Are you actually sure about that? Honestly, I must have been drunk every single time I read those accounts of certain teachers practically groveling before their actual students—those "spiritual sons"—whom they would gladly hand everything they own to, unlike this greedy mob that refuses to accept anything beyond blessings, healings, passing the buck, and spiritual ego-tripping and sheer stupidity.

What you actually need is a solid diet, much gentler asanas and Pranayama, relaxation techniques, and just getting more movement into your daily life...

There is absolutely no point in attempting advanced kriyas when you can barely hold a basic posture without struggling or finding yourself completely winded after just two minutes of light Pranayama.
Can't sleep! in Health ·
There’s just something about getting a decent workout out in the elements, you know? Somewhere up in the hills where the air actually feels clean.

Then, once you finally make it back home, it's all about grabbing a bite to eat—though honestly, trying not to overdo it is a struggle, especially when you're practically ready to pass out for the night—and pairing it with a glass of Cabernet.

I’m not entirely convinced that kind of approach would fly with a high-quality lover. See, the thing about this guy is that he doesn't come across like a brute or a heavy hitter; more like... well, let's call him a charmer. That’s really his bread and butter when it comes to winning women over.
The man is a total amateur 🙂
He isn't out there trying to drag a woman into bed through sheer force; instead, he’s busy spinning this intricate web until she’s the one pulling him under.😉

Both of these guys are putting in the work, really. It’s just that one is a total smooth talker who knows exactly which buttons to press to manipulate a woman's emotions, while the other is still naive enough to think being honest actually matters. 😁 Women don't crave raw honesty; they want a beautiful story. At the end of the day, it’s all about how you package the product rather than what’s actually inside the box.

Jack Harris3 said:See? You just admitted it yourself—that men are primarily driven by the urge to get a woman into bed, whereas women are looking for that "forever" kind of stability. And let’s not forget the nonsense women pull. Honestly, you all deserve three times the trouble you give. 🙂

But honestly, no, it isn't quite like that; we simply refuse to believe that they are actually that bad, which is why we always end up giving in. 😁

It isn't all men, though; it's specifically *that* kind of man.

People just constantly fall for those types. Or maybe it’s just those specific guys who put on an act, playing the fool just to charm some girl because, frankly, that's the only way to land them. It’s a performance. Contrast that with this guy I know—one of the most decent, genuine people I've ever met—and he can never seem to catch a break with women. Why? Because he isn't toxic enough to play the game. And without the act, there's no business. All this talk from women about wanting "honesty" is nothing but empty rhetoric; they just want to hear whatever sounds good in the moment, regardless of the reality behind it.

The syntax of a foreign language doesn't bother you either, provided you've internalized it and can actually function within it.

Haha, well, if you understand how electricity works, you aren't going to let your dog stick its nose in an outlet.

Men and women really do think differently; there's no denying that.
Which is precisely why I find this endless, utterly pointless comparison between the two so exhausting. What's the utility in it? You don't compare apples to oranges, yet people insist on comparing the sexes, even though there’s arguably less fundamental difference between an apple and an orange than there is between a man and a woman.

I agree with that. There is no point in comparing. Women simply need to realize they are the subordinate sex and learn to be quiet, listen, and just play nice... then maybe the world would actually stand a chance.

No woman is ever going to reject a truly top-tier man. One who is elite by her standards.
What looks like a "top-tier man" to you might look like a complete pig to some other woman.
And don't worry, women always have an explanation for everything, but since it's rarely "logical," why bother trying to argue it?

Sure, according to her CURRENT standards. Which could last for ten years or just for ten minutes. It all depends on how their 🙄
Women don't actually have concrete criteria for men because they don't truly comprehend them. They fall for behavior and attitude rather than actual personality. The worst player in our society can pick up almost any girl. He simply has access, an attitude, a system, and 90% of them fold. And even the remaining 10% will give in if he puts in the effort (which is the real challenge). Female psyches are so similar that once you crack the code, you can win over anyone. Of course, dealing with men is even easier—you just have to show 🙂 😁
In reality, when it comes to the "hunt," only one thing matters: the objective, the vision, and the mission. A man has a specific goal (getting a woman into bed) and a vision of how to achieve it. He treats the execution as a vital life mission. He moves strategically through conversations and behavior to guide her toward that state where his goal is realized. The difference between him and your "top-tier pig" is that the pig says whatever he thinks, whereas this guy doesn't care about truth, opinions, or dialogue... everything is subservient to the goal. He speaks and acts in a way he knows will trigger her—giving her that sense of security, relaxation, understanding, being on the "same wavelength," and so on.
In my experience, it has never happened that a man failed to charm a woman, regardless of all this conscious, intelligent, spiritual, and other feminine posturing.
So please, spare me the lecture on "criteria." You lot are about as capable of evaluating men as I am at calculating orbital mechanics for a SpaceX launch. 🙄

God, as if the world isn't already chaotic and bloody enough as it is...😛
And maybe you could explain to me why women should care about this supposed "male world and male way of thinking" when we are talking about them and their own private lives? When it comes to deciding which man they’re going to walk beside or live with, for instance? 🤔

A chaotic mess like that shouldn't be allowed to make any decisions at all. Honestly, they should just let old men arrange their marriages. That way, they'll listen to the elders, and then eventually to their husbands. What kind of "personal choice" is that anyway?

Oh, please—that exact little issue is the very root of what you wrote and the reason you hold such a specific opinion; so yes, there is absolutely a connection.

