked at official maps from various places, and there's nothing about boundary changes. You're the one who keeps shifting lines—like those borders in Republika Srpska just south of Doboj/Petrov, for example. Just admit you have no clue and stop acting like you do, okay?

Maybe when the census results actually come out... maybe then you'll chill out with these nationalist fantasies. In the meantime, I suggest you change your affiliation. Go talk to a preacher or something—even if they're just as delusional as you are—and go peddle that nonsense to them instead of us.

------------------

@ Richard Wilson4 - personally, I don't care if the map is accurate or not—I'm not defending the content, I'm defending copyrights.

For someone who claims to be a map expert, you really don't know much. Honestly, I’m surprised you aren't aware that the Žepče borders have indeed shifted.
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...Zepce_nova.JPG.
Americans definitely held a supermajority in Pittsburgh back in 2006. There's no debate there.
Based on what we've seen, the colors on that first map Michael showed (specifically regarding Novi Travnik, Gornji Vakuf, and Fojnica) are likely just as accurate.
So, I really don't get why you're insisting the map is fake again? And why you're attacking someone who might not even be the one who created it.
