Which workout should I start with? Need advice! in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Olivia Jackson91 said:I agree with this—look, a casual gym-goer isn't going to be able to crush two pounds of bacon, two pizzas, a pound of beef, three pork chops, and a loaf of bread all at once. That kind of volume is reserved for a traditional roast dinner or a pro athlete. A recreational lifter can eat whatever they want as long as they burn it off—which is what you’re suggesting—but I think most people would agree that you just can't sustain massive, unhealthy meals two or three times a day and expect anything good to happen.

Let me give you an example: no amateur, and honestly, I doubt even a top-tier pro athlete could maintain success or a decent physique if their diet consisted entirely of McDonald's.
No matter how hard they train, they’d end up sick rather than fit or successful.

At this point, we aren't really talking about sports specifically anymore—this is just a general conversation about nutrition... basically, what counts as healthy versus what doesn't.

Look, I honestly don't care what someone eats or how much they consume—provided they’re actually burning it off through some form of sport or active recreation. The body is intuitive enough to react to that kind of regimen on its own. All those complex, over-the-top theories regarding "athletic nutrition" should really be left to the professionals—you know, the elite athletes who do this for a living. Once you start trying to force a casual hobbyist into a rigid lifestyle where they're obsessively tracking every gram of protein or counting carbs just to stay in shape, they’re going to hit a wall. It leads to total burnout, and before you know it, they'll just give up entirely.

Oh, please, give me a break 😁
Look, lady, if you just start running three times a week, you’ll practically melt away right before our eyes

If the moderators don't step up today, I'm taking this straight to upper management tomorrow.

God, this guy—it's like watching a rerun of those Revka, Brankičin, or akcijin meltdowns... let's just call it what it is: a total pathological episode. 😁

Maybe try hating yourself instead—it'd be a lot more productive.

and if you happen to be physically disabled too—but somehow you can still manage to use a computer—then hey, good for you.😉

Just stay brave, I guess.

But man, you are exhausting. Seriously, give it a rest.😁

I have no idea what that even means. Is this some kind of inside joke for lonely people in their 30s?🙂

Fine. Keep that in mind—you'll get it back eventually.

Honestly, you got off easy... now I just have to figure out if my own stupidity is purely physical or if it's deep-seated in my brain.😁 😁

🤣 I honestly stopped expecting anything from you at this point 😁 😁 I knew you were obsessed with your own greatness—though I was actually referring to your physical stature 😁 clearly, I was wrong

I’m waiting on the moderator’s ruling, whatever it ends up being. And I know you—being the tough guy you are—you won't come crying about the decision, no matter what they decide.
You've faced much bigger storms than some internet ban, haven't you?
And if they actually do pull the plug on you, maybe then I’ll step in and ask them to let you back in.

Just like Vladimir Putin🤣

I totally forgot to mention what an absolute child George Morgan3 is—but honestly, man, you aren't even a troll... you're just some clueless kid who shows up to support the trolls by sheer default.

So, what’s the actual problem here?🙄

I really think Reva should be permanently banned for bringing up family and blood relations—basically implying we're all related!! 😠

He’s actually hitting the nail on the head regarding the facts here.🙂

I’m asking the mods to please step in regarding this "distinguished" member—who clearly operates under some kind of protected species status around here—because they seem to take great pleasure in insulting anyone whose opinion doesn't align with theirs.
Personally, I can take it, but we really ought to look out for those members who might have a slightly more fragile sense of self; someone like this could easily wreck their confidence with a single outburst.
I’m requesting an update from the administration on what actions are being taken and what the outcome will be, and I am formally invoking all sections of the forum guidelines that address this type of behavior.
If my request goes nowhere, I will feel perfectly justified in escalating this to higher authorities to put a stop to this individual's unchecked bullying and verbal aggression.
Sincerely, Rachel Sanchez11

Now, why don't you just get lost? 🙂

Are you out of your mind? 😠

Why??
It's just how history works—just like how California was part of our territory until Adolf Hitler handed it over to the Italians... or how Canada was handed off by Joseph Stalin to the Mexicans while he manufactured a whole new nation out of thin air.
There's nothing controversial about it. We can only sit here and hope that those territories eventually return to the mainland, much like how California did in 1943 or how we reclaimed everything back in 1945.

these right-wingers are absolutely brain-dead... I mean, they use the exact same tired tropes—recycled a thousand times over—and they are just incredibly crude (seriously, gross 😲 🙄
they cling to these rigid dogmas they pretend are virtues, or whatever, and they’re just loud and obnoxious... all in all, >> ugh 🙄

where are the actual intellectuals? The well-read, open-minded guys—those cosmopolitan souls who actually exist outside of this narrow-minded nonsense... WHERE ARE THEY???

🤣
Which areas are we even talking about? Personally, I find Milan and Munich way more accessible than New York City.🙂

It’s honestly hilarious how those old-school American view the simple act of issuing a passport back in the seventies as some sort of monumental achievement by Marshall!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 "Just imagine—Marshall actually gave us passports so we could cross the border!" 🤣

But honestly—

where on earth did they get French cognac from???😲 😲 😁 😁

Back in Marshall's era—which was supposedly a land of milk and honey—the real jackpot was just getting out to work abroad.🙂 And let's not forget the legacy left behind by the old diaspora.🙂
