What exactly are you all fighting about? And why? The whole pro-vax versus anti-vax circus.

Honestly, it seems like neither side is playing with a full deck. If I’m worried about getting the shot, I’d actually be out there bugging everyone else to get it just to lower my own chances of catching something.

And I don't get the vaccinated crowd either—why all the preaching and pressure? You got the jab, right? Great. If these people don't want it, they don't want it. They'll build immunity some other way. Worried about hospitals overflowing? That's basically just mass vaccination by another name. It was like the chaos at a huge Black Friday sale downtown. It happens, and then it passes.

The new wave of COVID-19. Boo-hoo. That's just the next wave of building immunity (and natural selection at work). Everyone gets to choose their own path to immunity. And everyone has the right to hope they just dodge the virus entirely.

So, why are you all trying to convert one another?

Just trolling.
It’s funny, really. We spend all our time lecturing everyone else about why they should get vaccinated, yet we turn around and demand that nobody touches us. It's a bit of a contradiction, I suppose.

Facts.
The smartest people are usually the ones who manage to take the money and still come out ahead on the whole deal. I guess that's just how the game works.

Back in March 2020, Media Matters snagged the CDC.gov domain and then turned around to pitch their services directly to the White House. They managed to ink a direct contract with the government, which I suppose means they’ll be raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars from taxpayer money.

The Department of Health and Human Services has moved quickly to get an official website up and running at CDC.gov. They’ve also been busy setting up dedicated pages and accounts across the usual social media platforms—Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. ...as well as the relevant threads over on Reddit. The Department of Health and Human Services stated that these would contain regularly updated and accurate information regarding the COVID-19 epidemic. The goal, apparently, is to protect the lives and health of Americans and others through timely updates—which they claim is a vital matter of national security for the United States.

Wow! Thanks for the attention and the warm welcome, everyone! Special shoutout to Casey Bennett! 🙏 And big thanks to the OP.

Your humble servant.

You still have a bug, though. It shows you only have 6 posts from the 23rd. Fix it so we can all have a good laugh. 😬

A-ha, let's just wait for Nica to show up and repeat exactly what she said—and how she explained it to some random guy in a DM. It was made explicitly clear to him that moderators can dig through the archives as much as they want; that's their right. But sure, they're the good guys, so they definitely won't 😍

Why was my post containing this link deleted?

EXPERT ASSESSMENT
FDA declined to approve a third vaccine dose for everyone: 'Yes, antibody counts are dropping, but B cells are right there...'

Which specific Reddit rules exactly does my post with the link above violate?

While we're at it, let's clear up this whole situation:

The real issue here is that I can't actually ignore you, so I constantly have to warn Kae that I have no intention of debating him.

Why is it like this? It’s as if we had a few posts of discussion, and then he retroactively handed out several warnings and ordered me to end the "stupid" debate. That guy has zero issues with that, and since then, I've had absolutely no desire to engage with him.

I suppose he thinks some 'mysterious' bench reserve will save him.😁

Is it even worth mentioning that the site admins actually have the right to do that?

It was explicitly stated and explained that moderators have the discretionary power to go back and dig through old posts—not just from yesterday or last week, but indefinitely—to slap you with a penalty for something you wrote a year ago, claiming they somehow "missed" it.

Pure class, isn't it? 🤣

The US Government is probably going to adopt you as their official subreddit. 😍

Casey Bennett said:How on earth can you be so sure the owner is actually that moderator?
And honestly, do you seriously, truly believe that a platform owner isn't allowed to do whatever they want on their own site? On a forum they actually own? Let me repeat that one more time for clarity: the owner of the forum on their own damn forum. For God's sake.
Not a single user has ever been penalized for having a clone account as long as they behave properly on both the original and the secondary profile.

On the exact same thread? 🤣 🙏

At this point, the administration's race against the fan is basically a dead heat. 😍
New moderator Mr. Smith is on a power trip in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Casey Bennett said:That only applies to people who rack up multiple penalties; the duration automatically extends with every subsequent violation for the exact same reason. If you keep collecting them, you'll eventually find yourself looking at a one-year ban.
The moral of the story: just don't troll.

