Tyler Bishop56 said:Where on earth is an old lady from a small town getting that kind of cash? Besides, our jails are already packed to the brim anyway. Just another law that’s basically impossible to enforce.

Then again, she doesn't have the money, but she's got her life. You want to see someone acting high and mighty? Well, there you go. 🙂 :baba:

If we did things that way, we'd also shrink the retiree population—you know, the group that acts like a total drag on this country's progress. They just eat, burn through prescriptions, leave trash everywhere, shove people around on the subway, and do nothing but trample over every flower in sight.

👍
How are we even supposed to handle this? Look, you absolute legends, Man, they really haven't even thought about this—like, wouldn't it be awesome if they actually let women get into growing those protected species just to give them a little nudge and some real incentive to start?
Let them go ahead and stick their heads out of the window if they want to, but I'm telling you right now—it's definitely not the grandmas doing the heavy lifting anymore! 😁
Noah Cruz75 said:People think they'll get eternal life if they just believe. But they don't even grasp what this life is actually for, let alone what comes next. They don't even have a clue what "afterlife" or "eternity" really means. This life is short anyway—honestly, you're better off struggling through this one than dealing with whatever's waiting in the next world.

Oh, absolutely. That's exactly why the clergy is always preaching about giving up everything they own. 😁

The only way this actually works is if we see massive support from the working class and the leftists. 🙂

Steven Allen9 said:There’s no question about it—Tomašić actually acts like a real representative in the US Congress. She’s out there fighting those weird social trends everyone else ignores, even if it means taking a hit personally.
Even though I don't line up with her politics, I still back her because I'm a staunch libertarian.
Then you've got Lesar in the mix too. That gives us two people who are genuinely dedicated to the people. Like, literally.
Tomašićka doesn't have some fancy house, she isn't living off government perks, and she has zero ties to the Republican Party. She’s got everything it takes to get into the US Congress. Go get 'em, Rose!

👍

exactly right.
The only bright spots in this entire political swamp are Ms. Thomas and Mr. Lesser.
Let’s hope this new wave of the right and left actually flourishes for once.🙂

Matthew Castillo5 said:Personally, I’d go a step further and say we’re living in a kleptocracy (where the people in power are simply the best at stealing) or, to be even more precise, a kakistocracy (rule by the absolute worst).

👍
It's an elite-klepto-kakistocracy, plain and simple.
Democracy is totally dead here.😁

they could go try ruling from Alcatraz for all I care 🤣

It’s because most citizens in America possess a herd mentality—it's always "us" versus "them."

People vote out of pure inertia:

- those who identify as "patriots," conservatives, or right-wingers cast their votes for the Republican Party,
- while those who see themselves as "Americans," leftists, or old-school partisans vote for the Democratic Party;

yet neither side realizes—or perhaps chooses to ignore—that these aren't ideological factions, but rather a clientelist gang fighting solely for their own seats and bank accounts.

How can a conservative justify voting for a party that pushes them toward a supranational superstate designed to strip away sovereignty and erase national and cultural identity?

And how can a leftist support the very same entity, which functions as a dictatorship of big capital, stripping away workers' rights and driving people into debt slavery?

The worst part is hearing people say, "I've voted for the Republican Party (or the Democratic Party) in every election, so I'll do it again." 😠 This isn't like supporting Dinamo or Hajduk where you cheer regardless of the score. This concerns your life and the future of your children. If you have concluded they are thieves, punish them at the ballot box.

Democracy isn't perfect, but it’s still the best system we've got.

What you and your crowd are really looking for is a nationalist dictatorship, but let's be real: that's never going to happen. ☕

Just one tiny correction here—you're actually living in an elitocracy right now.
It's a pretty small distinction, really. 🤣

Nah, let's be real, we actually live in an elitocracy where the real power is held by—well, by their specific electoral laws. 😁

Yeah, it really is, unfortunately.

Greed should be illegal in Close to Politics ·
Greed is always fundamentally illegal at its core because it inevitably drags a trail of criminal behavior right along with it, and honestly, once that happens, it just becomes this massive engine that starts tearing down the very fabric of our society, or even civilization itself.
