redheron54 said:Aha, I see where you're coming from. It sounds like PayPal might be a bit wary of prepaid cards—they likely find them "fishy"—and perhaps Mastercard blocks them by default under certain conditions. It wouldn't make much sense if five transactions go through smoothly and then suddenly everything gets blocked out of nowhere... In general, though, Cash App is wonderful for everyday things—standard shopping, eBay, that sort of thing. I haven't had any trouble with refunds with them, and overall, they seem fair, helpful, and their fees aren't even that high. They get my full approval...

Regarding the closing process, you could also do it via an ATM or wherever you typically withdraw funds; there's that 4% fee, so you could just calculate an amount where, after subtracting the 4%, your balance hits zero. Then you just close it out.

I am also wondering... since it is a prepaid account, is it treated like a standard checking account?

I actually have two different prepaid cards linked to my PayPal—one is a Visa and the other is from Cash App—and both work flawlessly for online shopping and paying bills.

Has anyone ever attempted to receive or send money via Cash App using this specific method?

Let’s say Person "A" needs to send you, say, $33, but there’s a catch—they don't actually have Cash App and they aren't interested in downloading it.
So, here is the idea: You go into the app and generate a QR code for a payment to your Cash App account. Instead of showing that QR code to a cashier at, let's say, a 7-Eleven, you just take a quick screenshot of the code on your phone. Then—and here is the kicker—you send that screenshot over to Person "A" via something like iMessage or WhatsApp. From there, Person "A" simply shows that screenshot to the cashier at the 7-Eleven, and through that transaction, the funds are deposited $33 directly into your Cash App account.
I do hope I’ve made myself clear enough!

I just noticed something rather peculiar—I have this monthly bill from Verizon for the full year listed in USD, complete with a barcode priced in USD.
But, get this: when I went ahead and scanned the code using aircash, the aircash app automatically converted the whole thing over into USD!
PayPal mobile wallet in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
I’m going to post a quick query just so this doesn't get buried by the search algorithm.
If someone is living outside of the US and doesn't have an account with AirCash, would they be able to send me money via a money order?
If that's actually a possibility—and I certainly hope it is!—how on earth am I supposed to find out what my IBAN is?

Quick question regarding PayPal
So, looking ahead to the beginning of next year when we finally make the switch to USD—will any funds sitting in my PayPal account just automatically convert over to USD? Or am I going to have to deal with the headache of withdrawing my cash in the old currency and then trekking down to a local bank to swap it all out?
I ask because, as of right now, I’m checking the app and I don't see both currencies listed side-by-side yet—just the current one.
Google Chrome cache issues. in IT Support ·
I wasn't actually questioning whether the page itself was loading—no, no!—but rather whether the game would actually launch and be playable within your specific browsers
Some of those games where I tried adding an "s" to the URL started working for a few folks, though for others, even that little tweak didn't do a bit of good.
But honestly, why should I lose any more sleep over this? It's simply not worth the headache! All those broken games that refuse to show up will just be pulled from the site entirely.

Drew Allen77 said:I suspect the issue is that not all your assets (like images) are being served over HTTPS, which causes Google Chrome to block them from loading. You can actually verify this by checking the console (https://developer.chrome.com/docs/devtools/open/)

The fix is pretty straightforward: just update the code to use HTTPS explicitly, or better yet, make the links protocol-agnostic (https://www.paulirish.com/2010/the-p...-relative-url/)
...

If the issue were actually buried in the code—and I did try adding HTTPS just to test it, but no luck there!—then the game embedded via the iframe from the game distributor wouldn't show up in any other browser either, right?
But it works perfectly fine! It loads up without a hitch in every other browser I have installed on my PC, including Mozilla and Opera.
It even runs beautifully on mobile browsers and my Android box using Opera and Google Chrome.
Take this game, for instance—can you see it loading in your Google Chrome browser?

So, this leads me to believe it’s probably just a cache issue—though goodness knows how I'm supposed to fix that, since I feel like I've already tried every single known method for clearing a cache!

So, I’ve been running this gaming website of mine—it’s been quite a project!—and I finally decided to activate an SSL certificate. But here’s the kicker: once I flipped that switch, all my game assets and photos that were still stuck on just HTTP suddenly vanished from the site entirely!
After chatting things through with my web hosting provider, I went ahead and added some specific code to my .htaccess file. That actually did the trick for most places; now the games and images show up perfectly fine in every browser and even on my phone... except for one stubborn outlier: Google Chrome on my desktop.
I have tried absolutely everything under the sun to clear out the cache on my PC
- Diving into the browser settings to wipe the cache
- Running commands via CMD to clear the local cache
- Using those classic keyboard shortcuts like CTRL+F5 or CTRL+shift+F5
- Running CCleaner
- Even using various website plugins...

But honestly? It feels like a total waste of time because those images and games simply refuse to appear in Google Chrome on my computer.
It is so strange—everything works flawlessly on Mozilla, Opera, and every single mobile browser I throw at it, including the mobile version of Google Chrome!

Is there some deep-seated setting within Google Chrome that I can tweak to fix this, or am I missing some other clever workaround?

Thanks so much in advance for any help!

I totally get it—the idea that paying bills without any fees won't last forever is perfectly reasonable! But, since they’re planning to start slapping on a $1.25 fee per account starting March 31st, why would I even bother with AirCash anymore? There are plenty of other options out there with much more reasonable rates.
If we were talking about a fee around 25 cents, fine, I could live with that... but 45 cents? That’s just getting ridiculous, isn't it?
Besides, most of my utility payments can be handled through the USPS without any extra charges at all!

Across our network of over 1,000 post offices, you can pay for services and products however you want:
* digitally – via the keks Pay or Cash App mobile apps
* with various credit and debit cards, or just plain old cash.