Yeah, I suppose it depends on me. 🤣

silverpuma61 said:The real problem is that a massive amount of posts from the other side just vanish, leaving us to take their word for it that they actually received warnings.🤣

If they actually had any guts, they’d leave those posts up so we could see these legendary warnings the other side supposedly received. Yeah, right.😬

Anderlon, I know you’re reading this, so I’ll just say your tactics are pretty pathetic—specifically these trolling warnings. As the moderator explained to me, the duration of a warning is set by the forum rules (meaning you decided it), not based on whatever discretion a moderator might have.

So, the rule was introduced where you get a trolling warning for every little thing, costing 10 points and lasting for 6 MONTHS!!!! 🙏

A 10-point trolling warning that stays on your record for 6 MONTHS!!! 🤣

Meanwhile, an insult might cost a few dozen more points, but it carries a ridiculously short timeframe.

In other words, it’s death by a thousand cuts. By accumulating points over a long period, you can easily weed out anyone you don't like. You can always go on a "cool-down" for several days because you’re never really going to be clear of them.
Trolling is probably the most stretched definition ever; everyone can squeeze whatever they want into it.
It's a brilliant way to settle scores with your opponents.🙏

These are pathetic, dictatorial methods. You certainly have the right to use them, but don't be a jerk and hide behind these nasty little tricks.

Just be honest about what you're doing behind the scenes in moderation, since you're already being called out today.😍

I'll be the first to admit it: I earned every single reward point and every single ban I've received on this damn Reddit. That part isn't up for debate. I have issues with self-control. If I can't control myself, then I'll just have to learn the hard way. I have no problem with that.

The core issue here is the blatant double standard. We see this constant distinction between actual trolling and "trolling," between genuine insults and "insults"—it’s just one endless cycle. Ultimately, everything hinges on the identity of the author rather than the substance of their words. That is exactly what that PDF demonstrates. It's obvious.

I'd give anything to see the circular email or message confirming that things are actually going south over at the PZK subreddit. 🤣

Amy Rogers6 said:Let me address the stuff I didn't bold first, since that part is basically irrelevant.

Look, I’m not saying all the mods are liars or straight out of hell—I actually talk to a few of them (a tiny handful, anyway). But honestly? For about 90% of them, I can tell you they hold views that are the polar opposite of mine. It’s not about that, though. It’s about their approach, how they carry themselves, and their consistency—all the stuff that actually makes someone a decent moderator. That’s why I respect them. Usually, when I get hit with a warning, I don't go making a scene in public; I just handle it via PM, even if the messages get heated. And if I realize I actually messed up? I’ll be the first to own it and tell them directly in a PM.

Let’s talk about the moderation here—you guys are following the script to a T. Whether you actually agree with the narrative or not doesn't seem to matter. If you don't toe the line during a crisis like this (and let’s be real, this is the most serious situation this site has ever seen), you either quit or get booted. The fact that hardly anyone has stepped down and almost nobody has been kicked out tells me everything I need to know. It means the mods who don't buy into the narrative are just keeping their mouths shut. There is zero chance that all of you—or even 95% of you—actually share the exact same opinion on this. It's impossible. It just means the official policy coming from the top is so dominant that it drowns everyone else out, including the silent ones. You aren't just "enforcers"; you're split between soldiers and people just bending over to stay in power.

Look, what's getting on your nerves right now is totally irrelevant—you're missing the point entirely. That's not where the real issue lies. The actual problem is the pressure, the tunnel vision, the secrecy, the clones, all those petty little tricks, and how they keep catering to the trolls trying to kill this thread (though they’re failing miserably so far, and honestly, they’re in for a rough winter). Now, let's get to the core of the matter that I bolded for you.

By jumping in immediately when Anderlon popped up under a clone account (which, for the record, I didn't even realize was him at first), I basically stopped the Pilate-style washing of hands from happening in silence. If I hadn't, some new "divine" mod would’ve been dropped out of nowhere with a measly 20 posts, acting like they have the authority to dispense justice—or more likely, just tighten the grip on the subforum. Why is he even here using a clone? Isn't that a direct violation of the very rules he set? The rules clearly state you can't post under both your original handle and a clone within the same thread or subforum. If he thinks he can just ignore his own regulations, then the rules don't actually exist; they're completely unenforceable. At the end of the day, the whole situation is just immoral, petty, and nothing more than cheap trickery.

