The Partisans are on the hunt again in Close to Politics ·
silenthawk11 said:Partisans - Forest bandits 🙂 🙂 🙂

😵 😁

Calling them "forest bandits" is a joke... if they were such tough guys, why did they have to flee all the way to the States just to stay out of reach of the law? 😂

Arthur Martinez7 said:Look, just come back to the States and try working for $1667, then you'll realize that worrying about some outdated political nonsense 😁 isn't even on the radar. [/B]

Money isn't actually the main issue for these expats—you know, those folks who moved from the old territories over to Germany. If cash were the only thing, they'd be moving back home already, but instead, they're still stuck harping on about those old partisan ideologies. 😁

Fear makes people see things that aren't there. They're acting like total sheep. 😁

I mean, the partisans managed to kick them out once before, and they’ll do it again. They should just pack up and head back to Germany to find Vuca.

Michael Sullivan3 is just used to nodding along and shouting, "Jack, Jack, absolutely, of course, naturally, whatever you say, sir!" 😁

Michael Sullivan3 said:Man, thanks a lot, Josip Broz Marshall, and thanks to all you partisans too. There are still over 70,000 of them scattered across America.

And that number just keeps climbing. You really stepped in it this time, Michael Sullivan3. Looks like you're stuck being an immigrant worker forever. You'll probably spend the rest of your life shouting "Jack, Jack" just to get by. You're never gonna see the light of day. 😁

Why do you even care? You checked out and moved to the suburbs ages ago.

I haven't really noticed, honestly, but it seems like you certainly have... which says a lot about you. 😂
Man, honestly, there are just a few of you propagandists hanging around the internet. If anyone is actually paying you to do this, they're basically throwing money straight into the trash because your little spin is so transparent and useless.
Bradley Wells4 said:Unlike you lot, who all huddle together defending leftists like Arafat, Saddam, Stalin, or Zarqawi—people who aren't actually committing crimes, they're just fighting FOR FREEDOM AND THEIR PEOPLE!

Oh, please! Yeah, here we go. Another thing about you right-wingers is that you start lying the second you open your mouths, but you aren't even good at it. You're calling Arafat and Saddam "leftists"? Man, if you were standing in front of me right now, I'd spit in your face for being such a pathological liar. Honestly, you're right up there with those neo-conservatives trying to make Draza look like some kind of hero. Let's see what kind of nonsense you come up with next, you little liar.
shadowjackal88 said:I’m probably going to ruin the vibe here by asking a question that’s basically impossible to answer lately: what even defines the Left versus the Right these days?

The real issue with this Reddit thread is how people on the Left just declare themselves as such. They basically self-appoint to that little "Left vs. Right" chart you see in some high school civics textbook from a state college curriculum—I can't remember if it was freshman or sophomore year—and then they try to disqualify anyone who disagrees by slapping them with a "Right-wing" label. It's just them trying to claim both sides of that textbook diagram for themselves 😁.

This so-called Left is actually lightyears away from the rest of the American people... the very people they claim to represent in the first place...

Maybe the reason the Left seems so hard to pin down or feels "self-proclaimed" to you is because you guys on the Right have this habit of swarming around any dictator figure, and that kind of blind loyalty makes it hard to see clearly.

On the other hand, your crowd is incredibly easy to spot. You're defined by that exact behavior—that mob mentality surrounding authoritarian leaders and the constant, stubborn attempts to justify the crimes committed by those leaders and their extremist enforcers. We've seen this movie before.
Larry Castillo66 said:In Gmail, there’s actually an option to leave messages on the server until you manually clear them out of your inbox.

Just stumbled upon that setting.

I don't really use Mozilla, so I wasn't exactly looking for this, but... hey, it's not bad. If they keep working at it, they might actually catch up to the quality of Outlook Express. 😁
Larry Castillo66 said:I just wanted to give a quick shout-out to whoever brought up Gmail first in this thread... you actually got me to try it out. And man, it is seriously fantastic. I’m officially ditching everything else. Why didn't I think of this sooner? It would have saved me so much headache. Honestly, way better than what I was using before with my old setups.

What's better? I've been sticking with my usual stuff too.

Now I'm actually curious. 😁
Adam Wright56 said:Tito Puente! 😵 You’re just impossible to argue with.

Let me break down exactly why this is such a mess:

I’m running two different ISPs—mostly using NSF for about 90% of my web surfing, and then switching over to Comcast on those rare occasions when NSF starts acting up (which happens way more than it should). And honestly, I'm just relieved whenever I actually manage to get online at all.

On top of that, I’ve got an email account through Outlook.

Here’s the problem: when I’m connected via NSF, I can't send emails through the Comcast server, and vice versa. Since the NSF mail server glitches out so frequently, it is absolutely CRITICAL for me to have at least one other reliable outgoing server available... right? 😉

But Bird only lets me set up one.

To me, it feels like a massive oversight that the developers didn't make it possible to juggle 100 different accounts with 100 different connections. It's a huge gap in the software.

Well, in those 10% of cases where you're stuck, you could always just try sending the post through a browser.
silentharbor88 said:You can totally do that in Bird too.

The main point being suggested here is that you should probably just stick to using one.

Other than that, everything you guys mentioned works fine for me. The only thing that isn't working is that one link with the extra comma in it, but honestly, I'd bet my life it wouldn't work in Opera or Internet Explorer either.

Doesn't matter. Either way, it shows the exact same address as the sender.
Adam Wright56 said:Maybe I’m just being dense and missing something obvious, but honestly, if I spend half an hour digging through settings and still can't figure out how to set up two different email accounts—each with its own specific incoming and outgoing servers—then there’s something seriously broken with the software. It shouldn't be this hard to find the most basic settings.👎

You can actually have as many accounts as you want in Opera, even with totally different outgoing servers. Though, personally, I don't see why anyone would need more than one.
Best way to print to PDF? in Software ·
This might sound like a bit of a silly question, but why aren't we using JPG, GIF, or even BMP? With those formats, you actually have some control over the dimensions and contrast of the print, which is huge when you're getting plates made for printing. Plus, they're universal. PDF just feels... I don't know, messy and blurry to me.
Best way to print to PDF? in Software ·
Wouldn't it be way easier if you just printed it straight from a design program? You know, somewhere where you can actually play around with the contrast and get the sizing right before you hit print.

What I mean is... why does it absolutely have to be a PDF?
driftingnomad68 said:Yeah, and Opera won't even load nytimes.com 😬😂

Look, you're telling me Opera can't handle it? It's supposed to be one of the top browsers, yet it fails on a site like The New York Times? I just clicked it and I was right there.

Here's the proof. 😁
The New York Times reports:
Americans are obsessed with sex toys

From Vibrators and Japanese massage beads to artificial vaginas and dolls, along with aphrodisiacs and various other sexual stimulants, these items are becoming increasingly common in the average American household. Even though they own them, Americans often feel a sense of shame regarding such an unconventional—and, let's face it, taboo—detail. As a result, sex toys are typically purchased with extreme discretion...
