Acupuncture and weight loss in Health ·
Honestly, my take on acupuncture? Total waste of money if you're trying to lose weight. The diet part is fine, sure, but as far as suppressing hunger goes—it did absolutely zero for me.
Look, Jeffrey Edwards5 says discipline is everything, but you don't need needles to stay disciplined. To me, acupuncture feels more like paying someone to babysit you every week so you have someone to "report" to.
Don't expect any sympathy either—they're brutal. If you gain even a single pound, they'll make you feel like garbage.

It sounds pretty ridiculous to me, though—being treated like that after you've dumped a small fortune on this whole parody.
I mean, at the end of the day, you have to hold yourself accountable first. Once you actually do that, you don't need acupuncture anymore.
But hey, if having some outside authority figure helps someone stay on track, whatever... why not...
Heh, depends, man, it really depends... judging by the budget and the lineup of upcoming actors, I’m betting it’s something like "Strong Republic." 😁
Only the strong survive... in Philosophy ·
It all comes down to priorities. I’ll suck up to my boss just to make sure I don't get canned—because keeping up with my mortgage and feeding my kids is way more important than my dignity. I let my teenage son act like he owns the damn house because I can't afford to lose him. I'll walk down an aisle in some church just because marrying the person I love matters more to me. I'd even sell myself on a street corner in NYC if it meant staying alive and avoiding getting beaten to death by some thug. Everyone has their own set of priorities.

I dig this breakdown, but let’s be real—what percentage of people actually fit into these neat little boxes? No matter how clever you think you're being by categorizing people into "higher" vs. "lower" spiritual levels, it still feels way too broad.

By this logic, I’m somewhere stuck between level 3 and level 4, though I don't fully vibe with either group.