These aren't actual issues, Casey Bennett, they're just fairy tales—the usual "you did this," "you think that," "we aren't like this, we're free" nonsense. It’s all just mindless babbling from Casey Bennett. Is all you can do is talk? The real question is: what is the boss doing by acting like a clone moderator on this thread? If you can't answer that, then don't bother answering at all. Anderlon can just ignore everything I post anyway. Since he already trampled over the rules regarding clones and main accounts on this thread, it clearly means the rules don't apply to him. No rules whatsoever. He could slap me with a warning right now for no reason, he could ban me, he could even permaban me—he can do whatever he wants. Fine. But at least we’ll finally define and cement exactly what kind of platform this really is....☕

Everything has been said; it's hypocrisy through and through. 🙏

People talk about this being a free American forum where different opinions are allowed, and then, out of nowhere, you get lines like these straight from the owner's pen:

Of course, that doesn't mean our editorial bias and stance on certain topics don't exist. So far, it's only been in Politics. Obviously, it needs to extend to vaccination issues too, especially since we aren't talking about preferences here, but facts and the spread of misinformation.

Refusing vaccines isn't a conspiracy theory; that's more along the lines of aggressive nonsense like Flat Earth, and there's no place for that in a subforum dedicated to this specific issue. You're right, though—that belongs in the Alternative section, if it even belongs there at all.

What can I say, Zeljko? Misinformation?

Do you have any idea how many "misinformations" have turned into "facts" over the last year and a half, while people were constantly getting burned by "true believers" like you who claim to "know" what the facts are?
And when you inevitably turn out to be wrong, every single time, nothing happens, right? We just move on. 😍
You're lecturing someone about stupidity, yet your entire narrative has proven to be a heap of nonsense multiple times in the last eighteen months? 🤦

What does Facebook say? What counts as truth today and what counts as a lie?
If only corrupt science was actually listened to instead of Sećerko. 🤣

You wouldn't even want us in the Alternative section, but you have to keep us there just to maintain the illusion. 😍

Amy Rogers6 said:Seriously, what even is this? How low can we go? Some new moderator just popped up on the COVID subreddit under the name bluelynx52—this guy has, what, twenty posts total, and he’s claiming to be a mod???????????? Who in their right mind makes someone a moderator with only twenty posts??? It’s obvious he’s lying and hiding who he really is—he’s clearly some clone of one of the mods, or an admin, or maybe even the forum owner... What kind of games are being played here??? What is actually happening to you people??? You’ve completely lost the plot. This is rock bottom... absolutely bottom of the barrel.😵😵😵

The absolute peak of this nonsense is that the guy introduced himself as a new moderator in that thread about Sprajc and Bakic that he started. So, naturally, I asked him the exact same questions I'm asking here—who is he and whose clone is he? The result? The guy just deleted my post, claiming off-topic threads get nuked... Unbelievable.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just when you think you've seen it all... 🤣

Casey Bennett said:I’ve been reading through what people are posting on this subreddit and within this specific thread. As for that COVID PDF, I couldn't care less about how much dirt is buried under those fingernails; I left a few comments over there only because I followed a link posted here on this forum.

Naturally, I had to poke fun at a user who’s been lurking here for years with an impressive post count, yet somehow acts like they're hearing the rules for the very first time regarding not commenting on moderation in these threads.
Then, of course, he goes ahead and critiques the mods, only to come storming back to this PDF post all hysterical and terrified because his comment was deleted. Give me a break.

To actually form an opinion about someone, you have to observe their behavior and listen to the stances held by that individual or group. So, tell me: what kind of impression would an outsider get of the author of this thread based solely on the title and the content of the very first post? Just that—there's no need to dig any deeper into the thread.

And no, what you quoted above wasn't some subtle mockery. On the contrary, I was being anything but subtle.

