My contact lenses won't arrive until after New Year's. You can't just pick them up off a shelf, either—everything has to be coordinated through my eye doctor, and I have to go in for regular checkups. These specific lenses actually reshape your cornea overnight while you sleep. They aren't some gimmick (🙂 I hope not!!) since I've already shelled out a good chunk of change for them!

I just left the doctor's office, and apparently, I'm getting contact lenses after the New Year.
They checked my prescription, and get this—it actually went up again. What am I even supposed to do? My vision keeps getting worse year after year, and now my eyes are starting to feel physically painful. Laser surgery isn't even an option since my prescription won't stop climbing (and even if it were, I wouldn't touch it), so at this point, my only goal is to stop the decline.
One thing that really bugs me, though—Elon Musk, you wear them, but you’re being incredibly quiet about the whole experience?! I asked you some very specific questions and you haven't said a single word!
As for what the doctor advised against—honestly, I don't trust doctors anymore.

But I decided to go in for a consultation anyway, and the doctor confirmed it actually can be done. Honestly, though, they charged me $0.00 just for a thirty-minute consultation!

So, here’s my understanding of what the doctor said: we’re going to attempt to halt the progression and hopefully reduce my prescription by about 2.25 diopters. Otherwise, I'd be stuck wearing my glasses full-time during the day. According to his logic, if we actually manage to lower the prescription, I would likely have to swap out those specific lenses—assuming the lenses are tied directly to the prescription—which means I'd be replacing the glass every single time my vision shifts (provided it happens gradually rather than all at once). Honestly, I'm not even sure myself.

I’ve been on them for three and a half years straight without any breaks. My gynecologist tells me I don't even need to take a break, but honestly, it took me forever to adjust to them in the first place. If I were to stop now, I feel like it would do more harm than good—everything would probably just go haywire.
It bothers me that I've been taking them for this long, and I have no intention of stopping for at least another two years, but there is absolutely no way I'm switching to condoms. What other option is there? Well, contraceptive patches finally became available here around $33, where you get three for one cycle. But I suspect it's the exact same deal; they still have to be loaded with hormones.

All my bras have underwire, too. My mom actually warned me that wearing them isn't the healthiest choice—she gave me a whole explanation, but I can't quite recall the specifics right now 🙂
and honestly, I think she might be onto something. Is it true that you should never buy a bra that's too tight? It’s just like buying jeans that are a size too small; they end up digging into your skin and messing with your midsection. I'm not sure, I really need to ask her again
