Ask about Christmas later, not right now.
Dell Latitude printer driver for Windows 7 in Computer Peripherals ·
How does that work?
It’s right here on the official sites.

Hmm. Why are you even looking at AGP cards when that motherboard definitely has PCIe
A newer Radeon HD4xxx series would be a solid choice

A Celeron is weak by design... you won't even notice a difference

It's not worth the effort... you won't gain anything from it.
Don't bother swapping out the processor... there's really no point.
The PlayStation 3 was built strictly for gaming. So, if that's the goal, it's the better pick... though availability and game prices are a different story entirely.

Given your current setup, an NVIDIA GeForce 250 or an AMD Radeon HD 4870 would be plenty to get you playing.
Not quite... he mentioned the motherboard too. It’s an AM2 socket

It might be worth tossing in an $133 AMD Athlon II X2 240

Grab an EVGA 460 W power supply from Ve-Mil for about $100
then pair it with an Nvidia GeForce 250 gts for maybe 750-$267
Radeon HD 5850

🤣 You can snag an HD 4870 for $333, not 2.5k
.
What's your monitor resolution?
Differences come down to packaging, cooling solutions, and even the specific retailers

What’s the build spec and PSU?
Walter James said:I might be getting a bit tedious, but I'd rather not end up buying the wrong thing right now. I'll probably have more questions down the road.🙂
Thanks. Much appreciated.👍

No problem. Ask away.

So, I picked the absolute worst possible moment to build a PC. It seems like everything I actually want is nowhere to be found. The HD4870 series appears to be phased out of production entirely, and at this rate, who knows if they’ll ever see the light of day again. Does anyone here have any actual intel on this?

Production has officially ceased, but you can still snag one... at least until the remaining stock runs out.
The Vapor-X version offers superior cooling performance
Sapphire HD 4890 Vapor-X, 1GB GDDR5
or just a standard Sapphire model
Go with the Corsair 400 CX and an HD4890

If that Corsair isn't available, try actually reading the top thread on power supplies...
2GB isn't even necessary at your resolution, @Walter James/">@@Walter James
How exactly do you plan on swapping a GPU without opening the case?

Looking at those specs, it’s highly likely someone slapped a cheap power supply in there. I'd suggest looking into a different route instead.
The power supply??

I’d personally go for the 275GTX if you've got a solid PSU under the hood. Otherwise, stick with the HD4890 paired with a Corsair 400W CX if your current setup is a bit shaky.
Radeon HD 4xxx series

An HD4350 should do the trick, preferably a passive one.
