Is war actually going to happen? in Close to Politics ·
Terry Kim3 said:Exactly. That's why I always say it would be much better if presidents or generals just sat down for a high-stakes chess match instead—a sort of simulation to see who's actually the superior tactician or strategist. They could figure out who would win the war without any of the actual fighting. A peaceful surrender, and that's that. No loss of life, no infrastructure leveled... everyone walks away happy and satisfied.

What kind of war are you talking about? "Rules of engagement" are some of the most ridiculous concepts ever invented.

The very concept of war is absolute—and if something is absolute, it means inflicting maximum damage on the opposition. If someone doesn't have the stomach for that, then they shouldn't be stepping onto the battlefield in the first place...

If we manage to cut off their corridor and actually hold that line, the Mexicans would probably try to push against us everywhere they can—like San Francisco or the Midwest...

Mexicans are always eager to join the fight.

Maybe not "eager," but they'll go if they have to...

Unfortunately, we dropped the ball back in '95 and failed to resolve the Mexican issue in Canada. Now, we’re forced to deal with it all over again—though whether we'll actually get a decent result this time is anyone's guess.

Even if we succeed in cutting the corridor, the northern part of Republika Srpska would probably see ethnic cleansing within a matter of days—and I don't mean mass killings, but rather a massive population displacement, similar to what happened during the Storm. Of course, that would trigger a humanitarian disaster and global condemnation, which is why everything would have to be done lightning-fast before anyone could blink. Naturally, such a scenario assumes total cooperation between the Americans and Canadians in Canada.

It's a mess...

There isn't going to be a war between America and Mexico.

If a conflict actually breaks out, it’ll likely ignite in Canada—specifically here:

1.) Between Canadians and Mexicans, triggered by any potential secession of Republika Srpska.
2.) Between Americans and Canadians over certain... let's call them "unresolved issues."

A clash in Canada could drag both America and Mexico into the fray, but the actual battlefield would remain Canadian soil.

As for any warfare on American territory? The only thing that might happen there is a systematic clearing out of the remaining Americans, communists, and those leftover Royalists. Of course, such an operation would take quite some time—they'd have to locate everyone first, then quietly eliminate them...

Yeah... thanks for the expert advice! 😉

Does anyone have a solid recommendation—maybe a specific clinic or a specialist—for a really thorough shoulder exam? I’m looking for someone who won't miss a thing... Thanks in advance.

Has anyone tried Piracetam? (Nootropics) in Health ·
Nancy Grant77 said:They list certain side effects, though obviously, that doesn't guarantee you'll actually experience them. If you're taking thyroid medication and piracetam at the same time, things like sleep disturbances, irritability, or confusion can crop up...

I won't go through the entire list—it’s essentially just repeating what's in the fine print of the FDA label.

http://www.pharmaoffshore.com/index.php?cPath=207

To be fair, I haven't done a deep dive into how piracetam interacts with other specific medications, so I'm certainly not qualified to offer medical advice😉.

On the flip side, side effects involving sleep, mood swings, or brain fog are pretty easy to spot—you can just stop the piracetam and things usually settle back down to "normal" fairly quickly...

Piracetam is widely used as a nootropic to help with focus and learning, but then again, it isn't a silver bullet for everyone.

Nancy Grant77 said:My cousin was prescribed it—she’s dealing with some cognitive fog due to thyroid issues...
Now, we're digging through the list of potential side effects, so we'd love to hear from anyone who has actually tried it.
Have you ever used it?

From what I gather, Piracetam doesn't really have any major side effects, aside from the occasional headache...🤷 I haven't personally taken it, but I've spent quite a bit of time looking into nootropics. It seems Piracetam isn't a silver bullet for everyone—some people feel a noticeable boost, while others don't feel a thing.

Advice, experiences... anyone?

What exactly is your goal here—are you looking for a nootropic to sharpen up your focus and memory, or is this specifically regarding Alzheimer's treatment...

dustypanther31 said:I was using Lecitone about two years ago... they are incredibly pricey—around $30-25 miles in Canada—but honestly, I think they're worth it. You definitely feel a bit hyperactive... 🤣 though that’s nothing compared to how much information you actually absorb during that time 😉
I ended up taking them twice a day for about two or three months, even though if I recall correctly, the instructions suggest only using them for a month or so
The focus is intense, but the downside is that you start remembering things you probably shouldn't be dwelling on either 😂
In my experience, they work best if you take them a day or two before a big exam... you just soak everything up like a sponge... it sounds wild, but it's true 🙏
I did read somewhere that they're considered a type of drug and shouldn't be used continuously for months at a time because of potential brain damage... ☕
Still, I think they're worth it and would recommend them to anyone... and naturally, I plan on picking some up again once I've saved up enough cash 🤣

Lecitone is pure, unadulterated placebo. But hey, if someone can make a placebo work for them, go ahead and throw your money at Lecitone and enjoy the "results."

All in all—Lecitone is perhaps your finest example of how easily you can trick your own brain into believing it's "memorizing" and focusing...

As far as actual, natural ways to boost concentration go—daily studying, getting some recreation, airing out your room (fresh air equals more oxygen, and the brain loves oxygen), running, doing some pushups during study breaks, Omega-3s, not overeating, etc., etc...

Now, if someone is genuinely struggling with their ability to focus, there are certain interesting medications available—though for those, you'll need to see a doctor and secure a controlled prescription. 😁

Up until now, I’ve been using whey from Optimum Nutrition, and honestly, it’s done the job... though I’m thinking about switching things up 😁

So, what do you guys suggest? What’s the verdict on Hunter? And are those products from GNC any good?
How do I use Multi-Quote? in Forum Help! ·
I'm trying to figure out how to quote a single post in multiple separate parts...

Basically, someone drops this massive wall of text, and I want to quote specific snippets one by one to reply to them—but I need the original author's name to stay visible at the top of each section.

I see plenty of people doing it quite seamlessly, yet I can't for the life of me work out the trick. 😢
Does Piracet actually work? in Health ·
So, I’ve been running into some real issues with my concentration when I try to study. Don't get me wrong—the motivation is there—but actually staying locked into a book? That’s where things fall apart. Up until now, I’ve experimented with various "supplements" like lecithin, which turned out to be overpriced junk that didn't do much of anything. After doing a bit of digging online, though, I stumbled upon Piracetam.

I’m curious: does this stuff actually help with focus? Is it worth ordering, or am I just looking at another waste of money?

I’m looking for some recommendations on where I can get custom orthotics made... About six or seven years ago, I had them done at a clinic over in Brooklyn, but they've since closed their doors. I specifically remember they used computer scanning for my feet—the inserts themselves were actually pretty decent.

Thanks so much...

Cloudy vision... apparently, there's no quick fix.

The verdict? My myopia—and some nonsense about circulation issues because my eye tension isn't quite where it needs to be, or so they say... I have no idea. I guess I just have to adjust and deal with it... damn... life goes on. ☕