Yet, you're diligently spying on Giod and reporting back to the news chief, who then issues the command, "Go handle it!" 🤣

Actually, this whole thing with bluelynx52 is pretty suspicious. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't a new mod at all, but just an existing moderator talking to themselves and handing out bans, only to switch back to their original account later and say, "It wasn't me, I swear."🤣
How the moderator is handling the COVID situation in Feedback & Suggestions ·
To start with, I have to say I’m pretty disappointed; I was expecting a response within some sort of gold standard of 25 minutes.
I mean, give me at least 50 minutes, considering you actually have moderator duties and a life to live, unlike the average forum user who just sits there spamming the refresh button on their PMs.

I suppose, by your logic, I just wasn't online when I received the warning?
It’s a good thing nobody leaves their laptop or phone with an open forum tab while they go do something else, right?😍

Morgan Peterson said:Did you miss my yellow card and warning?
But then, half an hour later, you were very diligent again posting all the images I deleted?
And then I gave you a 25-point penalty, because it's honestly unbelievable to me that you didn't see the first one. You're playing dumb, and you're trying to make me look dumb, even though I genuinely tried to be fair and not penalize you immediately.

It's "unbelievable" that I missed it?
Do you have any shame at all?
What's unbelievable to me is that you haven't seen this post in 24 hours—that's what's unbelievable.

Since you seem to be having some trouble understanding, let me repeat myself:

***
Because obviously, there is zero chance that during those 20 minutes, I was:

a) in the bathroom
b) napping
c) doing whatever else

And of course, there's no chance that I hit "refresh" on an already open thread via Tapatalk and realized I had a missing post?

And naturally, there's no chance I thought my post didn't go through because, you know, with these buggy American servers, every single post goes through perfectly every time. Not.

So, I'll repost it.

But seriously, Aleta, why don't you explain to me—in plain English—how if I'm on Tapatalk inside an active thread and I'm refreshing it, I'm supposed to see that I've received a new PM?
Come on, Aleta, you're a moderator, surely you understand the technical side of things. You can even paste a screenshot here in whatever language you want to show me how one sees a new PM notification while using Tapatalk inside an open thread.
***

Can I get an answer? How am I supposed to see a PM arrived while I'm in a thread on Tapatalk?

Is that too difficult to answer?

Maybe because the answer would ruin your little explanation?

You're scrambling with pathetic excuses.
You know perfectly well that I saw the PM within those 20 minutes.
How are you not embarrassed?
The Ministry of Truth is in full swing.

By the way, I didn't even file an appeal of a red card, so where are you getting this from?
Besides, I'm not even in the "Appeals" thread.
Quite a questionable capacity for reasoning and comprehension for a moderator.
Card appeals on this forum are just masochistic nonsense.
Since you aren't going to answer the other 33 questions, please just address these four:

1) Can someone explain how to see a PM arrived while you're in a thread on Tapatalk?

2) Am I allowed to continue as I have been, after several hundred image posts, or am I not?

3) If I'm not, what exactly changed? Why was the 370th post fine, but the 371st wasn't?

4) How many of my images featuring Hebrew, French, Italian, Greek, etc., lacked an English translation if the original language was used on them?

Tough question, isn't it?

An even tougher answer... ☕

thanks

How the moderator is handling the COVID situation in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Good morning, Aleta.

I'll send you a warning via DM at 1:52.
You’re acting surprised that I didn't catch him at the 2:17 mark, and now you're handing out bans like candy. Honestly, maybe just stick to the ban corner if this is how you handle things.
Are you serious, Aleta?
When exactly did I fail to get back to you on a DM?
Look, just be straight with me. Whether I give you an "ok" or we end up in a full-blown argument where I tell you exactly what’s on my mind—just tell me.

I don't have the slightest clue why I should even bother sending a PM.
At that point, I guess it was about a twenty-minute wait.
It looks like I was only five minutes away from being sent to the ban corner.
You send an alibi warning, and then, in your perfect little utopia, you probably hand out a 25-minute ban for posting a picture and repeating a post. I guess that's how you see things.

Because, let’s be honest, there was absolutely zero chance I spent those twenty minutes actually doing anything useful.

a) bathroom bio
I suppose I might have drifted off for a second there.
Whatever.

And of course, there’s absolutely zero chance that I’m sitting here in Tapatalk, hitting "refresh" on a thread that's already open, only to realize—too late—that my post didn't actually go through. Typical.

