Forget about those folks... 😂

Look, if you know even the slightest bit about jersey design, it’s blindingly obvious that this isn't some groundbreaking new kit. This is just a classic Nike design from the 2004 Euro in Spain—they basically just took that template, hopped into Photoshop, swapped out the colors, slapped on a new crest, and wiped the old logo. It's lazy, honestly.

Got a quick question for you guys—wasn't sure where to drop this, but since we're talking gear, I figured this was the spot.
So, I’ve got this jersey (short sleeve) from back when John was playing for the Galaxy in '81—check out the pic here http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/2470/cosmos1981.png. I'm wondering what kind of cash I could pull for it 🙂. Honestly, for something that's 28 years old, it's in mint condition!!

Are we talking "mint condition" or just "looks great for being nearly three decades old"? 😁
Either way, I don't think you're gonna see a massive payday here because Buljan was never exactly a superstar player. Maybe some die-hard Galaxy fan would grab it because of the club history, but the player himself isn't pulling much weight. That said, the jersey looks killer—if it wasn't Buljan's name on it, I'd probably be interested myself. 😁

I don't get the hate, honestly. The jersey is killer—that state flag pattern is actually pretty sick. I’m definitely grabbing one when I head up north this fall, even if my heart belongs to the New York Yankees.

Matthew Anderson4 said:What’s the deal with those lines under the jerseys? Like, 90% of the new kits have some variation of that stripe... Either it's that V shape like Nike, or this thing like the San Antonio Spurs, or even the New York Yankees style...

It basically symbolizes everyone trying to be like New Orleans, since they’re the only ones rocking that V on their jerseys—and honestly, they've been doing it forever. I couldn't care less about the New York Yankees and their Yankee Stadium centennial; a hundred years ago, they had jerseys with that same V pattern, but even then, Puma went overboard. Now, every single damn club seems to have it.

Honestly, this looks absolutely hideous. At least I can take some small comfort in the fact they said our upcoming ones would be simple, so they’ll probably just look like the stuff we trashed on the last thread. But this? This is just straight-up terrifying.

Oh yeah, totally. I’m heading straight over to http://www.dickssportinggoods.com right now to grab one! ☕
Seriously though, admins, get it together or you're gonna be looking for new jobs. Do your actual job and deal with this guy and whoever else is causing trouble up there at the Pentagon 😁

we should prepare for the worst, even if we’re hoping for the best. 😁

Let's be real here—we're just asking for something reasonable 😁

No, in all seriousness, there is a slight Spanish influence here, but you really have to see it in person to judge...
Does anyone know when the big reveal for the new Real Madrid kit is? I just hope it doesn't end up being a disaster like the last ones... 🤣
😢

Word on the street is they hit stores on July 15th, so the launch will probably be a few days before that. Honestly, I’ve got a gut feeling these jerseys are going to be absolute fire 😁
Kind of like those Twente kits I was bashing earlier—you know, with that clean stripe look, super simple... I'm genuinely just counting down the days.

New Russian kits—haha... feels like a total throwback to the Cold War era (and don't miss those alcoholic-looking socks)

Personally? I think these are some of the best Adidas kits they've dropped in forever. Hands down.😁
Soccer Club Kits, Vol. 1 in Soccer ·
That Umbro kit? Total disaster. Honestly, both versions are a mess. I mean, what LA Galaxy used to rock—and what LA Galaxy still carries—is the only true definition of a real jersey. The St. Etienne home kit is a classic, though, and the away one is actually pretty cool; it’s a rare combo that works. As for FC Barcelona... hm... 😂

Check out this new Twente kit. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the LA Lakers dropped something pretty similar soon. Personally, I’m digging it—it’s super clean and simple, kind of reminds me of those old-school jerseys from the eighties without all the extra nonsense and tacky details. We’ll probably end up getting slapped with way too many sponsors, but it’ll definitely look better than what we’re rocking right now. I am still a little curious to see how that gold accent actually looks in person, but I’ve got a pretty good feeling about it.