It feels like I might have missed a step somewhere here 🤔

P.S. Good grief, I love these kinds of topics 🙂

If you’re talking about that tall, lanky Black man they all pitied, then I’m with you. It’s a hell of a movie. 👍
Amy Turner10 said:How on earth am I supposed to explain to my dad that being a vegetarian isn't the same thing as committing acts of terrorism?

1. Whatever you do, don't go introducing him to REVENGER4N. 😁
2. If he's from the deep rural South, consider it a massive victory if he just thinks you're eccentric or unwell rather than some kind of radical extremist. 😁
Bar, speaking from my own experience dealing with older folks from the Midwest... a friend of mine spent some time out in a tiny little farming town in Kansas. He said they just couldn't wrap their heads around it. It was nothing but comments about how you were "unhealthy" or "not right in the head." 😁
And then, after all that judgment, they’ll serve up this "tiny little snack" of meatless food that wouldn't even feed a small platoon. I suppose they figure since you aren't eating meat, you have to eat ten times the volume just to keep from collapsing from starvation. 😁
Sending love and empathy in Spirituality ·
Empathy is essentially the antithesis of selfishness, isn't it? I’ve always felt that the more we strip away our own selfish cravings—those relentless personal desires, the constant needs, the burning passions, the messy attachments, and all those narrow-minded impulses—the more room there is for true empathy to actually exist. Once we get swallowed up by the grind of our careers, the pursuit of a paycheck, our endless ambitions, and the complexities of our social circles, we tend to retreat into these little cocoons of self-importance, becoming increasingly insular. It seems to me that people possess a certain heightened sensitivity to the world around them when they're younger, before they get fully entrenched in the chaotic, ego-driven theater of adult life.
The first things that spring to mind—nothing groundbreaking here, just the usual suspects:

It really just depends on what major you're studying. I have a buddy who went to school in Austin, and everything was smooth sailing except for his linguistics exam. Even though he spoke the language pretty well by our standards—and believe me, he’s been practicing for a while now—that particular test still kicked his teeth in.
What are you listening to? in Music ·
Man, I listen to Metal, but I have to admit there’s actually a weird common ground between it and country music😉😁
N/A in the atmosphere.
And obviously, when you look at top-tier musicians🙂
It’s like, these rockers act all high and mighty, but honestly, any country guitar player from Nashville could eat them alive for lunch😛
Bruce Almighty in Movies ·
The Dude said:We're talking about Bruce Almighty here, for heaven's sake—it’s a cookie-cutter flick, just another mass-produced product straight off the studio assembly line. How on earth could something like that possibly impress anyone with its supposed spirituality?

That's just nonsense 😉 😁
Can food be "energetically" contaminated? in Health ·
I truly believe it’s possible.
There is such a massive, palpable difference between eating out at a restaurant and having a home-cooked meal, even when the restaurant food is actually delicious. For me, it just never hits quite the same way.
You can also sense the mood of whoever prepared it. You can tell if someone was cooking through a screen, maybe fueled by some underlying anger, or if they were working with genuine passion...

Is it just pure energy, or is it simply that a person puts more effort into their craft when they actually love what they do?

Who exactly are we talking about here? 🙂

So, I have to ask—is Let 3 just total nonsense?

Pretty decent. Actors. 👎
They lack any real substance, so they have no choice but to overcompensate with all that posturing just to make sure anyone actually notices they exist. 🙂

marlon said:Punk has gone completely mainstream...

To me, punk has been garbage since its inception. I couldn't care less about the poseurs, the faux-rebellion, the "breaking social taboos," or any of that nonsense.
Most punks are, frankly, pretty mediocre musicians.
As for what the Zeppelin guys are doing now, I wouldn't know—I don't listen to them. But back in the day, they actually had some decent material for their era. Besides, Jimi Hendrix isn't even close to being on the level of Mike Macalpine or Satriani, yet nobody calls him garbage. He was what he was in his own time. In a historical context, he’s likely one of the most influential, if not the greatest. Personally, I’d only put Satriani ahead of him, even though there’s a whole crowd of guitarists out there who are technically superior.
Quality is something that demands effort: talent, inspiration, practice, knowledge... the ability to pull all those elements together. Garbage is just whatever is produced by someone trying to scramble onto a stage and distract an audience without having any actual quality behind it.

Actually, come to think of it... there are bands that aren't exactly technical marvels (take W.A.S.P., for example) and I don't even particularly like their music, yet I still don't dismiss them as garbage just because of some supposed "attitude."
It's an undefinable concept. If I say something is good, it's good; everything else is just shit, or total garbage. 😛

marlon said:One more thing. Alexander Parker69, I think you're off base here... most garage rock outfits play way better than those "avant-garde" or "progressive" pretenders... There isn't much else to complain about!

Hmm? Are you actually suggesting that some local bar band or, to be honest, plays better than DT? Or even the Stones compared to Zeppelin?

Garage rock is just garage rock because they can't play. That’s the literal definition. 😉
For instance, plenty of country artists (since you brought them up) play better than the vast majority of these "urban" groups. Just because some hipster types or music industry politicians who can't hold a note try to philosophize about it doesn't mean those country players aren't legitimate musicians. 😁

Look, I’m not necessarily taking shots at the guy. (I mean, let's be real, when you're pumping that many pills a day, you're practically engineered to be a hit with the ladies 😛 )
But as far as actual musical substance goes... I just can't say he's got much to offer. He might sell a bad song or perhaps a decent lyric here and there, but that's about the extent of it.😉
