You won't have any headroom left for the power supply... if you're actually looking for a long-term solution, just grab a Corsair 400 CX

As for everything else, just grab a cooling rack somewhere.
Radeon HD 4830 paired with a decent power supply
wiredmarlin5 said:We have a few rules that need to be followed:
  • Do you need an AGP or PCI-E card?
  • What’s your current or planned setup, and what kind of PSU are you running?
  • What resolution are you gaming at?
  • What's your budget looking like?
  • Which retailers are you considering?
  • List any other specific requirements here.

Just stick to the requirements listed above.

Are you squeezing it?

Maybe Zalman fan Mate 2 could help you quiet them down.

The cheapest new one is $111

You won't get more than $67 out of it..

$50 is a realistic price
Finding a 700V unit is going to be tough... that’s an incredibly high voltage. However, you'll easily find a power supply that runs on 110V, which is the standard here in the States.

Basically, you need a 400W PSU. I think you can grab one for about $100; there's a Corsair 460 w out there that's more than enough for your setup.

Skip that GPU. You're better off going with an NVIDIA GT 430.

That processor is only available in some small town in rural Ohio, so I doubt you'll be able to track it down. And don't bother dreaming about overclocking on that board.

A 160GB drive isn't worth the money. For $17$40, you can already pick up 250-320GB drives instead.

You should definitely be able to run Call of Duty 5 at 1024x768, though a beefier CPU—maybe an Athlon 6000+—would help.
Pairing that processor with an HD4670 is complete overkill.

forget about it... there's a detailed overclocking guide right here.. basic elementary school math.

For those wannabe overclockers relying on auto BIOS functions or software tweaks...

Just a tiny voltage bump... if that doesn't do it, then I guess I'll try again..

Temperatures hitting 60 is fine

There’s such a thing as real frequency, and then there’s effective frequency.

Your actual clock is 339MHz, which means you're looking at an effective speed of 680MHz.

DDR2... basically just 339 x 2
The voltage is 230V..

Just get the HD4670.

The wiki says it works... though an HD 3850 could probably pull it off too.

Good luck finding anyone on an American tech forum who actually has the drivers or a patch to make it functional.
Not quite... it just claims the V5700 architecture is identical to the HD 4670.. but there aren't any drivers available..

I suspect you could probably mod an HD 3870 into a V7700 if you use one of the higher-end cards.
or maybe
There's a leak

Download HWMonitor and just leave it running while you play
No... the HD4670 is a much better call...

And honestly, the fact that the NVIDIA 9500GT has 1GB of VRAM is completely irrelevant.
If you can't track down an 8800GT—which, by the way, demands a high-end power supply from a brand like Corsair—just grab the HD4670. It’ll handle a monitor 19 just fine enough.