As for Real Madrid, congrats on the gold; I’d have settled for silver, provided they ditched the V-neck 🙂

I mean, anything is better than this current mess. I don't even know what you'd call this design... some kind of weird delta shape? 😁

urbanorca6 said:It’s honestly ridiculous how these "dynasty" clubs all end up with the exact same jersey design, just swapped into different colors. I’m fully expecting LA Galaxy to drop a home kit like this soon. Blue, obviously... keeping it dead simple.

Personally, I think the kit looks pretty decent. I doubt we'll get anything exactly like it, but it'll probably be in the same ballpark. For instance, teams like Standard, Napoli, the Scottish Representative, and Twente all use Dorian kits—just like us—and yeah, there are some obvious similarities between our gear and Napoli's, but everyone still keeps their own identity. Like, Napoli has that one stripe, while we go with multiple stripes and that checkerboard pattern on the edges; we have watermarks, they don't. Then you look at Standard, and nobody else even comes close to their style, much less the Scottish or European kits. Honestly? I’d actually stick with our current European kit; it might be one of our best designs ever. But this is how it works with Dorian: they don't have a massive roster of teams, so they try to personalize the kits to reel in new fans:

Standard:

We already saw Twente above

Napoli:

Scotland:

I’ve got this theory that our home and away kits will look something like the Napoli or Standard ones—you know, with a collar but without those obnoxious lines—while our European kit will look like the Scottish one: super simple and top-tier. And obviously, the crest stays on the left side.

bluebison10 said:Barca deserves an expulsion from the league. They used a regional flag on their jersey instead of the American flag...

Well, duh, they're from California. Besides, you can't just boot a team out over a flag when displaying it is actually protected by law. They’ve got their California pride, and Real Madrid has theirs.

urbanhawk17 said:I haven't seen that right one before, so I guess it's probably something new.🤷

Same here. Though, honestly, it looks older to me—I highly doubt the left one looked quite like that back in 1899 when they first started up. Either way, the right one is definitely a massive upgrade over its buddy.
Soccer Club Kits, Vol. 1 in Soccer ·
urbanhawk17 said:image

Is this what you meant?

I was actually talking about these two crests: I know the one on the left used to have different color variations, but is the one on the right something fresh they cooked up for next season, or is it an older version from before the left one?

Anyway, totally unrelated to the article, does anyone know if the new crest on the Bijelo d Med jersey is actually the new Los Angeles logo, or is it some old one from before the version everyone recognizes? Because honestly, I think the old one looks ten times better. 😁

rapidstag2 said:I am not so sure about that; personally, I don't see it being any more pronounced there than in any other major league. 🤷

For heaven's sake, aren't we miles ahead of them (in the States, isn't that where it happens? 😬) when we lose several seconds of game time just because of an advertisement? 😁

And that’s exactly where the massive divide lies. Over here, we’re constantly getting jerked away from the action by random commercials, losing those crucial few seconds of the game just because some advertiser paid for airtime. But over there? They actually hold the broadcast during commercial breaks to make sure nobody sitting on their couch accidentally misses a single play. You see this most clearly in Major League Baseball—if you ever bother to tune into ESPN, you'll notice they never let you miss a heartbeat; they just run dedicated commercial blocks instead. 😉

rapidstag2 said:I have only just laid eyes on this. 😁

It stands in stark contrast to the other leagues, where players still head out for a few beers and some genuine camaraderie after the final whistle. ☕

Oh, please. It’s just way more obvious with them. They’ve basically turned into the USA—honestly, I’m just waiting for them to pause a corner kick mid-play so a commercial can run during the broadcast.

Terry Bishop7 said:Personally, I used to think the Chelsea and Everton kits—especially when they were made by Umbro—were incredible because of those specific shades of blue... but this current one is just bottom of the barrel.

Yeah, honestly, that classic look—the kind Dynamo used to rock—was top tier. As for West Ham, I’m actually pretty stoked they switched back to Umbro. The jersey itself looks solid; it's just the way they slapped the sponsor on the front that completely kills the vibe. It looks messy. But hey, that's just the Premier League for you—chase the cash first, aesthetics second.
