an ad should probably say "now, a little about my car" at this point, but that's such a cliché, so here's some art instead

so, just write down what you think should come next 😬
enough about you, let's talk about me for a bit 😁😁
basically, the best example of non-mediocre, untamed hair...
Instead of following the usual trend—you know, being one of those preppy, polished guys with long hair and designer glasses just to get some pretty girls to notice you 😍 😍 🤣 🤣 🤣
George Chavez8 said:I'll be honest with you—if there's one thing I actually care about, it's my hair. 😬
And maybe thanks to you for getting me to talk about myself, I guess. 😬
All the best people I know seem tied to the World Cup... I suppose we just view it as a sort of extended family gathering or something like that. 🤣🤣😍😁
George Chavez8 said:I get what you mean about the practicality side of things. 😬 And this whole—well, kind of an Oliver Twist vibe—
I don't know, I just feel pretty primal lately :: with the short hair and the beard, I guess I'm just sort of ruggedly handsome
once my hair actually grows back, my head looks like a giant watermelon and I just give off this neglected kid energy😬
it’s nice to talk about yourself and how you see yourself😬
Oh, come on, don't be like that—you have to work with your hair, really listen to it... you build yourselves up as people through that process... it isn't quite that simple...😁😁😁
A few points 🙏🙏🙏 regarding the Oliver Twist aura and that "talking about oneself" observation. 😬
This is probably the first topic I can actually weigh in on with some real experience 😁
So, here's the deal
I've had really long hair twice before—kind of like Jesus style.
The first time, I went from super long straight down to a buzz cut—that was a few years back.
The second time, I went from long to medium length—think Ashton Kutcher or something similar 😁—and then just a few days ago, I went from that medium length to a short cut. 😁
Having long or medium hair was pretty cool—though they feel kind of the same in terms of heat and stuff—but I think I got my fill of it over the last six years.
Right now, it's all cropped short. It's fine, I guess, though I still need to get used to it—it’s a pretty huge life change for a guy with hair. 😁
It’s way more practical, too... I don't think I'll grow it out again, maybe just keep it around two inches if I want to look a little alternative or whatever. 😁
Bad things aren't necessarily trash... let's not get those two mixed up...☕
urgent help—I can't seem to find anywhere to buy tickets 😕😕
help
p.s. I still think the Foo Fighters are total garbage—but my girlfriend keeps nagging me to stop avoiding taking her to shows... 😁😁
45... I stay in touch with about twenty of them regularly—and then check in with the others once in a while... if I haven't heard from someone in a month or two, I usually just delete them. I guess there's really no point in maintaining a list of 500 people...
That’s a solid point—I think I’d also prefer to drop the "instructor" part from the title...👍
I guess they just gave me a bunch of loose gravel...🤣
Sorry for digging up such an old thread, but I just couldn't help myself 😁
To be clear—aside from what I mentioned—I don't have any other mental health issues 😁😉...but anyway, I'm a veteran here, a regular in this category...
It started with just a quick check of the door... last night before bed... but now I find myself checking every window, opening every cabinet and drawer, peeking into every corner of the apartment, under tables, inside closets behind furniture, and doing it all several times throughout the evening and night... the laundry room, the balcony, the patio... and when I check the doors, I turn the key—you know, that advanced deadbolt style—about 50 times. Every single time I turn it, step back, and look for ten seconds, I get this feeling like I didn't actually lock it, so I have to do it again... I've tried all the tricks, like saying "it's locked" out loud, but nothing helps, obviously...
If I hear even a tiny noise, I jump out of my half-sleep and start the whole ritual over... so I'm constantly sleep-deprived, of course 😉
And my psychiatrist can't seem to help; I guess there isn't a soul on earth who can convince me that the chance of something happening is small enough 🤣🤣
The one silver lining is that I don't have any past traumas that could explain why I'm acting this way...
p.s. I'm not even counting the stuff like counting tiles while walking or trying to avoid stepping on the lines, adding up numbers on license plates, the fear of being in crowds—like standing in line at Chase Bank, for example—or even a mild case of claustrophobia... that's also there...
😁😁
northerncrane4 said:But then again—I guess you have to be a massive cinephile to actually show up at a festival where they're screening a Fadil Hadžić film produced by Joza Patljak in the main competition. 😁
Alright 😁
I was there from Sunday through today...
So, I caught the movie character, It's Not the End, and behind the glass...
In short:
Matanic—the film isn't bad, I liked the atmosphere, some cool bits here and there, but it
lacks a real story.
Bresan—just your standard crowd-pleaser.
Ogresta—it's hard to judge objectively, since it feels like a deeply personal reflection from the director, and maybe my subjective take doesn't really matter much anyway 😉
pssst 😳😳
I guess there aren't any actual cinephiles in here—maybe just casual viewers 😳😳
It's kind of wild that Spiderman movies have three thousand posts though 😳
So, I figured I’d start a little thread about this year's Sundance Film Festival...
Who made it out there—how was the experience for you all?
Feel free to share 🙂
