I’m just sitting here waiting... and waiting... but that nose isn't getting any more upturned, period. I'm holding out for results, but since the doctor said the shape would stay the same... I guess that means it won't get that lift I wanted. And I paid a fortune for that specific look.😢
And honestly, it’s not even straight. It doesn't even look like I went to a plastic surgeon—which was my whole point. It's been nearly two months now, so I probably shouldn't even hold out hope that things will change.
I look exactly the same as I did before. What’s worse is that my partner's parents finally came to see me after the surgery yesterday, and they just hovered around my nose staring like idiots, only to conclude: "Honestly, nothing changed. That doctor probably made more money off you than anyone else."
So, yeah, I guess I can say that really pissed me off.😠😠🙂

Thanks, Noah Moore4!🙂

@stormyharbor2/">@@stormyharbor2: Hey, girl... I honestly can't believe it. I showed up to work yesterday for the first time since my surgery—sporting the new nose—and this one coworker was totally disappointed! He actually goes, "Didn't I tell you not to mess with your face? You used to be a total knockout, now you're just... nothing."
It kind of implies that I had much more striking features before, and now everyone thinks I've just "lost" myself... like I'm not even me anymore! Hahaha, I find the whole thing pretty funny, though. 🤣
I thought of you immediately!

Kimmy is an absolute queen... just stunning. But I guess Angelin is pretty gorgeous too, especially with that nose of hers... hehehe

YES! I was actually impressed by Dr. Ostojic right from the start. I guess I just felt that immediate "click" and knew I was in the right place. His website helped too; seeing his work made me feel pretty confident about the choice. I'm just hoping my nose ends up looking as small as the others he's done... I'd be thrilled if that happens.😍🎉
stormyharbor2 said:That’s exactly what I said.

You’d probably be an ideal patient... you aren't too demanding. Personally, I think I’m a nightmare to work with because my expectations are usually unrealistic and I'm such a perfectionist.
I guess you'll just be happy enough knowing you aren't asking for anything too much or too flashy... meanwhile, I have this thing for small, subtle noses, which isn't really realistic for me.
Megan Moore76 said:John Newman2, I guess it’s hard to tell just from a profile shot how a nose fits a face, or if the old one actually looked better than the new one. You really need to see the whole face 😉. But the new nose definitely looks more balanced and aesthetically pleasing.

Well, obviously... though—I have to admit—there was a moment where I caught myself in the mirror and didn't even recognize the person looking back. I felt like I'd lost my identity, or maybe just became a bit featureless. My old nose had this certain sharpness, a bit of edge... now everything feels kind of "soft."
Anyway, I know I'll look better once everything settles and I finally put some makeup on.
@stormyharbor2/">@@stormyharbor2, haha, where on earth do you find these emojis? I'm actually dying here.

I guess you just decided that nose looks better on me. It kind of reminds me of those girls who want plastic surgery but are terrified they'll "lose themselves" or "lose their identity"... honestly, what a joke.
Personally, I was kind of hoping that would happen to me—since I've always wanted to be someone else entirely.
If only it didn't have that little bump—maybe shorter, with a slightly upturned tip.

*woodworking*

But stormyharbor2, isn't that exactly what a nose "without the little bump, shorter and with an upturned tip" would look like?🤣
Megan Moore76 said:I definitely prefer the new look over the old one! It looks smaller and much cuter 😁 Once the swelling goes down, I bet it'll look even better. And since you, John Newman2, know exactly why you went through with this and what bothered you about the old nose, there shouldn't be any regrets!

Thanks again for sharing the photos! 🙂

No problem! 🙂
If I had to mention one thing I'm worried about right now... one girl told me that when I post my before-and-after shots, she thinks the bridge of my nose might sink down by at least 5 mm. I really don't want that to happen; I'm just afraid it'll end up looking too long, and I felt like my nose was already on the longer side. I'm just hoping I won't end up with a huge bump once all this swelling finally settles down!!!
rustygardener172 said:I thought your old nose was perfectly fine too, honestly. I guess yours just looks a little more polished now. 😁

I guess you have to wonder if it was actually worth all that money.🙄

I guess if you've spent your whole life wanting a different nose, you might as well just go ahead and get it. 😁
If anyone ever asks me what my most expensive possession is, I’ll probably just tell them: my nose.
I guess I'm starting to get self-conscious about my thin lips now. I really want to get them fuller, but honestly, the thought of getting lip injections gives me the creeps.😲

I guess our Dottyika prefers my old nose instead, hahaha, I can't believe it!!!🤣
Honestly, stormyharbor2, I think rustygardener172 made a good point. A few other ladies on here were telling me to just walk away and not take any risks, but I guess I stayed true to myself and my decision, which turned out to be the right call anyway.
As for the photos, sure—just send me your email.
I just wanted to say one thing to anyone who picks a surgeon, only to go online later and find people trashing them, which leads to total panic and second-guessing... my little piece of advice would be: TRUST YOURSELF!!! Listen to your own gut and instinct rather than all the hearsay out there.
I mean, you can probably tell for yourself if a doctor actually earns your trust or not.

I wouldn't say I fainted from beauty when I saw myself without the bandages. I just thought, "I look like Nellie the Elephant." I know some girls here mentioned crying because they felt their noses looked like piggies, but that wasn't really my experience. I feel more like an elephant, and honestly, I’d much rather be a piggy.
Anyway, I don't think it's the doctor's fault; the truth is I'm just incredibly swollen, and maybe my expectations were a bit unrealistic to begin with. From what I can see, the doctor stuck to our plan and respected everything we discussed, so once the swelling goes down, it should be fine. Until then, I guess I'll just keep shouting:

Go Away!! 😳
@Gregory Barnes5, thanks for asking about my nose 🙂
I'm keeping up with you guys and reading everything, don't worry
As for my surgery—it's pretty much done, I had the mold removed today
How did this thread suddenly jump to 160 pages? I thought it was only around 80 last time I checked.😕
Men aren't usually that nitpicky—they just don't get it (unless they're Fashion Cat, LOL). Everyone I know seemed shocked that I even wanted Rhinoplasty; my male colleagues kept saying, "Don't do it, your nose is fine." But honestly, I never had a sister-Helga nose to begin with. As for the surgeons, I once saw a guy who went to Glumičić with a totally grotesque nose, and he turned out looking perfect—the guy’s basically a model now!
