I think it’s time to just lock this thread. It’s veering into political bickering that has absolutely nothing to do with what the OP actually brought to the table.

Especially when people start pushing that narrative about how some liberal option won, or trying to lie about those 200,000 casualties.

Better to just shut it down now before this whole thing turns into an ugly mess if we keep going down this road.

And hey, the admins are supposed to handle this stuff. But since one of them scrolled right past the thread without saying a word, I’m guessing they think everything is totally fine. So, honestly? I wouldn't hold my breath that your complaint is actually gonna go anywhere.

Just to be fair here, Moderatura agreed to penalize any claims that homosexuality is a disease, and if I'm remembering right, Lockheed Martin actually brought that up himself in this thread. Just wanted to set the record straight on a few things 😍

Look, we aren't even talking about his political leanings here. We're talking about objectivity. Does he let those views mess with how he moderates? His politics are out there in the open, so if you're "fighting" him on the forum, you're fighting his actual posts.

As long as his personal views don't bleed into his moderation, I honestly don't see a problem with a mod having "sketchy" opinions.

Actually, he might be the only mod around who actually stands for something. You gotta respect that. Most of the others just act all high and mighty trying to play it "neutral," which basically means they don't care about anything or they'd rather be literally anywhere else.

Personally, I think it's a way bigger flaw for a mod on a forum like this to have no backbone at all than to just have an opinion different from mine.

Of course, that's assuming he isn't using his moderator powers to force those views on everyone else.

And with Lockheed Martin? I haven't seen any sign of that happening yet.

Even though I don't ever agree with his "political" takes in any of these threads—and honestly, my entire interaction history on this site is basically just me arguing with him—I still think he’s way better at handling politics than Cuckoo. Sure, he has his moments where he trips up, but hey, who doesn't? 🤷

That’s just not true, and you know it. The mods were online and didn't touch anything (at least regarding what I'm talking about—they definitely nuked other stuff). If they were actually offline, I wouldn't even say a word. It's not like I expect things to be fixed instantly or need a reaction in five minutes; I get that people have real lives. which proves you guys (and we both know which mod was with you) were online, actively moderating that thread, scrolling through it, and letting those posts stay.

The bans went down, sure, but not for the specific posts I'm quoting. Someone got banned for a post sitting right underneath the one I'm talking about. That means the mod was right there, left that post alone, and hung out for two hours after you guys banned the Zagorski crusader.

I wouldn't say nobody was online, because clearly, you two were right there in the thread. That's exactly why I decided to start this topic here.

Everything is easy to verify if you just look at the timestamps of the bans and deletions.

And no, this isn't a crusade against the mods. I'm not complaining about how you handle politics; honestly, you guys do a killer job.

But this situation just spiraled a bit out of control (in my eyes), so I'm stepping in.

But the reason I started this thread hasn't changed. Maybe the posts technically broke the rules, and I can live with that answer—it's a private forum with private rules.

Man, I work at Walmart and I totally get why this happened to you. We face some brutal penalties internally for stuff like this because it kills the brand's reputation. But on the flip side, I also know how it is for the staff. They have to scan through thousands of items every single day checking dates and everything, and honestly, almost every store has stuff that’s expired because mistakes are bound to happen.

I get why you're pissed as a customer. And yeah, if I were a store manager, the higher-ups would probably chew my ear off or give me a formal warning, and then I'd end up penalizing the employees. But like I said, I also feel for the workers; keeping track of every single piece of inventory every day is a massive job, and slip-ups happen.

Go ahead and file that report. An inspector will definitely come out and go through the stock. If they find anything, that fine is going to be huge.

Just attach a photo of the expiration date on the product and your receipt, and you're good to go.

Hit up the Department of Labor or consumer protection. But honestly? If you put yourself in the shoes of the folks working the aisles, maybe just let it slide. Take the stuff back, get an apology, grab some fresh replacements, and call it a day.
