People seriously underestimate what we journalists do—believe me, if we weren't out here digging up this info, the death toll and infection numbers would be way higher than they actually are.

😂😂😂

- Honestly, nobody actually *wants* to be sitting around late at night waiting for Director Ivan Škaričić to drop a statement when they could be binge-watching some Netflix series from their couch. I mean, I’d much rather spend my Easter morning hanging out with my family than standing outside a church listening to a priest worry about things going south in a neighborhood like Sirobuja or seeing a repeat of what happened in Solin—but hey, this is my job.

yeah

But I’m talking about right now—the present moment. For some little patriot, this news is a total bombshell. It's just pure, mindless drama from both sides of the aisle.

I don't know, man... looking at my own circle—whether it's people at home or my coworkers—most folks are honestly just disgusted by the media. They’re sick of all this paranoia and how every little thing gets blown out of proportion. Most people are way more worried about whether they’re gonna get fired, if they can actually keep their jobs, or how they're gonna make their mortgage payments. This kind of political noise? It mostly just interests the usual crowd of Democrats and Republicans.

Jacob Price95 said:Not only that, but you and the rest of the religious zealots would probably go out there to shut down the mosque and burn it to the ground along with everyone inside just because they don't follow your rules. ☕

Please, I wouldn't go that far—I'd just let a few pigs loose to get some fresh air.🤣😁

urbanhawk17 said:I get where you're coming from, but I don't think I agree.

No news outlet would bother covering a mass if it wasn't generating clicks. If stories about hospital shortages were outperforming religious coverage, you'd see them on the front page of every major site. But I guess for some Americans, whether a service was held or a reporter got harassed matters more than the fact that hospitals are running low on supplies and staff are losing money...

It’s the same story no matter which side you look at.

I disagree, because honestly, that exact kind of mindset is why Americans have been brainwashed by those same media outlets for decades. 😉

Jacob Price95 said:I honestly can't stand reading the comments from those people on Reddit who are busy defending the priest regarding the situation where Muslims visited the mosque during one of their holidays... 🍿

The most ridiculous part of this whole mess is watching Boone stumble over himself, claiming the police were completely in the dark, while that absolute lunatic continues his chaotic spree day after day... 🤣

If it had been a Muslim group causing a scene like that in front of a church, you can bet your life the American media would be burying the story or it wouldn't even make it past a tiny headline in some obscure corner of the news. 😉

urbanhawk17 said:I honestly can't tell who's the bigger fool here. Is it the priest holding Mass—even though the Pope could probably pull it off alone—or is it the people showing up to watch, or maybe the news crews filming the whole thing? Or perhaps it’s just the crowd that got way too worked up over this story in the first place.

I guess I just can't decide who's the biggest idiot in the room.

The media in America cares way more about some random priest holding service than they do about doctors and nurses seeing their paychecks slashed while working in absolute garbage conditions without basic gear. If those healthcare workers actually spoke up, they'd be threatened with being fired immediately. Like, take that nursing home in Miami—they don't even have a single damn computer, let alone gloves or masks; they haven't been given anything. But sure, let's ignore all that and obsess over one priest and a few people walking around town. That's clearly the "real" crisis we should all be worried about.

Come on guys, seriously though, who actually thinks this is worthy of being a lead story on BuzzFeed?

So basically, just some guy driving by in his car... 🍿

Paul Martinez73 said:You guys sure have plenty of arguments today 🤣

They're filming your every move, so why wouldn't they film on private property too? And then on the flip side, it's all "I don't want the President following meeeee, ahhh Boone won't let me live!" 🤣

Just pick a side and decide what you actually stand for—is it okay to film everything everywhere, or isn't it? Is it okay to follow people everywhere, or isn't it? Are you for freedom of movement and gathering, or aren't you?

You're struggling so hard 🤣 but honestly, what else can you expect from a bunch of Democrats ☕

The saddest part is, even if those incidents never happened and everything stayed peaceful, you lot would still find some reason to bitch about it

Honestly, cutting out the TV, the mainstream news, and all that crap has been a total game-changer—mostly just so I don't lose my damn mind. Dealing with this modern-day garbage is basically impossible for my mental health. Compared to the propaganda machines of the past, today's media is absolute trash.

Anthony Jackson2 said:She was just doing her job—filming a church, which is basically public property—when some uncultured brute decided to physically attack her. He didn't even bother with a warning, probably because he lacks the IQ to string together a simple sentence in under ten minutes. I don't see much point in debating this. 🤣

and the priest was just doing his job 🤣

Paul Martinez73 said:Aren't you basically advocating for total freedom of movement and socializing? I mean, you wouldn't lift a finger to stop anyone over some virus that's arguably no worse than the flu.
Once again, we get a front-row seat to the blatant hypocrisy of the Leftists. Honestly, we shouldn't be surprised at this point. ☕

"Leviticus: Let people hang out and socialize! Screw the Republican Stopper, Fairy, and that police state Boise! Why are they targeting people in fields and homes? Just let everyone do whatever they want!

