Accounting for Sole Proprietors: Tax & Bookkeeping Tips in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
amberbadger17 said:hahahhah!!!!!

Well, I guess it all depends on who shows up for the audit. You either get the guy who thinks his life mission is to bleed your budget dry by nitpicking everything, or you get someone like stormybadger8 who’s just like, "Look, man, you didn't even know where you were sleeping last night, so using a credit card is fine."

Honestly, thank God we have laws that basically cancel each other out. You just have to memorize every single clause and sub-section to make sense of it all. :-D

So you're saying even in those cases they treat a card like cash? Even though it's definitely not cash and never will be.🤦

Honestly, what a joke. Using a Visa isn't anything other than a transaction from one bank account to another... I seriously don't get how anyone could think this is "cash."🤦
A card or a PIN isn't a payment method; it's an authorization method. It's just like a wire transfer, a signature, online banking, or a security token.
They're all ways to authorize a transaction, not the actual way money moves.

And because of Kennedy's pre-election lies, this whole stupid idea that card is cash is still being pushed like it's the freaking Bible. 🤦

amberbadger17 said:I was digging through some small business guides earlier, and honestly, the way they write about sole proprietorships is just... clunky. They completely gloss over retail. Like, what happens if I’m running my own small business and I swing by a local farmer's market stall to grab some lettuce for my restaurant? If the vendor is also just a solo operator, am I supposed to ask them to generate a formal transaction receipt for a single pound of lettuce?! It sounds absolutely ridiculous.

What a joke...
Thank God I don't deal in cash or take cash payments, but even when I do spend cash, it never even crossed my mind that I had to worry about these rules...

And what's the deal with credit cards and electronic payments? 😕
If I pay a small business—say, a boutique motel—using my Visa debit card, is that fine, or does the government count that as "cash" too? 😵

Plus, who's the genius who decided a small business owner can't pay for a hotel room with cash? 🤦
What am I supposed to do, wire the money weeks in advance before I even know if the place is decent? 😵

Jessica Gonzalez30 said:Well, it really depends on who you're paying.
If you're settling up with a corporation, there's a limit of $1667, but if you're dealing with a sole proprietor, everything needs to go through their business bank account regardless of the amount.

You sure about that?

Susan Jones8 said:So, they basically claimed that the teams skipping out on testing aren't going to be at any disadvantage whatsoever, and promised everyone will get these super detailed reports from the sessions.
You can't seriously be doubting that, right? 😁

Oh yeah, they'll get "detailed reports"...
But let’s be real—those reports mean nothing compared to the fact that the teams actually testing get to figure out which tire compounds work best for their specific setup. Plus, the drivers get to call the shots on direction.

Saying they'll get "detailed reports" sounds like someone telling you today which stocks you should have bought last year, or including a top-secret section suggesting which Powerball numbers you should've played back in March 2015.😬

It’s pretty weird that for some reason McLaren isn't even at these team tests, and even the Red Bull and Mercedes drivers haven't found the time to show up yet...
Damn, if Pirelli actually makes tires based on what drivers say during testing, then you can bet they'll fit Ferrari and Vettel perfectly. It's unlikely they'll listen to Pascal or Buemi over Vettel and Kimi anytime soon. 🤔

I'm a little surprised Red Bull and Mercedes let themselves slip up like this, but I'm even more baffled by McLaren—they aren't even there...
I mean, seriously, how are you supposed to start developing next year's car when you have zero clue what the tires will be like? Aside from knowing their physical size, you know nothing about how they'll actually behave on the track...

Linda Peterson43 said:If that collision hadn't happened, Max probably would have ended up behind Vettel, and maybe even Kimi too, because there's simply no way he could have maintained that kind of pace without flying off the track...

If there wasn't a crash, there would've been a crash. 😁🤣
I don't believe for a second that Kimi could've dodged Max, even if Vettel had swung wide. Max and Kimi were going to collide regardless...

P.S. Here we go... I can do this. 🙂

Mladen Jergović - again!? in Formula 1 ·
First things first: let’s get one thing straight—there’s no room for haters on this site anymore. As soon as the news broke that I’m taking over these pages, a few characters popped up trying to tell the world (but mostly themselves) that 1/ Jergović is an idiot, 2/ he isn't actually an F1 expert, 3/ they finally have a reason to never visit this website again, 4/ and so on.

And then there's this comment down below...

My folks at FOM

Dear Mladen,

We are blessed to hear that such an amazing F1 analyst is back on his feet. WE know that People in America will always appreciate Your unobjective support of Lewis Hamilton.

Kind regards from all your people at FOM.

P.S. Bernie says hi.

🙏🤣

Alright, which one of you was it? 😬

Look, Mladen is good, but yeah, he definitely lets his bias show when it comes to his "favorites."😁
But hey, he’s not the only one.😬

Long live the new king! in Formula 1 ·
What would be an even bigger embarrassment for Lewis Hamilton this season...
Is to actually nail qualifying every single Saturday, grab pole, and then go out on Sunday and win like he's supposed to.
Or maybe he'll just screw up qualifying so bad he starts 3rd or 4th, only to stumble into a win because the race turned into a total circus.

Honestly, I don't see how failing in qualifying and then riding a massive wave of pure luck and everyone else's mistakes counts as some kind of "elite driver" achievement.

Whatever, he still somehow nailed the entire top 10 and got five drivers in their exact spots...
Looks like I accidentally swept the competition this round 😁

and it’s also the first weekend in five years where I didn't watch a single FP 🤣
