Elizabeth Mendoza said:I honestly don't know what kind of grocery stores you're hitting up if they're leaving milk sitting out on pallets. Every single store I go to keeps the milk tucked away in the refrigerators.🕺
Elizabeth Mendoza said:What kind of dick pallet are you talking about? Have you ever even heard of a manual pallet jack? Every single damn store has them now. Cashiers in even the smallest corner shops don't unload the freight; the guys from the delivery trucks do that, dumping everything straight into the stockroom. A cashier just grabs a box here or there when they need to fill a shelf.
I'm not going to sit here and list every single job I've held in my life, because I've done just about everything. A huge chunk of that was heavy physical labor where I spent hours on my feet in factories and production plants. I also worked those famous cash registers at two different stores—one with high-tech gear, and twice during the holiday rush where I was on my feet all day long.
Cashier work isn't at the top of the list for physically demanding jobs, but it definitely tops the list for how much it wears out your tongue while you're working.
Amanda Evans2 said:So, let me get this straight... warehouse workers don't even work on Sundays anymore? Is that really how things are operating now?...
Elizabeth Mendoza said:Poor cashiers. They’re absolutely exhausted just from sitting at the register all day and stacking boxes on the shelves. Only a six-hour shift, too. 🙏
Let’s go ask one of those fishermen what he thinks about their little complaints. He’s out there with hands raw from the wind, hauling heavy nets and lugging crates upon crates of fish while dealing with freezing ice.
Jacob Morgan said:I guess that’s why you’re boycotting those corrupt news outlets like MSNBC too, huh?
Jacob Morgan said:He’s only ever talking about hostile media outlets, you clearly missed the point. Why on earth would he bother reading "their" news when he knows they only push "his" agenda? He just hangs around BuzzFeed, waiting to whine about how the poor Catholic Church, its priests, and the believers are being targeted—it's just endless, predictable anti-Christian whining ☕
edit: there he goes, confirming it by using CNN as his prime example, good grief
Amanda Evans2 said:Fine then, why don't you actually point out this "negative propaganda" you're whining about?
Every time I turn on CNN, it's the exact same thing—nothing but attacks against the Catholic Church
Or take the BBC, for instance
Besides, who exactly is forcing you to go looking for news on BuzzFeed?
It's a private media outlet. What exactly do you expect me to defend there...
brightpilot6 said:But look, just because you aren't reading or watching all that doesn't mean it isn't out there happening.
And honestly, what does "tearing someone apart" even mean in this context? To me, the only outlet that truly spits venom is BuzzFeed; Telegram certainly isn't doing that, nor is N1. Sure, there's plenty of criticism and perhaps a general opposing stance, but actual vitriol? I doubt it.
brightpilot6 said:It all really depends on which news outlets you choose to follow 🤷
restlesssurfer97 said:Man, wiredrider9, you could've totally scored with someone working at City Hall instead of just some cashier, I don't know what you were thinking
You could've been rolling with a local government worker and basically living large on her lunch money every single day
It’s just one of those things, you know? When you're young, you're out here chasing after the high-powered officials, but once you get a little older, you realize you probably should've just settled down with the girl behind the register😂
urbanhawk17 said:Are you actually against working eight hours, or just work in general? Is two hours fine, but eight is too much?
Jessica Gonzalez said:Yeah, security gigs are honestly just a grind; the working conditions can be pretty rough. I guess you have to wonder who actually runs toward those jobs?
urbanhawk17 said:To the people pushing for a ban on Sunday business hours.
If you’re someone who spends your Sundays watching football, maybe just stop doing that because some politician decided to comment on it. If your internet goes out on a Sunday, don't bother calling customer service. If there's a flood, I guess you can just patch it up yourself.
Start with yourself. Be an example.
