I've been scouring Target trying to track this thing down, but so far... nothing. Total dead end.

Also, if anyone happens to have a copy of minus 5, please, please, pleeease share those last two tracks? I can't find them anywhere, it's driving me nuts.

HELL YEAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

👍 👍 👍 👍

Nathan Thomas88 said:Lmao, they're probably coming all the way from San Francisco just for this!

haha 🤮

Right now we've got 6 people locked in—but honestly, if Lee Hale and Robert Fischer showed up, it would be absolutely mental if we didn't have Olson and his whole crew there in full force.

And as far as I know, there are a few other little circles in the city into this kind of music, so I'm pretty sure they'll show up too.

Frank Wright14 said:Just confirming what was said—Olson and his lovely wife are gonna be here any day now. Let’s just mark down March 31st, 2003, as a near certainty since they're coming to us and we won't even have to travel to Beck....
man, KSET is the absolute best !!!!!!!!!!!!

hats off to you👍 👍

Steven Hernandez9 said:crimsonjackal8, hey, do you have any connection to that post-punk band I’m obsessively into, "Second Theme"? If you do, I heard my buddy Steven Hernandez9 is looking for a keyboardist.😈

👍 👍 haha... 👍 👍

Tyler Grant86 said:So, this is the official lineup:

mark olson & the creekdippers
feat.victoria williams

Right now, it looks like they're only hitting Northern Europe, but if they decide to swing down toward Austria, we might actually get lucky...😉

Man, they're already playing in Vienna on the 30th. It’s basically our turn now.
Also, just a heads up—Friends of Dean Martinez are in Vienna on the 26th, and The Flaming Lips are there on the 1st.

We need to get something booked for KSET🙏

Tyler Grant86 said:So, what’s the verdict on Mark Olson... should we bring him on?

Hey guys, don't mess with my emotions here...
OF COURSE we need to get him—if you guys can make it happen.
And Jayhawks too, if there's any way.

Plus Palo Alto
and Oldham

I'm voting yes for the whole damn crew.

Here’s tonight's pre-sleep playlist—cobbled together while I was pretty much wasted:

walkabouts - stoping-off place
tanya donelly - moonbeam monkey
tom waits - starving in the belly of a whale
madrugada - come on home to me
von bondies - no sugar mama
gabin - doo uap, doo uap, doo uap
gilian welch - caleb meyer

crimsonjackal8 said:Wait, Tweedy and O'Rourke? You calling that Americana?!

And the Breakers? Is that even punk??

Tyler Grant86 said:but if he’s planning on doing another greatest hits set like last time, I don't know about that...

What does that even mean?
I wasn't at the show—which is my own damn fault, honestly—but from what I've heard from people who were there, they actually seemed pretty stoked.

Vienna, Feb 16th, Shakespearean Hall, Woven Hand.
For those who aren't in the loop, this is basically David Eugene Edwards' side project from 16 Horsepower. From what I gather, they've got one album out on Glitterhouse—it’s actually pretty solid, honestly, and feels a lot like 16 HP.

Beck, April 14th and 15th, CALEXICO. Going to see them for the second time. I don't doubt for a second that they're gonna be legendary.

Man, if only the crew over at KSET could pull Oldham back to the States again...

And Calexico too.
plus it's sitting right there on my hard drive 😁
just the usual genius stuff

28. 1. Billy the Kid - "Master and Everyone"
10. 2. Calexico - "A Feast of Wire"
1. 4. Jayhawks
"Early in 2003..." Lucinda Williams

Damn!
