Question: AVI Subtitles in Software ·
Carl Nguyen2 said:Yeah, because it's just not showing the palatals for me.

Look, maybe it’d be easier to just use Subtitle Edit to swap those palatals out for c, z, s, etc., and then save it like that?
There are other ways too—if your media player supports FW upgrades, they might have released an update by now that actually handles our characters.

Ethan Gomez61 said:Hold up—as far as I recall, .vob is just the extension for DVD video files. If my memory serves me right—and I used to convert DVDs to AVI using VLC Media Player all the time back in the day—once you decrypted a DVD onto your PC, the files showed up as .vob.
just try burning that vob and popping it into a DVD player; maybe merge the files using a virtual drive

Exactly. A VOB is basically just a video file sitting on a DVD. It slipped my mind too, but hey, try using "Nero Burning ROM" to mux those into a proper video DVD. You'll end up with VOB files around 1GB again, plus those IFO and BUP files. That sounds like a standard VOB file size to me.😁

You’ve also got "Gordian Knot" along with a whole bunch of little utilities for converting formats—honestly, it's a total steal.
Anything you need can be found on those Bug or PC Magazine discs.

Don't forget about your address book if you have a ton of contacts saved. Look for the .WAB extension.
I can't recall the exact steps—pretty sure I exported it from Outlook myself back in the day—but honestly, it doesn't matter. Just use Google Search to hunt down any files ending in *.DBX and move them over to a directory on a different drive. ☕
