If I were in your shoes, I’d grab this one.

That CPU pulls a massive amount of power, and using that specific codegen isn't exactly a stroke of genius.

By the way, obviously it's overclocked... the record sits at 7GHz.

You aren't going to see any meaningful performance gains just by cranking up the voltage or messing with the bus frequency. That’s only worth it if you're chasing extreme overclocking territory—trying to squeeze every last drop of power out of the machine.
Give the HD 4670 a little breathing room and it'll be fine.
wiredmarlin5, it's still way more than $300..

There isn't a set formula... but generally, you see a smaller temperature spike if you only increase the frequency rather than the voltage.
Try hunting down a used 9550 or 9600 for under $33
Theoretically, it pulls about 180W max. Your rig shouldn't have any issues running a 450VX..
If you're overclocking that CPU to 3.0 GHz, you can comfortably drop in a GTX 285 without a second thought.
You blew it... you should have just grabbed the 250 GTS.
Since we're talking about a PCI Express card, the Radeon HD 3850 is just overpriced, and the only DDR3 option on the table..

I’d rather hang onto those $267.. once you sell this one, you'll already have more than half a new rig built
Just grab the Radeon HD 3650

There isn't really any other sensible way to play this..
Not great... barely worth it for multimedia alone.
You could go with the HD 3450 or the HD 3470.

Mainly... it’s hardly an option if you actually want to game.

New ones are sitting at $200 and $113
You’re probably thinking of the hd3450

You can technically run anything... but expect to play on low settings at 800x600. It's an HTPC card, not a gaming rig.
Yeah... I've got one. It’s been sucking the life out of my PC's power supply for over a year now.

Same deal.

If you're running this in a VM, just make sure you have a reliable Gigabyte 460 w
Haven't looked...
hmm.. maybe try hunting for one of these..
nvidia 7300, 7600

just don't expect to find any AGP cards sitting on a shelf brand new.
Used or new
Used Nvidia GeForce FX 5200
