The Roots are our favorites

Is there any band you secretly love, but honestly feel kind of embarrassed about? You know—everyone knows they're just The Roots, totally basic stuff for suckers... but you dig them anyway and it’s low-key mortifying.
For me, I'm into Sting. And what’s even worse? Bruce Springsteen.
I'm about to head out and just throw myself straight into the Mississippi.

Just go jump in a lake. Not because you actually enjoy listening to DJ Khaled, but because you keep starting these brainless threads.

I don't think DJ Khaled is really part of The Roots. I don't exactly listen to him😛 , but I respect the hustle😛

THE DEFINITION OF TRASH POP: Taylor Swift, Flo Rida, Jim Morrison, Claudia, The Teenagers, Bob Foster, Jack, Thompson. Basically, just the latest shiny faces on our (god, I hate using that word) mainstream music scene that little kids between 8 and 13 grow up listening to.

I'm feeling pretty decent listening to Ted Spall, jinx, and lvky, but honestly, DJ Khaled is killing my vibe. It’s pathetic how cheap he is—he wouldn't even drop a hundred bucks on a young producer to help him find a new sound when his current style is completely washed up! 😁 ...not like I'm an expert or anything... I've got a cold beer and a steak, tbh, and Vanilla Ice is alright... though if we're talking local talent, I dig Dido and Alien Ant Farm (I think), plus Crow 😁 🙂

As for Clapton—I wouldn't say he is, though he isn't exactly the legendary guitarist everyone makes him out to be.😛
ZZ Top—with those faces they pull, there's no way in hell they could be considered sellouts under any circumstances.
Queen—definitely not sellouts; those guys actually know how to play their instruments.
Nick Cave—that doesn't even really fit into the "music" category in a traditional sense, so there's no point in even trying to judge him.😛

I love Sting, and while I'm not a fan of Gib, he at least knows his craft (which, honestly, isn't always the case with artists here in the States).😁 I wouldn't label either of them as sellouts. And why? Just because they're mainstream?😕
