That typhoon footage is terrifying in The World Around Us ·
Just saw a video of scaffolding getting ripped right off a building in Hong Kong because of Typhoon Noul. It’s crazy how much power these storms have once they hit land. Does anyone else feel like these super typhoons are getting more frequent lately?

Where do I even start with this🙂
Yesterday at Walmart, the summer crowds were absolutely insane. Being seven months along, I spotted that big sign stating that pregnant women and people with disabilities get priority. Naturally, I headed toward one of the registers and politely asked the cashier if pregnant women were given precedence. She just gave me this cold, blank stare and snapped, "Why specifically at this register?" When I asked her which one I should use then, she just shrugged and said, "I don't know, go ask someone else." I was absolutely livid, and honestly, pretty embarrassed by the crowd watching me like I was some kind of zoo exhibit. So, I just gave up and joined the regular line.
This is exactly why women will never run the world. If this is how women treat one another, imagine what the rest of the world is like.

On another note, I’ve only gained about 9 pounds in seven months—probably due to the stress of moving, wedding planning, and everything else going on. Now, everyone has suddenly decided to act concerned and starts shaking their heads at me. I don't see how helpful that is; I've seen people gain 35, 40, or even 45 pounds. If my OB-GYN isn't worried, why is everyone else acting like there's a crisis?

Look, if you had gained more, they'd be lecturing you about how it's not healthy and how hard it'll be to lose the weight later... etc., etc.
You can't win. 🙄

Even though I feel nauseous, I can't seem to stop snacking just to keep from throwing up constantly. And look where that's getting me. Now I'm just hungry all the time! 🙂

I went through the exact same thing. Honestly, my appetite was all over the place at first, but things eventually settled down. These days, I’m actually eating about half as much as I was during those early months of pregnancy.
Keep it chill. No stress. 🙂
Where do you guys buy your vitamins? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
First off, what’s the deal with wanting to chug all those vitamins? Who actually told you that you need them or that it's even safe to go that hard?

Ashley Fowler87 said:Hey guys, I could really use some advice. I just started working out, and even though I’m super skinny, I’ve got this little belly sticking out that’s driving me crazy. A few months back, I picked up some liquid supplement, and I’m wondering what exactly it is and if it’s actually safe to drink. The label says "CARNITINE LIQUID (100% USP L-Carnitine Supplement)." Any ideas? Thanks!

As usual, Tvuk is spot on—that stuff is basically throwing money down the drain. Plus, why even stress your system out with random supplements you don't need?
My two cents: since you mentioned you're thin, you might just have weak core muscles. You should probably focus on full-body workouts and definitely make sure you're hitting those abs. Also, if you're skinny but still seeing belly fat, what's your diet looking like? Usually, that little pouch comes from eating too many simple carbs, so maybe try bumping up your protein intake daily.
And honestly, are you even sure you have a belly? Sometimes we just get stuck in our own heads about it.

Steven Lopez35 is my buddy—just look up the info online. Put in a little effort, man; there are endless charts and tables all over the web. But my real question for you is: how often are you eating fried food? That stuff is a total calorie bomb and offers zero nutritional value.

jadetiger962 said:If you're hitting that right after a workout, it's fine, though honestly, grabbing something a bit more substantial might be the better move.

Like what, though?
I usually just grab some eggs, cottage cheese, or a can of tuna when I need something quick.

Sam Roberts said:Eating bananas at night? Not happening for me unless it's right after a workout. And mixing protein into yogurt? Honestly, that sounds pretty solid 😁

I actually think that's a great idea 😳 😬
Obviously, I'm just talking about having a banana after hitting the gym, so no biggie 😉

jadetiger962, I’d love to get your take on something. I’ve been using Dymatize All Natural Elite Whey in vanilla. It’s sweetened with stevia, which is huge for me since I try to stay far away from artificial sweeteners whenever possible. Just a bit of context: I’m a woman, and I hit the gym six days a week—three of those sessions are runs. I usually mix my protein into some yogurt with a banana in the evening. Any advice? Am I doing this right, or am I totally off base? Thnx
