I wasn't even getting at that—whatever, it doesn't matter.

Carol Lewis said:The epidemic is projected to cause an extra 18,000 cancer deaths in the United Kingdom alone
It’s going to be really eye-opening to look back at all those mortality curves once we hit the end of 2020...

Everyone keeps acting like he’s already out of the picture, talking about him like he’s a ghost, and they’ve been doing it for years now, but people seem to forget that he isn't just going to vanish—someone actually has to go out there and beat him at the polls.
As long as there isn't a heavyweight contender standing across from him on election day, he’s just going to keep holding onto that seat.
If Tomasevic is really the most serious challenger we have coming up in the next cycle, then honestly, you might as well just hand Ed Koch another term right now.
Paul Sanders5 said:Exactly. That’s why I think any kind of donation drive—especially asking athletes to beg for donations—is just a joke.
What are we even paying taxes for, especially since they're pretty damn high? To fund bureaucrats at the US Geological Survey who just waste time, or to pay for mismanagement in places like a nursing home in Miami? Governments, especially over in Europe, are swimming in cash, even the ones labeled as "poorest." It's all about how that money actually gets spent...

But the issue is, it shouldn't be your job to sell jerseys just to fund Petro's comeback.
And I feel like as long as we keep throwing money at things this way, it isn't actually doing any good...

urbanhawk17 said:It isn't actually an issue that he's in the Republican Party; I don't have anything against being a member.
But when you try to hide that membership, 😕 then it implies you're hiding it for a reason.
And over the last seven days, he's made it pretty clear what those reasons are.

The guy talks about handing out incentives to entrepreneurs and slashing government spending, but he conveniently forgets to mention where the money is actually coming from... man, it must be so easy being in the opposition and just talking trash all day. 🙏🙏🙏
First we had the influence of guys like Jack Welch, and now the Democrats have found their new economic heavyweight in Tica. 🙏🙏🙏
Joseph Clark37 said:I followed this closely when it first surfaced over the Pacific and then the Atlantic. I watched the interviews with pilots who verified the footage was real and shared their take on what they saw—or rather, what shouldn't have been there. It’s fascinating how this stays mostly under the radar, especially since the Department of Defense doesn't just confirm these things, they actually release official UFO videos. But then again, who knows...
Matthew Young35 said:I’ve been rewatching the tapes from both of them, and honestly? Drazen was playing on an entirely different plane.
Respect to Toni Kukoč and Vlade Divac, of course, but Drazen was simply a class above the rest.
I’m talking about his prime years playing over in Europe; I didn't follow the NBA quite as closely back then.
It’s the same story with the club level: the Los Angeles Lakers of that era were leagues ahead of a team like Split.
The Split squad mostly earned their legendary status because they played the role of the underdog—it was all heart, grit, and pure defiance. But the LA teams? They were the heavy favorites every single time they took the title, primarily because they had Drazen.
If there is any regret, it’s just that he was one of the first major European stars to jump to the NBA during that transition, and he ended up on a much tougher roster than Kukoč did.
As for debating who won more trophies in team sports, I find the whole argument pointless. Look at someone like Ashley Young—he’s collected more silverware than Gary Lineker or Francesco Totti ever did. Even in individual sports, look at the chess legends: Emanuel Lasker held the world title for twenty-seven years, while Bobby Fischer held it for two.
Jessica Gonzalez said:Realistically, it might be easier for a team like the Clippers to make it to the EuroLeague than for the Lakers to reach serious European football heights. I mean, the required investment and the jump in quality needed seem smaller. For instance, now that the local powerhouse isn't around, a team like the Clippers could easily take a championship title with some solid funding. To get a role in the EuroLeague, they might need $7 million, whereas for the Lakers to play in the Champions League, it might cost closer to $70 million rather than $7. Football quality just seems more expensive.
But yeah, the Lakers are the Lakers, and even in a place like NYC, people don't seem to care as much about basketball or the Knicks lately.
Jessica Gonzalez said:I guess I wonder, why is there such strong support behind the local rivals, but maybe not as much for the Warriors? Just asking as an outside observer.
Elizabeth Mendoza said:They bring back public transit, slash the schedules on Sundays and holidays, and then act completely shocked when the buses are packed like sardines.

Honestly, this has nothing to do with going to church. Like, at all. How yes no?
The funniest part is definitely those folks who write articles saying they're totally against Sunday shopping, but then you see them out doing their big Sunday shopping spree!🙏

He’s also quite the vocal advocate for the American tax system...
Noted.
steelharbor9 said:Oh, you know, like how much influence religious groups have over the government? I mean, given how much money is constantly flowing their way, I guess I can't really agree that it isn't one of the biggest issues facing America today.
