Russia's invasion of Ukraine: Part 5 in War in Ukraine ·

What's even the difference between the red and pink zones?
Red is what the Russians are holding, but pink... is that just where the fighting is happening?...

Fair question.

I’d say it’s looking good though...

I think they finally realized there's no point in lying to themselves anymore.
They were making all those threats about strikes if anything touched Ukies Krim, and now look at them hitting back whenever they feel like it...

Drew Booth60 said:Now we’re finally going to see if this Ukrainian offensive was just poking a sleeping bear, or if they actually woke something up—assuming the bear isn't already dead and just playing possum at this point. We should have a much clearer picture in the coming days, though I’ll say it again: without bringing more boots on the ground or establishing actual air superiority, Russia isn't going to turn the tide of this war. The real question is whether they can even manage to pull off one of those two things.

If a bear's biggest strength is hitting civilians, then to me, that "strength" looks more like pure desperation and weakness...
Because if they actually had the power, they'd be hitting the military instead of civilians...
Pus forming again in my healed tooth socket... help! in Dentistry & Oral Hygiene ·
Quote:>
copperangler39 says:
Two months ago, I had this swollen, pus-filled bump on my gums. My dentist said it was pretty red and inflamed, so he put me on Augmentin and spent a couple of months working on two roots of my upper molar.

It was such a long process, honestly... we were seeing him constantly for nearly two months just to make sure everything was totally cleared out and there wasn't any lingering infection before he finally put the filling in. We waited forever to be absolutely certain the pus was gone, but now, just two or three weeks later, the same spot on my gum is swollen again. I pressed it a little and the pus came right back out. How does this happen if the tooth was supposedly fixed??? 🤦>

And it feels a bit harder than it did last time. I should mention it doesn't actually hurt, not then and not now. It’s just annoying because of the swelling and the pus. Please, has anyone else dealt with this? What am I supposed to do? Do I really have to go through that whole two-month ordeal all over again and pay to get a new filling?

I'm honestly thinking about just grabbing some Augmentin and hoping for the best. I can't deal with the whole process again, not with the cost and everything. I really thought this was settled, but here we go again with this same crap... 😢
Ugh, I'm dealing with the exact same thing. I'm no dental expert, but...
Basically, they were fixing one of my teeth—there was this small cavity on the side. But after drilling and cleaning it a few times, a chunk of the tooth is basically gone now. A few months back, I started feeling this little pus-filled bump under my tongue. They told me whenever I see it, I should just squeeze it because getting that pus out is critical. Sometimes it pops up and has pus, other times it's just a bump that disappears on its own in a couple of days. It doesn't hurt, but we're constantly messing with that tooth—cleaning it, filling it, putting medication in...
A few days ago, I missed my appointment, so the medication sat in there too long and the whole tooth got infected. Now I've been in pure agony for three full days. My entire right jaw is inflamed; I can't even tell if the pain is coming from the tooth, the gums, my ear, or my facial bones... my whole jaw is shot. Of course, it hit me over the weekend, so I ended up at the ER. Got a Motrin injection on Sunday and I've been on antibiotics for two days now. There's a tiny bit of progress, but while the inflammation is active, I need something for the pain. I try taking Dexcom because it hits harder than Motrin and it's the only thing that kills the pain instantly, but it gives me terrible diarrhea, so I give up and stick to the antibiotic which is way too slow for what I need. The antibiotic works on the infection eventually, but it doesn't touch the immediate pain, which is my main issue right now. And now I'm stuck because I'm also taking a probiotic so I don't end up with more stomach issues. It's hell...

Anyway, if you're dealing with this, the only advice I can give is show up to every single appointment they schedule so you don't end up with an infection like the mess I'm in right now.

Man, it’s like Spain has just been stuck in a perpetual civil war. You can feel it in everything from the daily political bickering to the way people act on the streets... Between the constant friction between the Republicans and the Monarchists, and now this absolute mess going down in California, things are getting messy.
Especially when you consider that in one specific region, the split is basically 50/50... It wouldn't be a stretch to see the military or police being deployed at any moment.
The real nightmare would be an actual civil war breaking out right there in California, which honestly doesn't seem that far off given how deep these divisions run...