Leviticus: Screw those priests, they're just breaking the rules by gathering in churches—it spreads the virus, and they won't listen to Stopper, they just ignore the laws."

👍

Every single day, hundreds or even thousands of people walk through stores—touching stuff, poking around—yet I don't see any of that bottom-tier journalistic scum filming people. Seriously, those reporters are the absolute lowest in this country; even politicians aren't quite that much of a gutter. It’s disgusting how hypocritical and double-standard everything is—and look, I'm not trying to excuse a priest who's basically sending people straight to hell 🤦—but when someone shoves a camera right in your face, you can't act shocked when you get knocked out. Yeah, well, maybe they should learn a little about manners and basic privacy.

Anthony Jackson2 said:If they start mass testing for antibodies, we'll get a decent idea of the actual infection numbers.

My bet? Global mortality won't top 1%.

Dude, 1% would mean 70 million people—that's just not happening. We won't even see a million deaths.

Matthew Young35 said:Hmm...
So far, we have 219 recoveries and 20 deaths.
At this rate, that implies a 10% mortality rate and a 90% recovery rate. Roughly speaking.

Nice math there, genius.

Paul Martinez73 said:And you, just rambling on like usual...
What does wandering off have to do with anything? And where exactly did I bring that up for you to respond like that...
You completely missed the mark, and honestly, I should have just ignored you... since you're clearly just spinning.

I was talking about those people who refuse to socially distance because they can't stand being stuck in quarantine... they complain about everything under the sun, yet suddenly they have no problem acting recklessly and infecting forty senior citizens in the process. I never explicitly said that’s exactly what happened, but honestly, it’s not like it couldn't have gone down that way...

I wonder if you can actually process this... Imagine if White Powder worked at a nursing home. Everything would just get on his nerves because he thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room. He’d brush off some minor flu like it’s nothing, head out to hit up a BBQ with a buddy, maybe deal with a girl who works the counter at the local USPS, and then—since he’s clearly the genius who knows everything and fears absolutely nothing—he’d just stroll into work and tell everyone to screw off because, honestly, those old folks were going to kick the bucket anyway...

Look, I’m going to circle back here, but hopefully you finally see what I meant by my previous post and why your response missed the mark entirely. I’m assuming you don't spend much time around elderly people, but if you do, you really ought to be careful... because if you take this stuff too lightly, you could end up cutting someone's life short.

You're obsessing over me way too much—just leave me alone, man. I don't know what your deal is. Go ahead, hop on those special express buses and lick the handrails if it makes you feel better.

Susan Kim2 said:Of course there will be layoffs and a crisis coming. I think everyone realizes that already.
What I meant was that in a month, you might actually be able to grab a beer, visit a friend, or head to a theater or a movie without having to religiously scan every person in the room to see if they're keeping their distance.

It’s not going back to how it was, just remember that. Honestly, parts of our lives are probably gonna shrink even more—the question is whether that hits our wallets or just our daily routines. Things won't ever be totally "normal" again; there are going to be shifts, and yeah, most of them will be negative. Of course, they'll just package it all up and tell us it's "for our health" or "the greater good."😉

Elizabeth Mendoza said:What makes us any different? Our healthcare system is drowning in debt, hospitals are falling apart, and we’re facing a massive shortage of doctors and nurses everywhere you look.

A buddy of mine lives over in Slovakia, and man, they have strict mask mandates outdoors—no exceptions. The streets are empty. Only essential workers are allowed out to keep things running. They basically implemented a total lockdown. He was telling me today that the military might even be patrolling the streets during the holidays.

They have a few more cases than us, but half as many, and only two deaths. How can they possibly be doing better?

Look, we actually have more hospital beds per capita than the Italians do. They usually deal with packed hospitals every single winter just from the standard flu, so this whole thing was basically just the final straw for them.
Offside Chat Archives (2014-2021) in Soccer ·
Hey, Elizabeth Mendoza, Italy’s been drowning in healthcare chaos for years now—so this whole situation wasn't exactly a shocker. There were just way too many moving parts failing at once. Their medical experts basically brushed the virus off like it was nothing, and by the time they actually realized they needed to shut down travel, it was already too late. You had folks traveling from the north straight down south, bringing the virus along for the ride. Plus, let’s be real: they have one of the oldest populations in the world and their hospital capacity was already stretched thin to the breaking point. And don't even get me started on the stats—those numbers are inflated as hell. I’m convinced there are people who died because doctors went too aggressive with treatment, but you won't hear anyone talking about that... it's just not "healthy" to admit that shoving everyone onto ventilators isn't always the answer.