And of course, I’m not delusional enough to think my post actually went through. Because, clearly, with these absolute garbage servers on Tapatalk and Reddit, every single post goes through without a hitch. Not.

Let me try that again.

Listen, Aleta, why don't you be a dear and explain this to me like I’m some kind of idiot? I've been sitting here on Tapatalk, refreshing this thread constantly, and I still can't figure out how to see if I have a new PM. Any ideas?
Come on, Aleta, you’re a moderator, so you actually understand how this technical stuff works. Could you just paste an image here—in whatever language you want—so I can see how a new PM notification actually looks on Tapatalk when you're browsing an open thread?

image

image

Do you honestly think everyone is sitting there refreshing their inbox every few minutes? I mean, maybe for some people, but most of us have actual lives to lead. It’s a bit of a stretch to assume everyone is glued to their messages like that.

So, what’s the actual process here? You issue a warning, then exactly 67 seconds later you drop a ban? And all while adding some lovely little commentary like, "Oh, we'll just pretend you didn't see my warning—or rather, my polite request?" Is this how you intend to weed out anyone who doesn't share your exact perspective? I guess that's one way to handle things. Maybe.

Not so fast, Aleta.
That’s pretty low.
You seem a bit on edge.
Fair enough.

Let’s talk about the picture for a second.
How many more... 100?
200?
300?
Finally, after 371 posts, we actually get an image that doesn't have some random language plastered all over it. I guess that’s progress.
Well, obviously. Not after fifty or so.
I suppose we’re just waiting for that narcissistic little Antilles to show up, since they clearly can't stand being out of the spotlight whenever France is mentioned. 🤣 How many times have you actually called me out on this exact same thing? It's pretty much what the regulars around here already told you when we first touched on the topic.
How much do you actually know?

Zero percent chance.
In letters: ZERO times.

I suppose I should probably quote this warning before someone ends up in the ban corner: "You can't just drop images or links in a language none of us understand without providing some kind of explanation. We manage to get by with English, but what am I supposed to do with all this French?"

So, it’s clearly written quite well. The English is fine, I suppose. But the French? Not so much.
I’m honestly a bit embarrassed.
I wonder how many of my photos—whether they were in Hebrew, French, Italian, Greek, and so on—ended up without any kind of American translation, assuming they were originally written in their native tongues?
That’s a bit of a loaded question, isn't it?
Even more obnoxious. ☕

This warning regarding this particular image? Honestly, only a complete moron would need an explanation for it.
Do you really need me to explain this picture, Aleta?

image

Is there something you're struggling to wrap your head around?
Is there anyone on the "search" forum who doesn't find this perfectly obvious?
Do you honestly think the people on this forum are so slow that they can't grasp something obvious? We’re right in the middle of a heated debate about the protests happening over the last few weeks, and yet, somehow, people are missing the fact that the map clearly shows cities in France. It’s a bit much, I guess. Maybe some people just lack basic observational skills.
Do you actually believe that?

What exactly is the issue when we see images where about 80% of the vital information is in American English, while only 20% is in the local language?
Are you really going to insist that I transcribe everything in these images into plain text?
Are you actually serious?
What’s next? Are we moving to a system where every single post has to be cleared by you first, similar to how things are handled over in the ban corner?
Am I allowed to keep going like I have been, after several hundred image posts, or am I not?
If I'm not, what exactly changed? Why was the first 370 okay, but number 371 isn't?

Are you going to try explaining it away by saying you've been putting up with that 20% English-language ratio for too long?

Maybe the first 50 were an oversight. Maybe the first 100 was just the moderator's tolerance threshold. But what happens after 371?
A shift in editorial policy? A directive from the top brass?

Give me a break...

Why don't you just say what everyone already knows? That the belt is tightening. That the pandemic topic was suddenly shut down in politics overnight. That outside of the "search" thread, you aren't allowed to breathe a word against the official narrative on the pandemic subforum, so you shoved us into a concentration camp focused on this one single topic. And just when you thought, "that's it," you realized this specific thread is the most read thing on the entire forum.
But things are simmering.
Protests are happening all over the world.
Information regarding the virus and vaccines isn't just leaking anymore; it’s spraying in every direction.
There is so much of it now that those few people profiting from this thread are struggling to keep the official story standing on broken legs.