Using Cash App at the post office is a breeze. Every single one of our locations has a QR code displayed right at the counter; just scan it with your phone when you're ready to pay.

With digital payments at our branches, you can cover:
* retail items (excluding HAC ENC vouchers, mobile carrier e-vouchers, or lottery tickets)
* postal services
* FedEx express delivery services
* philatelic products.

I actually downloaded Cash App myself—why bother dealing with the hassle of heading down to the post office? These days, you can barely step foot inside a USPS branch without some sort of official clearance or special ID, and frankly, I’m just not looking to jump through those kinds of hoops! So, having Cash App as an alternative for paying my bills is absolutely brilliant.
As for my incoming packages, I’ve made it crystal clear to all my senders: if they ship via the postal service, I am not trekking down there to pick them up unless the mail carrier brings them right to my doorstep!

If you check the app under the transfer fee options, the rate is just 1%—which, let’s be honest, is a whole lot better than dealing with Western Union! And, if you ever need to send money to someone right here in the States, you can just head over to the recipient's bank and make a deposit directly; no extra fees involved at all!
Just a quick heads-up: I haven't actually used the money transfer feature myself yet. I've mostly been using PayPal exclusively to settle my bills—you know, utilities and the like—and as long as the fees stay low or cheaper than hitting up the local post office, that's exactly how I'll keep using it. I did give it a little test run the other day by buying a mobile top-up, and everything went through perfectly smooth! It’s quite handy, too—you don't even have to fumble around typing in those long voucher codes; you just enter the phone number and you're good to go.
As for my online shopping, I've got a prepaid card linked to my PayPal account, which serves my needs just fine for now.
But for everything else—whether it's popping into a shop or anything else under the sun—I still find myself trusting cold, hard cash more than anything else!

Linda Wood96 said:Can someone actually wire money onto an AirCash card—like, the way you’d do it with a standard checking account? Say, if someone just sets up a transfer using the card's account number?

Well, you can't really do it via a traditional bank transfer since there isn't a standard routing number involved, but—and here is the clever part!—if the sender also uses the app, they can just send funds straight to your mobile number. They simply enter the amount, punch in your phone number, and hit send! Isn't that convenient?

analogjackal11 said:It’s probably only worth sticking with this while they're running these zero-fee promos, I guess. Once those old service fees kick back in, I'll likely ditch it since they're just way too steep for me.

Look, even if they do introduce a fee, as long as it stays lower than what you'd pay at the Post Office, AirCash still comes out on top—especially nowadays, considering you can't even walk into a USPS branch without showing some kind of COVID clearance!

When I’m using the Venmo app to settle up a bill, how long does it actually take for the transaction to clear—you know, until it officially shows up in the recipient's account?
I’m just asking purely for peace of mind—say, if a bill is due by the 15th of the month and I go ahead and pay it on the 14th—what if there’s a delay of, say, five days? I'd hate to be hit with a late notice or unnecessary interest charges just because the system was lagging!

ironcyclist58 said:I mean, why don't you just hit that "Scan & Pay" button and see what it actually asks for? You just point the camera at the bill—or maybe just upload a screenshot from your library if you're feeling lazy.

Look, like I mentioned in my very first post—I haven't actually pulled the trigger on buying the card yet! I want to figure out how the whole thing works first, which is exactly why I decided to ask around here and see if anyone has any actual experience with it.
When I clicked on Scan and Pay, it asked me for permission to access the camera,

ironcyclist58 said:I’m not even sure I follow the question... You just scan the 2D barcode on the bill, and the amount gets pulled straight from whatever balance you’ve got sitting in your PayPal account.

I was wondering if this specific bill—say, an Exelon utility bill—can be paid entirely online via something like online banking, or am I stuck having to drive down to a local convenience store? Honestly, trekking to a shop is a bit of a hassle for me; the nearest one is about 20 miles away, and the gas stations in my neck of the woods don't accept paper payment slips.

I know how to scan a barcode, but can I actually use my phone to scan it and complete the entire transaction right then and there without leaving my house?

P.S. Is it possible to link this card to a PayPal account?

Wait, just so we're on the same page here—when you talk about paying these bills, are you referring to doing it all online through the web, or are you thinking more along the lines of physically heading down to a local 7-Eleven or a gas station?

So, I just stumbled upon an ad for AirCash and went ahead and installed the app—though I haven't pulled the trigger on getting the actual card yet, mostly because I want to do a little digging first.
I’ve been scanning through some reviews on the Play Store—you know how it goes, some people love it, some people hate it—and honestly, reading a company's own website is basically just listening to them brag about themselves, isn't it?
Anyway, rather than scrolling through this entire Topić thread to get a sense of things, I figured I’d just ask you guys directly! Maybe someone can help me clear up a few things?
- Can I actually use the app or this card to pay my online bills—like, say, ConEd or my AT&T bill—without having to set up a recurring payment or physically trek out to a gas station or a convenience store?
- Is it possible to link this thing to a PayPal account? And if so, how does that work? I mean, doesn't PayPal usually require some sort of verification number or ID check to get everything synced up?

The card probably wouldn't be my go-to for sending or receiving money—who knows, maybe it would—but my main goal is strictly online shopping and paying bills.
Ever since they tightened up the rules at the local post office, getting anything done there feels like a mission impossible! Plus, the nearest corner store is a good 30 miles away from me, so being able to handle this stuff online would be a total lifesaver.
I’m at the gas station all the time anyway to fuel up, so I could always just load some cash onto the card there.

If you ask me—and I really think you should consider this—an Android box is a much better, way more budget-friendly solution than relying on the built-in Android on your smart TV.
Most TVs typically come with less memory and a much weaker processor, don't they?
