More than 50 percent of surgeons take bribes, whether it’s in the form of steak dinners, coffee, whiskey, cigarettes, or cold hard cash. Because, let’s be real, gifts are bribes, even if most people prefer actual currency. I’m not saying every doctor is corrupt, but there are more than not (this applies to residents; those underpaid folks in general practice usually aren't even in a position to take bribes).
