Hey everyone!
Here's another bright red 😉 !

So, I'm 28 years old, and honestly, for as long as I can remember, my face has always had this redness. It’s usually just a mild flush, but it flares up instantly whenever there's a sudden temperature change, if I'm exercising, when things get awkward, or even just when it gets hot outside.
Back when I was a kid, I saw a bunch of different doctors about it, and the last time I actually dealt with it—maybe ten years ago—I went to see a dermatologist (I think it was over at the Mayo Clinic) who looked at me like I had just landed from another planet 😁. Even they couldn't really figure out how to help; all they did was prescribe some facial cream that I used for a while, but it didn't really do much. So, I eventually just accepted it and lived with it until now.
On top of that, I used to struggle with my weight too, weighing in at 125 kg 😁, and I’d been smoking since I was fifteen, which probably made the redness even worse due to my blood pressure.
Over time, I managed to "slim down" quite a bit and I'm down to 95 kg now, plus I quit smoking two years ago.
Since then, the constant flushing has subsided a lot, though there are still those moments where I suddenly "glow" and turn into Marvel 😁.
Basically, as long as I'm not stressed or doing heavy physical activity, I look like any other regular guy, and—not to brag, mind you 😁—but people tell me I'm actually pretty good-looking.

The thing is, as most people here probably know, living like this isn't easy. People are constantly questioning you, asking stuff like, "Are you okay? What's going on with your face? Why are you so red? Look at this guy, he looks drunk!" 😁 and so on. Over the years, that’s left its own kind of "internal scars," like bouts of low self-esteem and feeling like you're worth less than others... But hey 🙂, I'm still here and breathing 🙂, and thank God I don't have any other health issues besides this one 🙂.

Now, I wanted to ask you guys something...
In the last month or so, the whole thing has started bothering me again, so I began Googling things online to see if there's anything new regarding this topic...
I stumbled upon the Mayo Clinic and their LASER REMOVAL FOR FACIAL REDNESS AND CAPILLARIES .
I went ahead and booked a consultation for the afternoon of March 17th, 2016.
I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with these types of treatments? Did their condition actually improve or get cleared up entirely? If anyone knows anything about this, I would truly appreciate any details you could share!
Thanks in advance!

If someone from Canada were to mail me a used graphics card—complete with an invoice and the warranty included—and they're selling it to me for about $833 including the shipping costs (let's say it's sent via COD), would I end up having to pay any extra fees on top of that, and if so, how much?
I'm mostly asking because it involves another country...

Thanks!

Does anyone know?
I really need to figure this out before I pull the trigger...
Hey there!

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with a quick question. Say someone from Canada decides to sell me a used graphics card—they’ve got the receipt and the warranty ready to go—and they're offering it for $833 including the shipping costs (let's say it's sent via standard mail). Would I end up having to pay any extra fees on top of that, and if so, does anyone know roughly how much?
The reason I'm asking is just because it's coming from another country...

Thanks so much!

Personally, I tend to stick with Adobe Photoshop.
It’s just the most reliable option out there—really intuitive and easy to navigate when you actually want to get things done.

Ah, okay, thanks for clearing that up!

I know I might be coming off a bit nitpicky here, but I really don't want to end up dropping money on the wrong part, so I appreciate you looking out for me—and hey, if I run into any more snags down the road, I might have to bug you again.🙂
Anyway, thanks a ton!👍

or just a standard Sapphire card

So, I'm looking at these two and I can't tell if they're actually the same thing or if there's some catch I'm missing.
Which one should I pull the trigger on?

I honestly don't see the difference between them.
If you have a second, could you maybe drop a link to a better comparison or something?

Alright, thanks so much! 👍
Kyle Sanchez4 said:Go ahead and grab that Corsair 400 CX power supply along with the Radeon HD 4890

If you can't find that specific Corsair model, honestly, just head over to the stickied PSU thread and take a look at what else is out there...

Oh, one more thing—could you do me a favor and double-check the exact full model name of that graphics card? From what I've noticed, there are actually quite a few different versions of the Radeon HD 4890 floating around, and I want to make sure we're looking at the right one.
Alright, thanks so much for everything! 👍
Kyle Sanchez4 said:Honestly, Walter James, you don't even need 2GB with the resolution you're running at.

Well, I finally got my hands on the power supply. So, what's the final verdict here?
Kyle Sanchez4 said:How on earth are you planning to swap out a graphics card without actually opening up the case?

Given how your build is set up, I honestly suspect someone might have cut corners with a cheap power supply, so if I were you, I’d look into a different solution entirely.

Well, if I'm going to swap the GPU, I'll just drop the whole rig off at an authorized service center so they can handle the installation for me—I still have the warranty, after all.
You mentioned recommending a different route, so what are your thoughts on this?

I’ll be honest, I’m a little out of my depth when it comes to these kinds of topics, which is why I’m reaching out to see if anyone can lend a hand.🤷🙂
The real headache here is that I have no clue where to actually check the power supply specs; I’ve looked everywhere, even through all my paperwork, and there’s just nothing listed... 😕

And honestly, I'm really hesitant to crack the case open since the whole rig is still under warranty for another year.😢

I mean, it doesn't seem that far from me at all. I'm living in NYC while he's out in Columbus, and he's mentioning Novo Brdo.
Thanks, I think I'll give that a shot too.
Thanks so much, I actually just suggested that exact idea to him. Now we'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out... 😢
So, about a week ago, I sent off a package weighing roughly 11 or 12 pounds via COD, and the total amount including shipping came out to $75.
The thing is, the recipient still hasn't received it, even though I'm absolutely certain I wrote down the correct address.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this delay? Has anyone else dealt with something similar lately? I'm honestly at a bit of a loss here—what should my next move be? 😢

Thanks so much.

Thanks so much, everyone! I finally picked up two 1 GB sticks of Crucial RAM to finish my upgrade, and man, it made a world of difference—my computer is running smooth as silk now!😁😁😁

Oh, awesome!
I was looking closely at those two options you mentioned, but neither one actually specifies the pin count in the description.
Does anyone here happen to know the specs on these?
