I’d suggest grabbing a Hiren's Boot CD and running a full diagnostic on the hard drive, or maybe just run it through an HDD Regenerator from a disc instead...
It doesn't necessarily mean that he or some other billionaire is going to die or has already passed away, because it's entirely possible they're just living somewhere far away from the public eye... ☕
It honestly feels like it should be a given that we’re meant to be immortal, because let's face it, the whole concept of aging is just a massive design flaw, and if you listen to what some of the top researchers are saying, the human body isn't actually programmed to fail us like this... I truly believe they've already stumbled upon the key to eternal life, it's just being kept under wraps, hidden away from the rest of us mere mortals.
I actually headed over there myself to grab the drivers, but I noticed they don't have anything specifically listed for Windows 7—it's just Windows XP and Vista... so I ended up downloading the Vista versions and manually marking them as compatible with Windows 7 to see if that might work...
I already gave that a shot, but I'm hitting a wall because I can't find any drivers at all... neither through a manual search nor does the automatic detection tool seem to recognize the hardware...
So, I've been running into this frustrating issue where my Dell Inspiron hits a Blue Screen of Death right as Windows 7 finishes booting up... but the weird thing is, if I just restart the machine, everything seems to run perfectly fine, and it doesn't even happen every single time I power it on. The error messages I'm getting specifically point toward some kind of conflict with the NVIDIA GeForce drivers... and since I can't find any dedicated Windows 7 drivers specifically for this Dell model, I've been trying to use the Vista drivers that are listed as compatible with Windows 7, but nothing seems to stick. I've already attempted a full reinstallation of the drivers, but that didn't solve a thing, so I was wondering if anyone might have an idea or a workaround for this...
I was wondering if there's actually a significant performance gap between the Intel Celeron G1840 2.8, which comes with 2MB, on the LGA 1150 socket, and the INTEL Pentium Processor G3220 (3.00GHz, 512KB, 3MB, 54 W, 1150) Box featuring the INTEL HD Graphics...
Timothy Kim60 said:You aren't going to see what that 250X can really do until you swap out the CPU and upgrade the whole platform, so I wouldn't bother sticking with that setup for more than a couple of years if you're planning on gaming...
Oh, I totally get that, but I'm not actually the one playing—it's mostly just the kids, and they're usually stuck on multiplayer titles or strategy games, so we'll just plan on picking up a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM once we have the extra cash available...
I’ve already gone ahead and picked everything up and got it all assembled, and honestly, between the EVGA Radeon and that Antec power supply, the whole thing is practically silent, which is such a massive breath of fresh air compared to my old setup... I still need to pop in some more RAM, but once that's done, I think this rig will easily carry me through the next few years...
Adam Moore3 said:Honestly, none of those links you shared are worth a dime, and you really shouldn't pull the trigger on any of them. That graphics card is basically half as powerful as what you actually need... and that case looks like it belongs in a museum from the Core i7 era. Even that listing for the Corsair gear feels incredibly sketchy to me... Trying to upgrade a platform like that is just throwing money down a bottomless pit, because if you were going to pick up a processor for it, you'd have to jump straight to a quad-core, specifically something from the Core i9 series, since those are the only ones that aren't total underpowered relics (to some extent). So yeah, I wouldn't touch anything from that list... 🙂
Alright, so maybe I should just grab this new setup for now, and then eventually upgrade everything again later with a much stronger processor and a better motherboard🙂
Timothy Kim60 said:I’ve been spending quite a bit of time lately looking into the specs for the EVGA SuperNOVA, trying to determine if it’s truly going to hold up under the kind of load I’m planning to put on my rig... It’s one of those components where you really don't want to cut corners, because everything else depends on it being rock solid... + I’ve been spending quite a bit of time lately looking into the Spire Maverick, and I have to say, there is something about its design language that really catches the eye... It feels like one of those cases that tries to strike a very specific balance between being functional and actually looking decent on a desk, which isn't always an easy feat when you're trying to manage airflow and aesthetics at the same time... I find myself wondering how it will hold up once I get all my components tucked inside, especially when it comes to cable management and keeping things looking clean... It’s definitely a curious option for anyone looking to build something a little different.../MS Phoenix... + I was just sitting here thinking about that old EVGA Radeon... it really makes you wonder how much we take for granted when we're looking at modern hardware, because back then, having something like that felt like such a massive leap forward for anyone trying to get into gaming without breaking the bank...You know, if you're really looking to hunt down some 2GB DDR2 sticks, you can probably snag them for around a hundred bucks... or maybe even less if you're lucky...$40But honestly, you might be better off just holding onto that cash and saving up for a completely new platform instead...
I am honestly feeling a bit stuck on how to approach this specific topic... I've been sitting here for quite a while trying to find the right way to frame my thoughts, but everything seems to fall short of what I actually want to convey... It’s one of those situations where you know exactly what you mean in your head, yet finding the perfect sequence of words to express that depth feels almost impossible... Honestly, you could probably get away with using a generic, no-name power supply if it’s actually functioning correctly... though I’d still be a little cautious about that. If you are absolutely certain that you aren't planning on upgrading your CPU anytime soon, then you might be able to make it work, but only if the unit is reliable...
It’s honestly getting harder and harder to save anything meaningful these days... one minute you finally have some extra cash sitting in your account, and the next, it’s just gone, vanished into thin air. So, my plan is basically to grab the GPU, the case, and the power supply right now while I actually have the funds, and then once I manage to scrape together enough again down the road, I'll circle back to pick up the motherboard, the RAM, and the CPU...🙂
Timothy Kim60 said:What kind of total budget are we looking at for those three components? Well, my main concern with using edigital is how they handle returns and warranty claims, especially since they just pulled out of the US market recently... if I'm going to order from an international retailer, I’d much rather go with someone reliable and fast, like Newegg or maybe B&H...
$367 I'm trying to cover the case, the power supply, and the graphics card, plus I still need to grab another 2 GB of DDR2 RAM, so I'm aiming for about $1,300 total...$467.
I'm currently on the hunt for a new case and a power supply unit, though I did pick up some parts from Micro Center for my other build recently and everything has been running perfectly smoothly...
Is it actually worth picking up this graphics card? I’m trying to figure out what kind of performance boost I’d really see since I’m just running on integrated graphics at the moment. My current setup is running an ASUS motherboard with 4 GB of DDR2 800 MHz RAM and an Intel Core i5 dual core processor, plus I've got this power supply feeding it all...
I was looking at this listing and started wondering if it actually makes more sense to just grab this used card instead of hunting for something newer...
It’s honestly just depressing, because once Qatar gets their hands on that gold, sports will have turned into a complete joke... everything has become nothing more than a massive money grab.
