Eric Adams - Mayor of San Francisco in Political Scene ·
If you ask me, he’s easily the most level-headed person in politics right now. He just has nerves of steel.
He doesn't deal in all that loud-mouthed shouting or empty theatrics; instead, he takes on the Republican Party's nonsense in a way that's calm, steady, and incredibly effective. Honestly, I think his composure even gets under his opponents' skin because they can't seem to rattle him no matter how hard they try.
I hope my assessment isn't totally off base.🤣
Turkey - TR in World ·
It looks like Erdogan is doing everything in his power to take out his biggest rival before the next election cycle. He's clearly targeting the popular Mayor of Istanbul, Ekrem Imamoglu, because the guy actually has the momentum needed to beat Erdogan in the upcoming congressional and presidential races.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine: Part 5 in War in Ukraine ·
There’s actually an agreement from 2013 between China and Ukraine where China guarantees they'll step in to protect Ukraine if they ever face a nuclear attack.

If this annexation actually ends up succeeding, does that mean Turkey could just casually swoop in and annex eastern Cyprus? It’s almost like a domino effect—if that happens, it might stop Russia from trying to grab pieces of Georgia or Moldova, though let's be honest, taking over parts of Mexico is pretty much out of the question.🤣
But really, at the end of the day, any major power can wake up on any given morning and decide to tell their smaller neighbor, "Hey, I'm just going to annex a little slice of your territory."

It would be really something if the Ukrainians could pull off a slightly more intense offensive against those annexed territories tomorrow.

The Russian Federation is made up of 22 different republics; honestly, it would be great to see some momentum building for them to finally break away from Russia.

There is some massive potential for recruitment here.
Instead of pulling from the Yakut, Circassian, Tatar, Dagestani, or Chuvash regions... you could find as many volunteers as you want right in the heart of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

It’s going to be quite the spectacle at those training camps, especially once people like this get their hands on actual firearms. I honestly can't tell who they'll aim at first.
Most of them aren't even ethnically Russ anyway.

So many people are going to suffer, especially those living out past the Urals who aren't even ethnically Russian. But honestly, what can you expect when they don't even stand up for themselves? Show some backbone! Just pack up and head for Mongolia or Kazakhstan... forget about Ukraine, for crying out loud.

I don't really know what else to say, but the bottom line is that Ukraine has to win this and finally get out from under all this. We need to see Russia weakened as much as possible so they can just go their own way.
I honestly worry that there’s no saving Belarus at this point, and those Russians who actually want a decent life will probably have to pack up and move elsewhere.
I'm not even sure if Russia is truly capable of electing a sane leader. The closest thing they ever had was probably Gorbachev—though, to be fair, he wasn't exactly elected by choice, and most Russians just view him as a traitor anyway.
Even if they end up collapsing from within again, who's going to step in to save them? It'll likely just be someone else obsessed with the idea of Russian greatness and raw power.
Look at Canada—they're huge, and they've managed to thrive, to the point where they aren't even looking to give up the monarchy.🙂

Western companies could always step in and temporarily offer flight services to Russia; I bet there would be plenty of business to go around.

Just how much hardware does Russia actually have left in their inventory? They can't just send everything over to Ukraine and leave a massive, undefended gap stretching all the way from the Caucasus to Vladivostok.
And let's be honest, they're probably running low on Western components too. What are they going to fight with once those supplies dry up? Are they going to rely on tech from the 70s or 80s, or will they just start depending entirely on Iran to keep them going?🙂

Honestly, I don’t know why everyone was dragging their feet and waiting so long on this. It wasn't exactly a shocker—everyone saw this coming from a mile away. In fact, if you ask me, things should have been handled a lot more aggressively from the start.🙂

With Putin out of the picture and some protests breaking out over in Chechnya... it could be an interesting night.
Then again, it might end up being nothing at all.

Maybe they picked him up, and now they're out there hunting for his double.🤣
He isn't going to have much luck trying to pull himself out of that bunker.

They’re going to argue that the legal institutions of a constitutional republic simply have to work.

Alexander Lukashenko really gets under my skin. Is it actually possible that there isn't a single internal force strong enough to topple his regime? It feels like he’s just one bad day away from grabbing a one-way ticket to Russia and running for it.

So what’s the play here? Is Putin just going to become Xieva's errand boy, and by extension, is Russia going to follow suit?
It’ll be quite the spectacle, watching them sell off energy resources at whatever price Xieva decides to dictate. I guess he finally found a way to deal with the so-called "decadent" West—by introducing them to democracy in its purest, most unfiltered form.🙂

Is Putin barricading himself in Sochi because he’s refusing to talk to his top military brass?
People in districts across St. Petersburg and Moscow are calling for resignations. Honestly, it might be better if the military headed back toward Moscow and Sochi—they could probably use the help there pretty soon.

Timothy Nelson5 said:And I wonder if that would actually make much of a difference in terms of boosting Russian strength.
What kind of tanks are they even going to hand out, or what about artillery and ammo supplies?
I mean, it would take them months just to get those units organized and trained up...

Honestly, I think it’s more about how insane the whole concept is. Who even declares war on someone these days? If you lose, you’re basically forced into signing some kind of surrender agreement.
The people in Moscow are just talking nonsense at this point; they seem completely lost in the middle of all this.
