Man, just buy an SSD. You can turn that old hard drive into an external one to store your photos, music, and movies. A decent enclosure only costs a few bucks, so it's a no-brainer. 🙂 Alternatively, you could install the SSD and then grab a cheap adapter for about 100-$50 bucks. You can pop a standard HDD into the adapter, slot it right where the DVD drive used to be, and suddenly you've got both an SSD and a 750GB hard drive inside your laptop.
What’s the best way to go about getting a permanent ban? Since you guys don't actually delete user accounts, I'd prefer if you just banned me for good and called it a day. Do I need to start a fight with the moderators or something? 😁
What on earth is going on with this forum?! I'm getting hit with constant errors, those ads are becoming unbearable, and today the site is running at a snail's pace! Is someone actively messing with the backend, or is the server just completely overwhelmed? And where are all the threads and posts disappearing to? Why have they started mass-deleting content—including brand new, legitimate threads that aren't even spam—without a single word of explanation to anyone?!
Forget the case, man. Just throw your computer into a cookie sheet and call it a day. ☕
Avoid $100 because those things are absolute garbage. The airflow options are nonexistent, making thermal management a nightmare, and if you happen to have an older drive using a PATA connection that vibrates, you’re going to love the symphony of rattling noises every time you nudge the tower!
I'm dealing with a complete lack of audio on my Windows 7 SP1 system. It stays completely silent until I manually launch C-Media Does anyone have a solution for this? 😁 P.S. I messed with the appearance of the start button and now I have no clue how to revert it to its original look 😂
I just caught up with your post 😁 I managed to get it sorted out at the repair shop. Apparently, some capacitor or whatever had swollen up and blown out, 🤷 Look, I’m no electrician, so I can't give you the technical specifics, but the bottom line is that it's working again. 😛
Hey everyone, you guys always come through when I'm stuck, so I'm hoping for some help once again here. 😁 I’m running into an issue with a monitor on one of my rigs. Everything seems fine when I shut down the PC normally, but when I go to power it up the next morning, there's just no image. 😲 The setup uses an EVGA GeForce GTX 5870 as the GPU, paired with a Dell UltraSharp W2443T monitor. The power button on the monitor stays lit, which makes me think the computer isn't sending a signal, yet the screen doesn't even display a "NO SIGNAL" message or anything similar. Right now, I've got a generic monitor hooked up that works perfectly fine. Do you think this could be a faulty cable on the Dell, or is the monitor itself ready to head to the great junkyard in the sky? 🤣?