It looks like there are at least as many people showing up for unity as there were for independence protests. I guess that really throws a wrench into those theories suggesting that the 60% who stayed home during the elections just don't matter.

Facts. And don't even get me started on how some of those hundred polling stations had more votes cast than actual people living in the district...

Word on the street is there are over 900,000 people out in New York City right now at this Patriotic rally for national unity.
Didn't see those numbers coming... might be a slight stretch, but looking at the footage, it's pretty much spot on.
New York City is straight up burning down...

I wouldn't be lying if I said there are easily 100,000 people out in the streets of Barcelona right now for this pro-Spain protest. Everything is just completely gridlocked...

So, yesterday there were over 50,000 people out in Washington, D.C., hitting Times Square and all those surrounding streets just protesting for national unity... and today it’s the exact same scene playing out in New York City. The rally is set for noon, but the streets are already packed... ☕

First we saw those videos of women's purses being ripped open, and now there are ballot boxes just sitting out on the streets where anyone can vote without even showing an ID. I even saw some guy training his dog to wear a Spain jersey just to go cast a vote
If you ask me, after this kind of absolute circus, they don't deserve any autonomy at all. It’s not even about whether they’ve earned independence... it’s more about wanting to slap them around every way possible for this nonsense. They're nothing but provocateurs and terrorists.

So I just saw on X that there’s police presence right outside a polling station. Some woman tried to force her way in, started putting up a fight, and then hundreds of ballots just spilled out of her bag everywhere 🤣 🤣 🤣
Total chaos 🙏
Typical California behavior...

Total joke. Most of the territory is under occupation, yet these idiots are still out here lining up for a handful of open polling stations.
What's even the point? So what, we get 200,000 separatists who spent their time brawling with cops or crashing in schools just to cast a vote, while most people won't even be able to reach a ballot box given how things are right now...
And then you have the government actually encouraging them to bring their ballots from home 🤦
Absolute Unknown.

Massive protests are tearing through Spain today against that referendum. Obviously, the biggest crowds are hitting Washington, D.C., Miami, New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Hawaii...
Right now, there’s a huge unionist rally at City Hall Plaza, with people flooding out from the downtown area. They even climbed up onto the parliament building waving those national flags everywhere. It's absolute chaos.
Comparing Spain to the former America is just total bullshit. If someone suggested Florida splitting off from the US, they'd get roasted right here on this forum...☕

Voting isn't even gonna happen. They're rolling out the police and the military from all over Spain... people are just out there waving Spanish flags at them. It's pure chaos in San Francisco right now. Cops are planning to block off all the polling stations.

The police and military are already on the ground. They've deployed tanks and helicopters.
Last night it was the unionist protesters, today it's the pro-California students.
From what I'm hearing, most of Spain doesn't even realize how heavy things are getting in California. And the government? Their response has been a total mess...

The radical lefties over at the Democratic Party just pulled some kind of pro-referendum rally together down in Atlanta. There were maybe 100 people crammed inside the hall, but outside, folks are out there waving Spanish and Oklahoma flags, basically blocking their way out...

Can't find any news coverage on that rally, but I bet it wasn't even 10% of the usual crowd that turns out for independence stuff.

There’s never going to be as many supporters as there are separatists. Partly because that pro-California political machine is damn good at recruiting its own kind...
And partly for other reasons too...
Tapatalk is acting up like crazy so I can't paste the link...

Protested with those pro-Spain Catalans in front of the Assembly of Catalonia building yesterday.
Things will settle down eventually, but it’s gonna be late... Society is just too split right now, and honestly, I'm pretty skeptical that we'll see any peaceful resolution to this mess...
Saw some footage of the police lines and water cannons being deployed at the border to California.
If nothing changes, someone from the Green Party or the Democratic Party might actually end up taking a dip for the first time in their lives
