Total collapse, and I guess this is just the beginning.
Now, after six days of waiting, you'll finally get an undated letter that doesn't even list the child's name or when the isolation actually started.
"Dear Parents,
We are informing you that your child, student at [School Name Not Provided], has been in contact with someone infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Due to this contact, the child has been ordered to undergo self-isolation until ??.9.2021.
Please let us know where the child will be spending their period of self-isolation.
Please contact your chosen physician (family doctor/pediatrician), who will take over further supervision and the need for potential testing.
-If your child develops symptoms compatible with COVID-19 during self-isolation, they must be tested (contact your chosen physician, who should refer the child for testing). According to current CDC recommendations, individuals who do not develop symptoms compatible with COVID-19 during self-isolation do not need to be tested at the end of the isolation period, except for employees in healthcare facilities and social care homes.
If testing is not required, the child may attend classes at school starting from ??.9.2021.
-An individual is not subject to health supervision during quarantine/self-isolation if they:
• had laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 (via PCR or antigen test) within the last nine months and met the conditions for ending isolation
• are an individual who had laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 and received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine within eight months of recovery; in this case, the quarantine exemption is extended to nine months from receiving the vaccine (immunocompromised individuals and those over 65 must receive two doses regardless of prior infection).
• were classified as a probable case of COVID-19 based on clear epidemiological history and clinical presentation (e.g., a household member living with a laboratory-confirmed patient who developed characteristic symptoms during quarantine) within the last nine months and met the conditions for ending isolation.
• received a second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine (or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) within the last nine months, provided that 14 days have passed since the completion of vaccination (the second dose for all vaccines except Johnson & Johnson, which is administered as a single dose).
-In the event of the criteria mentioned above, your child does not need to enter self-isolation, but please inform us accordingly.
-You may show this email to your attending physician; all data regarding the ordered self-isolation will also be available to the doctor via the electronic platform.
