Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·
It feels like there’s a new scandal or arrest every single day lately. First, you had the situation with Ante Čorić and the oil industry, then the mess involving Bošnjaković and Vladimír Maček, and now we’re hearing about this local crime queen out in a small town. It’s honestly gotten to the point where corruption within the Republican Party just feels routine. It’s become socially acceptable; people have grown so accustomed to seeing Republicans caught up in scandals that they don't even blink anymore. It doesn't even seem to impact their performance at the polls.
Krešimir Škoro and the folks over at Mostovac really ought to be tearing them apart over these constant controversies, especially since they're all fighting for the exact same pool of voters.

It looks like Plenky is just clearing them out of the way so he doesn't have to deal with putting them on the ballot lists.🤣

We will finally have representatives on par with those from the 90s. Honestly, one only needs to compare the speeches of someone like Raspudić or Marija Selak to the rhetoric used by Dobrović, Kovačić, Strenja Linić, or Dubravka Alibegović... when I really think about it, I cannot recall a single meaningful speech from any of them throughout their entire four-year term in Congress. They are utterly colorless figures.

Exactly, we won't get anything out of them🤣. Even that philosopher from Zadar who ran on the Bridge ticket had a few notable moments in Congress, but that was it—it came and went without making much of an impact.👍.

Jose Collins86 said:A single power couple like Raspudić-Selak holds far more political weight than the likes of Ružica Vuković, Dobrović, and the rest of that crew whom nobody actually voted for. Those who cast their ballots for the Bridge party do so because of that famous trio, and now, that Mediterranean trio has been bolstered by several other heavy hitters.

But what are we actually supposed to do with them? You've got two philosophers, a historian, a psychiatrist who clearly isn't interested in the job, and one local know-it-all. What kind of cabinet position could we possibly find for them?
As for Dubravka Alibegović, Dobrović, Kovačić, Panenić, or Strenja Linić... those folks have actually done things in their careers; they have some sort of professional standing. With the Raspudić couple, you might be able to hand them something involving education or maybe culture, and just let them run with it.

What’s most frustrating is seeing minority groups acting as the kingmakers once again. I’d much rather see a decisive victory for either the Republican Party or the Democratic Party, where they can look at those voters and tell them, "Look, we don't actually need your help to win."

Wait, are you telling me the Republican Party officially doesn't have a single representative left in El Paso?🤣

Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Hey everyone, so a few days ago—this past Friday, actually—I started dealing with some hemorrhoid issues. They were probably there before, but there was zero pain until now. This time, though, they turned into external ones and the pain was intense. I barely slept, stayed cooped up inside my house, and even just walking around felt incredibly uncomfortable. For the last couple of days, I’ve been sticking to a diet of mostly soup and apples, plus taking frequent showers in relatively cool water... As of this morning, I’m feeling a bit better; the pain has subsided slightly, and I feel like I'm slowly getting back to normal. I haven't seen a doctor or stopped by a pharmacy yet, and honestly, I'm not even sure if I will. What I really wanted to ask is, how do you all manage your diet? From what I've read, the main thing is eating plenty of fiber—whole grains, legumes, and things like that. How strictly do you stick to that, and how much variety do you actually get in your meals? Personally, I wouldn't say I've ever been a big fan of junk food or alcohol, but I'm curious about your experiences.

My top picks would have to be: Tin Srbić, Sandro Sukno, and Martin Dolenc.