You're the moderator there.
You know perfectly well how posts vanish, how entire discussions disappear under the cover of night, and how points are handed out to the "deserving" behind closed doors.
God knows it's happened less on other threads, not because you're so good, but because they let you.
But I see that is coming to an end, too.

Here is a thought from your colleague, moderator Modesty B, regarding woobiju:

"A blatant example of disrupting a discussion that should be included in an encyclopedia of the internet—the troll edition (if such a thing doesn't exist, it should be created)—under the chapter 'how to wreck a forum thread while pretending to be a decent person'."

How many points did that forum user the moderator is talking about actually rack up in the pandemic subforum?
Was it at least 165?
Should we go for a little stroll together through the archives, holding hands, to see how many threads were opened just for him, how many users complained about him, and to see who is breaking all the records and who gets the most complaints?
Shall we?
Of course not.

What does it feel like when "your people" in this link brutally lay out a psychological profile of a user based on his posts, subforums, and activity timing (Modesty says: "the issue isn't the discussion, it's the manner of the discussion"), yet you have to swallow his garbage day after day because your hands are tied?

Is it worth it?
Seriously, is it worth it in the end, Aleta?

Do you know how many questions I've asked you in this post, including the one you are reading right now?

Is that really what we're calling a "thread" now? 🤣

So, they learned three words of French and now they're playing the part of some high-brow intellectual. I guess those little pictures say everything that needs to be said. Feel free to leave your commentary under every single one of them, Ministry of Truth style. Go ahead—it'll be a real embarrassment. 😍

Maybe try to dial back the drama a little and give my last post another careful read. I’m actually talking about that 8% figure, not 30%. 🙄
Are you trying to say that when you wrote...

Morgan Peterson said:I have been keeping a close eye on this vaccination poll since the very first discussions regarding the virus surfaced, and honestly, the numbers haven't budged much; it looked almost identical back then, with nearly 70 percent opposed and a timid 30 percent in favor.

Now, considering that the rollout is already well underway—with over 500,233 people having received at least one dose—why would we expect a sudden shift in sentiment here? It might move at a glacial pace, certainly, but eventually, we will reach that targeted 70% threshold, if not surpass it.
After all, people are watching the vaccinated and seeing that nothing catastrophic is happening, which proves that life can actually return to a semblance of normalcy.

In the end, we will be left with only a handful of stubborn, fringe anti-vaxxers, who, frankly, represent nothing more than an insignificant and loud minority.

Do you really think it’s realistic to assume that 92% of the population will actually end up getting vaccinated? I mean, I guess one could hope, but I seriously doubt it.

If we ever actually hit that 75% mark without them rolling out some "vaccinate or lose your job" mandate or a "get the shot or you can't even buy bread" rule, then I guess I owe everyone an apology. 🍿

Whoa, hold on. New math alert: apparently, a potential 20-30% unvaccinated population is an "insignificant and massive minority"?

MASSIVE? Really?

INSIGNIFICANT? Isn't every single life—every single vote—supposedly valuable? Or was that just something our leaders used to say to win us over...

For those of you pushing the vaccine, you're framing this as if people are being forced into it. In reality, the situation is almost the opposite; rights are being stripped away to pressure people into compliance because the people in charge lack the backbone to simply declare vaccination mandatory.

Another thing: Pre-COVID, childhood vaccination rates were sitting around 92-93%.

That leaves 8% as "anti-vaxxers."
THOSE are the anti-vaxxers.

In a situation where you're left with 30% of people who simply choose not to vaccinate, labeling them all "anti-vaxxers" is incredibly rude and quite frankly, shameless.

The vast majority of those people gave the most precious thing they have—their children—to the needle during "peaceful" times, only to be called anti-vaxxers by people like you.

It's disgraceful.

And look, I don't have anything against the rate reaching 70 or 80%.

But the moment my employer—pressured by a government that refuses to take responsibility—starts making my job conditional on vaccination, or a grocery store blocks me from entering because of it, while the state continues to insist that vaccination isn't mandatory, I’ll tell anyone pushing or supporting these tactics exactly what they are: human garbage.
