What do power users actually do for a living? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
bluecyclist64 said:Paul Bunyan, you’ve got some nerve. You probably actually believe they just shot up Sandpaper, thinking he didn't head straight into the jungle and isn't coming back... Or that Elvis Presley isn't currently on Mars...🙂
Honestly, it's ridiculous. When he was still breathing, Vincent van Gogh couldn't have even painted a pantry door for the price of a cheap breakfast sandwich, yet now look at him—he's become a commercial icon.
It seems we, the seemingly dead, are the ones actually running this world!🙂

This is exactly why I spat my coffee all over the patio🤣
This is what this forum amounts to. Last night I was crying my eyes out, and today I am absolutely dying of laughter😬

And just like that, a voting bloc is forming. 🎉

I find myself agreeing entirely.
And let’s be clear—it isn't because I’m particularly thrilled about increasing the female quota in Parliament; rather, I am simply backing this candidate and her platform. Besides, a nice set of breasts is always a welcome sight, wouldn't you agree?😁

That is precisely what I am asking you. 🙂

I'm not going to make any grand promises here, but I am asking for your support in the local elections. 🎉

You have my vote right now, 🙂
both here and at the local polls.

Department of Mining Research and Time Wasting 😁

Nah, politics isn't really my scene.
Christian Myers said:If you're voting for the American forum sovereignty enthusiasts, we'll even promise that we won't promise anything.

And there go the promises right out of the gate. Zero points.
Sandra Kern37 said:The FDZ promises plenty, but they rarely follow through on anything, so you might as well treat them as the same thing.🎉

How does that make them any different from everyone else?
Rachel Richardson said:She isn't just looking for minor adjustments; she wants a total paradigm shift.
It’s not merely about practical fixes, but a complete ideological overhaul 🍿

Let's aim to become the next Greece. 😁

Now, that's more like it!
Promise absolutely nothing, and if you actually manage to get something done, you're already ahead of the curve.

Rachel Richardson said:"We won't promise anything, and we'll actually deliver on that"? 😁
Maybe we need a new 😁

But I suspect my own party makes just enough promises to be interesting. 🍿

Exactly!
A few meager promises simply won't cut it; I want a political party that refuses to make any promises at all. 🙂

I don't need anything else, since they've already promised me everything.

Everyone seems to be making far too many promises 🕺

Is there actually any political party out there that doesn't promise the moon?
Scott Nguyen5 said:Your struggle with your own past traumas isn't anyone else's burden to carry.

Love is simply an intense feeling of attachment.
Tolerance and understanding are matters of intellect, not emotion.

Fine, I agree that managing my own trauma isn't anyone else's responsibility. However, when someone chooses to disrespect those traumas, it serves as a direct reflection of their lack of character and a total absence of respect toward me. I am under no obligation to endure that. In those moments, my empathy evaporates. One has to wonder, where was the empathy from the other side?

It honestly irritates me to hear this constant preaching about empty empathy—this idea that I should just accept an apology and move on with a smile while the other person gets to tear me down whenever they feel like it, only to offer a hollow apology later to clear their conscience.
Forget that, and forget this concept of unconditional love. That isn't love; it’s just self-degradation. 🤮

That would be my two cents; Kimberly Perez19 is over and out. 👋
Scott Nguyen5 said:That is nothing more than your own subjective, rather intolerant, and frankly incomprehensible opinion. 😛

One ought to understand the reasons why people cross certain lines, not just the mechanics of how they did it; that is what actual understanding entails.

Incomprehensible to you, perhaps.
If you want an example of mine?
He struck me at my most vulnerable point, knowing full well it would cause me to unravel.
I endured significant childhood trauma and required years to recover from it, only to be accused by someone of lying about the experience.
In that exact moment, all communication was terminated. I have zero interest in apologies or excuses.

And this was his doing as well—he struck where he had no right to, and where he absolutely should not have.
Chloe Cooper10 said:Go ahead and tear him apart; it’ll probably have more impact than anything else 😉

I'd be happy to.
It was crystal clear that his girlfriend wasn't feeling it and that he was failing to meet certain standards, yet he chose to double down on his mistakes instead of listening. Now, predictably, he's crawling all over this forum playing the victim. 🙄

jebiga, there's no use crying about it after the fact. 🙂
Chloe Cooper10 said:Unfortunately, you’re right.
One eventually learns how things work through experience.

Come on, give it a rest already. Just back off a little bit. 🕺
I suspect Sal would probably tell you the exact same thing.

I happen to know exactly what's going on here. He hurt a friend of mine, and if he were anywhere near my neighborhood, I’d make it my personal mission to wipe him off the map.

I have personally experienced what it means when someone wounds you so deeply that there is simply no longer any room for discussion regarding apologies or moving past it with a lighthearted attitude.
Scott Nguyen5 said:Your main priority should be offering an apology when you hurt someone so you can move forward on a positive note. Empathic people—which I assume she is, otherwise she wouldn't be so easily offended—essentially feed off the energy of others.

If she doesn't pull herself together within a reasonable timeframe and things don't return to normal within two weeks at most, then she’s clearly just insecure, and you should drop any notion of trying to coexist happily with someone like that.

There are certain things for which an apology simply isn't enough. Some lines are never meant to be crossed, and some mistakes are unforgivable. Once those boundaries are violated, there is no talking about apologies, acceptance, or getting back to a friendly status quo.
Morgan Campbell4 said:Yeah, I get that... but honestly, I don't even know these people. 😒

Today hasn't been much better; I ended up hurting someone I really didn't want to. 😐

Once words are spoken, they drift away like feathers in the wind, impossible to reclaim.
It's far too late for tears now. 😳

Now we simply wait for the higher powers—namely, the water department executives—to weigh in on this. 😁

Besides, a little hazelnut always helps when I'm dealing with my period.🙂

I am. I'm a crazy, bitter old woman.🥳
And Sauron is a total coward.😳

Then stop acting like a coward and just go ahead and start a thread titled "Matthew Anderson is an idiot and he’s driving me insane" 😳"
😬

At the risk of looking like I’m overreacting to every little thing, I have to say that I don't see anything inherently wrong with the posts in question. Ladies, I'm sorry, but I simply disagree.
The terminology Matthew Anderson used is common parlance and isn't strictly limited to men. There is an identical "unspoken code" among most women I know. Ultimately, there are several threads on Reddit and various other forums that tackle similar subject matter where people are criticized verbally regardless of their gender.

I find the post by Bliss to be somewhat problematic, unless one interprets it through the lens of sexual manipulation. It makes me wonder if you would be just as offended if, instead of a word starting with 'p', it were a word starting with 'k'.🤷

I am willing to concede the possibility that I might be completely off base here.🤷

And you’d essentially be inviting a total circus where people would think they can act however they please just because "they're the ones paying the bills."🙄
