Wait, isn't that the guy who carved "for real" into his skin with a knife? Dude was absolutely unhinged...🙄

man, Ryan James3, you totally forgot to mention that the Antichrist himself is basically the lead singer in your band

what kind of "true black metal" is this even supposed to be? absolute garbage—this is pure, unadulterated evil :2up:
Violent Femmes in Music ·
YOU LITERALLY CANNOT MESS WITH VIOLENT FEMMES!!!!🙂
SERIOUSLY, DON'T EVEN TRY TO PLAY WITH THIS BAND!!!

So, Lambchop is playing tomorrow, right? And now I'm reading in the Morning Post that there's some rumor going around about the Pixies potentially hitting up Chicago.

man....

Frank Howard79 is spot on—they’re a decent enough band, I guess, but honestly, there isn't much to even say about them. Why bother? There are at least a hundred bands out there right now that are way more interesting. Personally, I’ve been digging Boys in the Band lately—not bad at all, especially since I’ve been trying to actually branch out with my music taste. 🙂

it's out somewhere before summer hits... but imho it's not really worth hunting down on Soulseek. (*coming from the guy who once thought every single band except Cramps was total garbage 😁 *)

Joshua Ross792 said:Man, Frankie boy actually dumped his girlfriend—which is why that first album is ironically called "heartbreaker"—and honestly, pretty much all of his solo stuff came out after they split up. Before that, he was playing with Whiskeytown!

Oh, for sure.

I was just trying to say that to me, Whiskeytown 👍 hits just like Heartbreaker 👍 did, but then everything just got more and more boring—I'm talking about Demolition and rock n roll—though I will admit Love Is Hell Pt. 1 has a few decent moments.

Honestly, I liked him way better back when he actually had a girlfriend. Ever since she dumped him, he’s been walking around acting like some massive rockstar. I mean, maybe he is one, but his stuff just isn't hitting the mark lately.

I checked them out once and the first track actually hit, but after that, everything else felt like a carbon copy of the first one—kind of lost interest. But I guess that’s just the whole point of dub, right? 😁

np Meat Puppets - another moon

(but hey, I did go to a top-tier prep school) and I don't even claim to write perfectly, but people have called me out ten times for being weird about it—though honestly, it's a super common mistake, like how everyone mispronounces certain words you see in the papers every single day. Anyway, it's also a singer (you know, the suffix thing where you change the ending for gender...)

But seriously... prep school! You learn all sorts of random stuff there. Like those specific punctuation marks or whatever.

np Angels of Light - evangeline
Steve Wynn - Amphetamine

Chuck Berry - Slow Down Little Jaguar

And if you're seriously looking to wreck a car—like Kevin Chavez3 was saying, combined with some Zeko energy and maybe a T-500🙂

watched them last year and it seriously drove me nuts—they completely blanked on the fact they had songs from before '96, even though some 😁 kept trying to remind them about it

Heh, truth is I actually know one of them pretty well.
Anyway, you could maybe give them credit for this first part. But the rest? Honestly, the Avila crew hasn't exactly come up with anything brilliant lately. 🙂

Tupac II said:What's the deal with the DJs in Cleveland?

I heard they kill it on Saturdays at Boeing 🙂

All jokes aside, I'm with you on everything.

A couple of guys, some dogs barking in the background, and yeah—urban. Honestly, there's way too little going on to even call it a "scene."
As for those bands trying to be the next Smiths or U2? Absolute trash. I've rarely seen such a massive amount of posers, pure pathos, and fake intellectualism anywhere else. Maybe in Britpop, but that's about it.

Listen, you budala, it’s more like true black metal versus different flavors of trash based on who’s got the better drummer—especially when you look at rock versus electronic stuff.

Anyway, this afro 🙂 guy is freaking incredible!
